Avatar not working properly in visitor messages

Cat, are you drilling?
As you can see, my avatar is transparent in places and animated. When I post visitor messages, it isn't.
...and that's about it. This only seems to be affecting me, for some bizarre reason. And I've used this one in the past without this happening. It happened a short while ago with a transparent avatar I had but I ignored it because it looked less crap.

Whenever you post VMs or your avatar is shrunken down to a 60x60 image, it saves the file and condenses it - like if you save an avatar that's over the limit, it shows up 120x120, but unanimated and with a white background. It's like that in VMs too.


Correct me if I'm wrong.
 
i checked the image files, and mine actually seems to be larger than his. not sure what's going on o.o
