Mike vs. Flora

Yus~ ...But now I'm done, all yours Dwaggun~ (Though you may only have a round or two left xD; )

- It was still fun smacking him...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So round 11 is off with a pair of fluttery Gen1 favourites~ Mike feels his manliness may be somewhat in question having received the butterfly end of the stick, but he can right out deal w/ it. :3
Lutra is keen to Hibana's tricks at this point, and he's pretty tired of it to boot, finally a transformation that can do something about it~ He begins beating his wings, shaking off a powdery dust that clouds all around him. It begins to glow lightly as it softly hovers around, and as he returns to normal flight appears to be veiled in mystic glowiness.
Hibana isn't liking the looks of this, as he proceeds to shakes out his massive petals of a yellow, paralytic dust, which gathers around him in a similar fashion. With a flutter of his petals and a light gust, he blows them right at Lutra.. but, to no effect, the veil of shielding butterfly dust simply absorbs and repels the noxious spores - leaving them to harmlessly fall to the ground and degrade into the dust. Lutra looks smug, and Hibana is rightfully steamed.
<Lutra ~ -4E>
<Hibana ~ -3E>
Of course, Mike isn't one to be so lucky, Hibana isn't about to spam Stun Spore on something that's immune! That's just stupid. Lutra looks disappointedly towards him as the centre of the massive headflower starts to bubble and gurgle with a noxious acid. Well that doesn't look all that pleasant.. So he beats him to the punch, focusing his inner energies he looks into Hibana's very mind and body; before assaulting it with MIND BULLETS psychic energy; causing mental breakdowns, redirecting poisons into vulnerable plant portions of Hibana's body, and all sorts of nasty things. Hibana squeals as the mental energy bombards him, tipping about and splashing Acid all around, which sizzles as it hits the floor. With a stumble forward, he manages to splash Lutra still, however - who proceeds to flip out and flutter around to shake the burning liquid off.
<Lutra ~ -8HP / -6E>
<Hibana ~ -11HP / -2E>
Now it would appear both competitors are rightfully steamed, and they're about ready to take out all their aggression.. in the same exact ways. Hibana is mindraep'd, whom responds by splashing Lutra with burning acid. The difference is, both seem rather flustered, and their strikes come off as clumsy, it seems the wear of battle may be taking it's toll, unless of course those rumours of the universe and everything being decided by rolls of virtual dice.. in which case, luck is just a bitch. But that's silly.
<Lutra ~ -7HP / -6HP>
<Hibana ~ -10HP / -2E>
And so, as both competitors take to glowing once again, the dust in the arena begins to whip up violently.. swirling and whipping at Lutra, who has taken a slightly more modest form, not to mention the trainers and the ref, who.... has disappeared. Maybe a Kecleon? Either that or has been dragged off for- *Recording lost*
Ref Notes:
- There really isn't much to say, most rolls rolled in a mid-to midhigh range, except the last round with 12 and 22 respectively, which dealt a slight amount less.
- Mike attacks first
- ...It seems, Dwaggun refs. Have fun kids~
Well, best not rob the next guy out of valuable exp that you don't need, so just wear the thing down. Start with a Rain Dance to ruin its sandstorm, then hit it with a Confuse Ray and finish with Toxic. If he does something to mess up these attacks instead of just killing you, just push them up an action.
Arena: Abandoned Stone Factory
This arena is situated in the dilapidated warehouse of a factory employed at one time to make evolution stones. It was evacuated about 20 years ago- possibly after some sort of accident, nobody knows. All they do know is there's radiation from the stones they worked with everywhere and the place is in terrible shape. After a lot of inspection and research by guys with Geiger counters and space suits, the radiation was declared harmless to humans and Pokémon. People who insist on entering for whatever strange reason are now allowed to do so. However, the radiation, though harmless, has some... interesting effects on Pokémon. Due to its intensity it can randomly mutate Pokémon into an entirely different species. At the end of each round, both Pokémon will evolve at random into anything from Magikarp to Tyranitar- anything as long as it belongs to an evolutionary family. (Abilities, signature moves/attributes, status effects and stat increases/decreases remain after evolution, except where burned Pokémon evolve into Fire types or poisoned Pokémon evolve into Poison or Steel types.) There are also samples of the factory's erstwhile stock lying under the rubble, meaning that Pokémon have a 1% chance of discovering a random evolution stone each action (5% for Pokémon with Pickup). The dilapidated nature of the arena also means that vigorous attacks that upset the ground or structure will cause bricks to crumble away, and there is a 30% chance that the falling rocks will hit a battling Pokémon, dealing 5% Rock damage.
Other: No water, so fish Pokémon are not recommended; however there are many large chunks of brick gouged out of the floor that could be filled up.
