A giant pad of paper made for transferring imagination into reality, everyone probably knows what one of these is. Except this one is big. Humongous, even. Yet for all intents and purposes it's flat, slightly textured surface provide an incredibly neutral field for battle. However, the paper seems highly resistant to normal damage, and as such the likes of fire, water, or any other damaging elements will not immediately disintegrate it's being as they may normal paper.

The ref plays an extra role in this battle, however.. upon accepting they are granted a magic pen, capable of bringing life to what is drawn onto the paper. As such, the ref gets to decide the arena effects each round, for better or for worse. (Try to remain unbiased though!! Most effects should probably affect both contenders unless you want to get creative with balance)
The catch is, they actually have to DRAW it - obviously. So with a little creativity (NOT asking for artistic genius here, Paint and scribbles will work, though effort would be appreciated~ ) this battle can flow as their fingers decide.
EVERY ROUND THE REF SHOULD DRAW THEIR CURRENT PERCEPTION OF THE BATTLE ON A 750x450 PIXEL TEMPLATE, AS WELL AS ADDING THE EFFECTS THEY WISH. For instance, the ref may draw a pond and colour the rest of the sheet green, to bring the battle to a grassy field with a small pond.
The ref may draw on the ENTIRE ARENA as they wish.

ADDITIONALLY, every three rounds STARTING AT ROUND TWO (Meaning the first round is played by contenders normally, then this will come into play, then two more will be played normally, and it will come into play again) both contenders will receive a disposable pen of their own, which will have enough ink for ONE EFFECT. By using a turn labelled as "Sketch", a Pokemon may sketch a desired effect using this pen, either immediately, or holding onto the pen for a later round. (Only two may be held at one time)
When a pen is used, the contender uses the same 750x450 pixel sheet to illustrate their desired effect, BUT THEY MAY NOT DESCRIBE IT WITH WORDS. Instead, the ref judges from their drawing alone and applies the effect as such!
When a contender produces their own effect, the ref will copy their drawing and ADD to it, but not OVERRIDE it. If both players use their pens at the same time, the player whose turn is first gets first dibs, the second player may ADD but not OVERRIDE it, and the ref takes last priority. A player's effect may only affect a maximum of HALF THE ARENA.
(FOR EXAMPLE: If Player 1 draws a field of Fire on the left side of the field, player two may draw the right side of the field with water, but NOT cover the existing fire. The ref is then within their liberty to add, for example, a platform on either side - but not remove or edit player effects drastically.)
Finally, at the end of every round the pad is wiped clean to begin anew. Meaning at the beginning of every round, it will have returned to a clean, neutral field until edited again.

Hooray! *Glomps Moony* This ish gonna be fuuuun~

My pick shall be none other than Koray, the Tsuki~ Nya~

Okies Kor, let's open with a confussle ray and throw that pup off kilter. Then, let's calm down with a Calm Mind and get ready for this craziness. Finally, why don't we cool him off while he chases his tail.. Icy Wind will slow him down a tad. Speed is of the essence~

If the little blighter tries to pull a fast one with a quick Detect or Protect and offset our confusion, though, we're changing our plans. Set up a Reflect instead. Then, after he's used up his free turn, Swagger him, he won't know WHAT'S going on. And, still end with that Icy Wind.

AND of course, if he tries to dodge the wind, just Calm Mind~ Yeah, that's solid~

Ohohoho.

Let's open with a Yawn, Zarin! The follow up with a Calm Mind, which should hopefully throw off that confusion, at least a little. Finish the round with a Dark Pulse, but if you feel too confused still, Calm Mind.

.:Pre-battle:.

Three figures stand on a empty page, looking around to see if there was anything more. The two trainers look to one another and blow kisses to one another and being lovey-dovey as per norm for them. The Ref rolls her eyes and pulls out three pencils from her bag. She tosses one to each trainer, then twirls the one in her fingers with a grin. The trainers eye her carefully, then send out their pokemon for the battle at hand.

Cheery choose a small fluffy fox by the name of Zarin, while Bluberry choose a cat blob floating on a moon. Interesting choices as they were, the Ref snickered and tapped her pencil in her hand. After asking if they were done with their attack orders, the Ref then waved the pencil like a wand and transformed the arena for the first round.

~Round one~

After the sudden shift of the arena, Zarin settles himself and tried to forget the fact he was now on a floating plank of wood in the middle of the ocean. He sits and licks at the salt on his paw, glancing over at Koray and studying him silently. Zarin then lifts his head and gives Koray a bored look, then tilts his head back and let out a loud long yawn to try and convince the cat he was not bothered by the setting of their battle. Koray blinks at the strange fox, then lets out a tiny yawn as well. Confused as to why he is feeling so tired, he tries to shake it off by going through with his first action. He steers his moon in the air, ‘dancing’ around Zarin and giggling as he goes. Zarin watches curiously. Wondering what the strange space cat is doing, he watches her float around in silence. Unfortunately for Zarin, he should have looked away from Koray before he released a array of dancing lights upon Zarin. Trapped by the beauty of the lights, Zarin starts to giggle madly and watch them dance around his head. Koray giggles, then yawns again, his eyes growing heavy. After some thought, he decided a little cap nap wouldn’t hurt since the fox was busy chasing lights.

Fast asleep on his little moon, Koray blocks out the rest of the world and enters a peaceful dream about space fish and milkyway milk. Zarin down below however finds himself laying on the floating platform and trying to not hurl. From chasing the pretty lights and being on a wooden deck that rocks with the waves, he his found himself suffering a little sea sickness. Closing his eyes, he focuses on remaining calm and strengthen his mental fortitude. Growling a bit, he could just hear his mother telling him he should always remain zen in all situations, to never let ones self fall victim to their surroundings. Taking in a few deep breathes, he starts to feel better. The dull throb in his head was also starting to lessen as well, though he can’t remember when that had started due to the fact he was chasing pretty lights. Koray on the other hand shivers a bit as a sudden ocean wind chills him. He lets out a small ‘achoo’ and wakes himself up. Pouting a little from being woken up so soon, he looks around and sees Zarin laying on the ground pawing at the air.

Koray takes this chance for his final attack of the round, drawing on the natural elements around him and dropping the temperature around him in preparation. Floating off of Zarin’s radar, the mischievous space cat spins in the air, releasing the freezing elements his gathered in the form of a chilling wind to wash over the back of the confused fox. Letting out a high pitched yelp, Zarin jumps up into the air and spun around to face Koray, a shocked look on his face. Shaking his head, he tries his best to see past the floating lights to lock onto Koray. Letting out a soft ‘grr’, he starts to collect the dark thoughts in his mind to prepare for his final attack. Snickering under his breath, he decides to try to make his attack look as cool as possible. Once he feels his gathered all he needs, Zarin leaps into the air to release his pulse in the coolest way he could think of…sadly, went he leap, he hit his head on the bottom of Koray’s and screwed up his move beyond recognition. Landing back on the group with a ‘plop’, Zarin lets out a soft cry and pouts over having his super cool idea ruined by a floating space cat.

(where's Zarin's Sp. Def boost?

Anyway, start off with another Calm Mind, then hit away with two Dark Pulse; hopefully the Calm Mind will take care of the confusion enough. If you can't hit him for any reason (protect, detect, what have you) Calm Mind again.
