• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Poképoems!

Poképoems!

Pikapower, like a flower,
All so very true!
Dewgong, Bellsprout
Not in a wellsprout!

Eevee, Cutie,
What a little sweetie!
Pachi-Pachirisu,
Nutty little kooky!

Mewtwo, Mew,
Nowhere near new!
Arceus, however,
Is new but here forever!

I'll add more verses soon! I'm open to help and suggestions!

Re: Poképoems!

I think you should do a Pokémon per verse, instead of two or three. For example:

Eevee, Cutie,
What a little sweetie,
jumping up and jumping down,
chasing it's tail round and round.
(Round is a half rhyme instead of a proper rhyme)

Or you could do a whole poem on one Pokémon!

And you could change the words to a song already made, like in my sig!

Re: Poképoems!

Well, next verse!

Empoleon, he arrived,
He said Piplup never died,
He was real mean,
His horns still had a gleam!

Smeargle painted Pikachu,
While Togepi played "Pikaboo"
They were so happy,
With Glameow who's catty!

Re: Poképoems!

XD You have sense of humor in your poetry. I like them. Though some alliteration would make them a bit more interesting to read. ;)

Super Hyper Sugar!

I do believe that's what I called my Pachirisu Candy Bar back at the old forums. I doubt it's just a coincidence...

Anyway, it seems... okay so far. Take the suggestions of the others and it should be even better.

Casty, it was the only thing that fits.

Piplup, oh yeah,
Magikarp went "Bleah!"
Milotic, really,
Really shouted "Skleedy!"

Re: Poképoems!

...These are clarihews, right? I wrote them for a class boem book last year. Some of them were funny and some were not. Anyway, your poems are good. Three-and-a-half stars ;)

Re: Poképoems!

My next verses:

Stantler appeared,
Never ever feared,
Chansey laid an egg,
So Stantler called its new baby, Greg.

Blissey came,
Anorith came,
They dueled,
But Blissey rules!

Re: Poképoems!

With a little puffy cloud,
Drifloon should be proud.
It's a lil' balloon.
I see it and I swoon!

Re: Poképoems!

Okay, Proto_Fan.

Then Ash and Pikachu,
who were playing "Pikaboo"
Got a zap from a Pichu,
But people say to Raichu,
"COOOOOO!"

All the parts from above were one poem, so I'm starting another one. Everyomne can make verses!~~

Re: Poképoems!

You still had boo twice. IT makes no difference if one is longer than the other. And having Raichu at the end of two lines doesn't sound very good either.

Re: Poképoems!

Changed it!
The 2nd poem, begin!
Theme-Eevee

Eevee, Eevee,
You're so cute!
She'll redeem
Cascoon being mute!

Re: Poképoems!

Where the hell is your meter? You can't just try to rhyme and have six syllables in one line and thirteen in the next. D:

Re: Poképoems!

I'd really rather just say what I feel about these... things, but you've randomly switched from second to third person (you're ... she'll) and none of these make any kind of sense. How does something being cute 'redeem' something completely unrelated being mute (I'm so calling the PC police on you for implying that people who can't speak need redemption).

I think that your poems are a little too random. You give up sense to make them rhyme. Try to make the rhymes make more sense.

Re: Poképoems!

Okay, I will. Don't forget, we can all make poems!
Here's a what-do-I-call-it-again? poem:
Pippy the Piplup, called Rex by few,
In his dreams, he saw a Mew!
Pippy then tried to get closer,
Losing while spinning a motor!
Understatments went to him,
Perfectly, his wife is called Kim!
By the way, Kim's a Female Squirtle.
