-ROUND 13-

Spazz can almost feel its ectoplasmic body relax into its usual semi-fluid self as it draws back toward the pure white wall of the cup. A dark blue aura with flecks of black flickering in and out of existence begins to emanate from places normally glowing green or orange as it waits patiently for a move that it could steal. Meanwhile, on the other side of the giant golden wall separating the two, Aeris eyes the newly glowing Rotom with caution as she considers her action. She's pretty sure she's seen whatever it is her opponent is doing somewhere before, but she can't quite put her finger (well, paw-thingy) on where. Oh well, she thinks, and begins to shed bits and pieces of her wool into the tea, which after a while begin to shape themselves into a form that looks vaguely like a Mareep, if you just sorta squint you eyes a little (it's actually pretty good by sheep standards).

Just as Aeris prepares to breathe a bit of her own life into the newly made doll, the dark aura surrounding Spazz springs out at it like a long length of wire unwinding from its spool faster than you can say semiconductor. The dark blob, now fully extended and gripping the doll with a grip that's so tight that the Rotom is half worried it might crush it. As it is dragged back to its new owner, Spazz makes a quick check for damage before carving the words "PROPERTY OF SPAZZ" onto the side and passing a good deal of its own life energy into it. The Mareep doll springs to life, willing and eager to defend what it thinks to be its creator from anything.

[Spazz- HP: 61%, PP: 56%, no longer paralyzed, sub at 20%] [Aeris- HP: 35%, PP: 48%]

The lawnmower lookalike ignores his new wool shield for the moment, taking the time to pummel through the shimmering wall of light, albeit with far less ferocity this time around. Still, it proves little obstacle with its heightened attack, and he barrels on through to beat the snot out of his enemy. Aeris realizes that this is much less intense, but the memory of the previous Facade is still fresh and it's more than enough to make her recoil in fear. Her beating ends fairly soon, and Spazz returns to the other end of the cup, where its substitute can defend it. Taking a moment to recover her wits, the Mareep raises her soaked tail out of the tea, amazed that she managed to stay afloat throughout both Facades. After a few shakes, the bulb at the tip of her striped tail begins to glow for a moment before firing a multicolored, neon beam straight at her assailant. However, the sheep's old replica simply jumps in the way, absorbing the hit without a second thought.

[Spazz- HP: 61%, PP: 53%, sub at 16%] [Aeris- HP: 27%, PP: 41%]

Both Spazz and Aeris get the strangest sense of deja vu as the Rotom begins to charge at the shimmering Reflect barrier dividing the cup in two. This does not seem to affect Spazz so much, because its attention is quickly shifted to a bright spot on the far end of the wall, right next to the rim of the cup. No one can be sure, but somehow it seems to mix up the words "Mareep" and "insignificant glowing," and redirects its rampage towards that point. Of course, because the insignificant glowing is not actually a Mareep, all it ends up doing is slightly scuffing the ceramic and, more importantly, beating the snot out of its appendage. Aeris giggles a little at the sight of this as she makes her tail bulb glow once more, and fires another Signal Beam. Sadly, the substitute has beaten her to the punch: it is already squeezed between the Reflect wall and Spazz, ready to soak up the lasers as needed.

What happened to my +2 Attack? D:

Astonish spam time! Because flinching is fun.

Actually, since it gets boring after a while, swish it up with a Shadow Ball. Chillax if the sheepy Protects or Detects or whatever.

aeris why aren't you dead yet aeris >:c

Start with another Signal Beam, then Mimic his Shadow Ball on the second action and use it against him on the third. If Spazz's attack doesn't get in before yours, wait for it.

Woops. Another fail on my part. Saw this in the e-ref thread and didn't make the connection that the post about needing an e-ref was about Lil' Dwagie. No idea if I should delete this, considering it's well over DQ time, but there's no post asking for a new e-ref. Don't mean any disrespect Walker. Advice on what to do would be appreciated.

