• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

The Chimaera Project IV

So we'll be starting now.

It's still open, but anyone who joins after the first few posts will have to wait until an appropriate time to join. Reserveds are assumed to be inside the cell already, though they can't post until any problems with the sign-up are fixed; if they decide to drop out, the extras will be turned into NPCs.

Please remove signatures from posts in the main thread to keep clutter down, and, of course, all OOC comments and questions should go in this thread unless it directly has something to do with your own IC post.

Unless you increase the character's age or make him a bit younger when he signed up for the military (16 at least to enter the academy), he can't be out of the academy yet. Two years in the academy, and one year as a cadet that's actually fighting, and then after that you can be put into a unit properly, though you can be training to be part of a covert unit during the final year, I suppose. If he, at the age of eighteen, chose to join the military, he'd have to be at least twenty years old now to be in any unit at all. If he joined at the age of sixteen instead, then he could be eighteen now.

Did he learn Guns Akimbo in the academy, or did he just have normal training and never learn to do two at once all that accurately?

(In Ch 58, Hawkeye says, "Cadets are sent to the battlefield during their final year [of the academy] for on-site training." This also implies there must be a plural number of in-school training, which I arbitrarily set to two. The 18 minimum was also sort of arbitrary, and it includes cadets just because. But yes, I have canon support.)

Xaldin: Haha, you made him 16 ... and used "guns akimbo" in the text. That's not actually a term the military would use, they'd just say using two guns at once, but ... it amuses me. Greatly.

Accepted.
