Note that Toxic + Mud Bomb = Sludge Bomb, so it makes sense to have that.

Sludge in place of Sludge Bomb is kind of... eh.
 
They're probably trying to have it make use of Bellsprout's Sunny Day-ness and Snorunt's Hail.

Still doesn't make a lot of sense though.

Hammer Arm Whismur: Exploud has arms. They could be used as hammers. Since they couldn't give it to Exploud, they gave it to Whismur.
 
As much as many of these don't make sense, I really don't have much of a complaint because pretty much all of the new egg moves are awesome on the Pokemon that they're on. (Dragon Dance Barboach and Corphish is pretty amazing; it really eliminates their speed issues)

I never really liked GSC (sue me), so I'll probably just buy this for collection and force myself to play through it. I rather dislike most of the new features (bottom screen menu lolwut) except the awesomeness of having your lead follow you around.