"Hello. I'm Skylark, your new ref." Both trainers are already used to the sudden appearance of referees by this point, so they simply nod in the referee's general direction. The referee starts waving his flags, but he does so with a bit too much overenthusiasm, accidentally smacking himself in the face. "Right then. Let the battle continue."

Spazz, not wasting a moment, disappears into the tea as soon as the referee gives the go signal. Aeris on the other hand, starts getting ready for the multi-colored beam she's going to fire off. Aeris' tail starts glowing and emitting blue and red lights alternately. Raising her tail as she prepares to fire, she gets shocked out of her wits. Spazz, having silently and stealthily traveled undertea, suddenly pops up in front of Aeris. This sudden appearance is apparently enough to make Aeris cower in fear. Whimpering, she completely fogets about the signal beam she was about to release. It takes her a while to regain her composure, allowing Spazz enough time for a snicker or two.

Spazz wastes no time to perform its next command, but doesn't do a very good job. Because of Spazz's ghostly energy, its shadow starts swirling around and shaping into a sphere. Spazz tries to send the shadowy ball toward its opponent, but it loses its composure. Because of this, the shadow ball wasn't flung in Aeris' direction. Instead, Spazz loses its grip on the sphere and makes it explode in its face. The mareep, recovering from its initial shock and enjoying the spectacle of a shadow ball exploding in its opponent's face, decided to forms a shadowy ball of her own, albeit with some difficulty. Barely being able to control it, she flings it toward the rotom. She slightly grins as the sphere explodes upon impact, but the grin turns into a scowl as she sees the fluffy substitute take the brunt of the explosion.

Spazz becomes miffed at the double shadow ball. Not only did its own shadow ball backfire on him; its opponent had to add insult to injury by using the same move. Spazz decided it would put on his scariest face ever. Scare tactics. Yeah. Shadows start swirling in a vortex and quickly engulf the mareep. The mareep, trapped by the shadows and unable to see anything besides the shadows, starts to be frightened. The shadows don't actually harm Aeris, but the cold aura they emit don't make her feel any better. Without a moment's notice, Spazz, cackling madly, appears in front of the sheep, and the vortex fades away as quickly as it started. Aeris backs away, startles by Spazz, and accidentally hits he edge of the teacup with a bit of force. Recalling the move she mimicked earlier, she once again, with a little difficulty, sends a ball of shadows towards Spazz. Another explosion, another block by the substitute, and another scowl. Same old, same old. The substitute is quickly deteriorating. It won't be able to take on any more after one more hit. The golden barrier protecting Aeris slowly drifts away into nothing.

Derp this battle already got taken by an e-ref but Walker hasn't reffed it in ages anyway and I'd rather it not take another year to finish so I say we run with this :v

Yeah sure, why not. :D Mike you tea-ruiner, you're going down.

Spazz is a bit excited about finishing the battle. Its opponent is looking a bit winded, so why not finish the battle already? Focusing all thoughts of malice and spite, Spazz sends a curse towards Aeris. Negative energy floating in waves over Aeris, she shudders as her opponent somehow effectively seals her mimicked shadow ball.

The fatigue starting to take over, Aeris is resigned to getting the battle over with. She is simply too tired to do much, and her pokeball is looking very cozy right now. She performs one last move, her final stand, and sends a ghostly ball of energy towards the few remains of what used to be her opponent's substitute. The shadow ball simply decimates the substitute, the wool floating in different directions and unable to offer any more protection. Aeris is not able to take it anymore. She stays conscious just long enough for her to see the substitute get destroyed but faints immediately afterward.

Spazz simply smiles at his opponent and is happy to have the battle finally end. It feels pretty good but can't help thinking that it'll feel even better after taking a long rest inside its pokeball. Both pokemon are recalled, and the trainers shake hands. It was a long but fun battle.

Actually I believe only the original referee and the one who ends the battle get a cut of the reffing money.

Anyway, glad that's finally over :3 Good match Linooney, and thanks for reffing it, everyone.

Yup yup. Good battle!

I would offer you all some tea, but it's kind of salty right now.

Actually, I believe it's Death Cannon, not Death Canon. Since those two are completely different Porygons...
