Okapi Kingdom
It must have been a horde of crazy okapis
Dancing in celebration of the nocturnal rites.
I saw the circle twinkles in the triangle cover.
They whispered between themselves about forms and shapes and geometry,
I think we all had the same idea,
When you see a mountain, you must build it inside the earth for it to grow like flowers on dried out soil.
Oui, I would like a cup of coffee to go with the construction.
And maybe a croissant, just to get started.
Yes, I'm a hungry crocodile and I've got a lizard army to stack high the fungi,
But we need feeding!
Fuck you think? Said the sun to the earth
Can't grow mountains on that soil, it's like we only wanted green hills
I'll send the doctor over.
He doesn't want our sanity but he does want a house to stay,
(and a pulse of red flashed through the universe like a LED lamp on a radio).
Swirling masses of nebulae turning into the Grand Okapi Kingdom,
Mushrooms growing and Luigi's jumping on a trampoline.
The mountain in the background becomes a giant Everest,
But we don't tap its spring water because it's polluted with the essence of yuckiness!
Walking through the Amazon's carbon copy rainforest,
Our footprint exceeding that of the Moon:
We smile with giant cacophony, and hope it catches on on the seventh-dimensional plane of tentacled squids.
And the mountain stands tall.
The okapis swarm, dead zombies on a mass of white snow, green grass, and bare rock.
The crocodiles swim in its salty seas under the caverns of marble...
And I? I witness the painting of a future no one knows
and a past no one recalls
and a present no one wants to remember.
For fuck's sake, get me a life!
One that I can cherish when tomorrow's okapis die.
