• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

High Pitched Voices?

Well, to quote Bubapedia:
Gary Oak (Japanese: オーキド・シゲル Shigeru Ōkido) is the primary rival of Ash Ketchum and grandson of Professor Oak. His Japanese voice actress is 小林優子 Yūko Kobayashi, his English voice actor is Jimmy Zoppi, and his Brazilian-Portugese voice actors are Rodrigo Andreatto (regular), Marcelo Campos (in H015), Eduardo Serandini (in AG186) and Thiago Barione (in AG191).

His English voice actor is the same.

Or maybe you're just trying too hard to find something to criticize PUSA on.

Or maybe Jimmy really IS having problems pulling off the same voice.

Very true. Very True. But give 'em some slack, eh? They are trying there hardest to sound like the characters they portray, having to match voice flaps, content standards, what the old actors sounded like etc. etc.

I agree: from what I've seen/heard/whatever of DP, Ash still hasn't hit puberty. His voice is still quite high pitched. And I agree on the May part - her voice is very high pitched.

I hate the Anime In English. In Japanese It seems a million times better. And it is. Damn PUSA for giving them such crappy voices!!!