Earthquake x3
- Grunt, Rawr... ugh
*
The sandstorm clears momentarily as the *dead* referee appears again to take her battle back, eyeing the new battlers with a cynical eye. Well, hopefully the Trainers enjoyed the good referee while she lasted, since now the crappy one's back~! The sandstorm swirls around everyone on the field as Mike and Flora choke commands through the sand, trying not to inhale. Damn sandstorms.
Lutra squints up at the ceiling, wondering if he could actually bring a rainstorm into the building. There still was a roof above them, right? Shaking his head, he decides to just go for it and raises his stubby arms to the sky. A tiny spark, almost invisible in the raging sandstorm, flies from his paws to the sky, and absolutely nothing happens. Lutra realizes how stupid he must look holding his arms up like that, and right as he drops them in defeat, the rain begins to fall. He yelps his happiness to the sky, Hibana looking a lot less pleased. Water was bad for his current state.
Shaking the sand that had turned to mud from his sides, the Pachirisu-Hippowdon reared up on her hind legs and came crashing down on all fours, sending a ripple in the ground racing towards Lutra. The force of the earthquake tossed him a good two feet into the air and sent him flying towards a useless looking machine-type thing, a solid thud ringing through the factory. Ouch. Wearily, he slumps onto his side and closes his eyes, and it seems Lutra is out for the count.
The referee watches as Lutra and Hibana both begin to glow a familiar bright white, the Ampharos becoming a Buizel, and Hibana, an Anorith. Lutra looks incredibly unconcerned as he is sucked back into his Pokemon, while not too far away, Hibana seems to be working herself into a huge fit. Anorith? Really?
Ohgoddammit not again. Mike and Flora are forced to wait a little while as the referee disappears into the rubble with her laptop, and only remembers the match taking place about a week later. Sorry 'bout that. Mike takes a split second to decide on his final Pokemon, and tosses a Pokeball to the rather wet arena. It pops open in a burst of red light and Aeris the Mareep forms, giving the Anorith in front of her an odd look. The Trainers give their simple commands and the referee waves her flags, eager to possibly finish this match.
Hibana races forwards on his odd feather-legs. Grabbing up one of the many fair sized chunks of rock around him in his pincers, he throws it with oddly great force at Aeris, not stopping to watch the hit and grabbing another. With an odd warble, he tosses the next rock, and another, before the lack of rocks stops him from throwing any more. Dammit.
Aeris bleats her discomfort at being attacked almost seconds into the match. And being wet. Was that mud in her coat? Narrowing her eyes, she bleats a long note to the raining sky, and a rumble of thunder answers her. Hibana looks up in surprise, as the humans blink and a bolt of lightning drops from the sky. A few bricks fall from the ceiling and miss Mike's head by the smallest fraction of a millimetre as Hibana is thrown into the air and slammed into the same useless machine Lutra had been thrown up against previously. Ouch.
Just barely hanging on to consciousness, Hibana gets back up and glares at his smug opponent. Well. He would probably get struck by another huge bolt of lightning from the sky soon anyways, so he had better make this count. Gathering up more boulders, Hibana rushes forwards and warbles a war cry, tossing rock after rock at Aeris. She screeches as a particularly nasty blow gashes her in the head and knocks her down, kicking madly as her softer underbelly is pelted with more rocks. Hibana warbles what might be a laugh, though it's kind of hard to tell.
Angrily, Aeris gets to her uh, paws and repeats her thunder call, again answered by the rumble of thunder. Hibana mutters something and the humans blink again, missing the bolt of lightning that sends him flying. The force of the lightning makes the Anorith let out a kind of sigh, before collapsing onto his odd limbs and closing his stalk eyes. The humans and Mareep watch in mild interest as the familiar white glow comes over Hibana, returning him to his normal Pachirisu form.
The referee announces Mike's win hurriedly, announcing the gained experience and handing out prize money quickly. With a final look at the factory, the referee and Trainers leave before their chance of getting cancer grows even more, chattering on the way out.
SO EXP AND MONEY LET'S SEE
Mike gets $24, Flora gets $9, and Dwagie can have my portion of the money too and gets $15 it's not like I'll remember to claim it anyways.
Freya, Scythe, Hibana, Aeris and Lutra get 2 EXP, Kumai gets 1. I think. If there's any problems feel free to say so, but yeah. Nice match for the like, five rounds I reffed >_>
Not sure where you're getting 3EXP from, since Freya, Scythe, Hibana and Lutra only scored one KO each and should have two o.o
Anyway, nice match Flora, and thanks for reffing it Dwaggleton and Dwagie~ *scurries off to the bank*
Oh well, still was an interesting match.
*hopes Mike forgot about that bet we had*
