Raging Whirlpools

Welcome to the Raging Whirlpools, a series of four whirlpools home to various Water Pokémon. Just recently has this Pokémon habitat been approved as an Official Safari Zone area. We hope you enjoy your stay. The entrance fee is $3, which allows you took explore one whirlpool of your choice. All visitors are required to have a Water Pokémon accompany him/her as he/she explores the vast whirlpools. If you do not own a Water Pokémon, you may rent one for the length of your exploration for $1. These Pokémon are available for rent:


If you're all set to enter the whirlpools, please choose one of the whirlpools below. Keep in mind that there are some areas that are inaccessible by normal means. You'll find out what to do when you get to such an area. Your game is over once you catch a Pokémon or recieve an item. All withdrawals and deposits in the Bank are done every fourth person.

North Whirlpool
The smallest of the whirlpools, the North Whirlpool is a calm whirlpool home to many Water Pokémon. Items are scattered around the sea floor underneath this whirlpool. Diameter: 6m.

South Whirlpool
The second largest whirlpool, the South Whirlpool is also a calm whirlpool home to water-dwelling Ice types. There are very few items located in this whirlpool. Diameter: 11m.

East Whirlpool
The largest and most violent whirlpool, the East Whirlpool's inhabitants are rather unknown, since its stormy waters force many people back. Diameter: 15m.

West Whirlpool
The second smallest of the whirlpools, the West Whirlpool is a calm whirlpool home to many Water Pokémon. Its twin is the North Whirlpool. Items are scattered around the sea floor underneath this whirlpool. Diameter: 6m.

Full Metal Cookies
You and Jet jump into the water and swim towards the South Whirlpool. Suddenly, a current sucks you in and down the whirlpool you go. You begin to look around, trying to find a Pokémon. Eventually, a male Magikarp swims by. Catch it or keep looking?

Psymon
You and Huntail jump into the water and swim towards the East Whirlpool. As the whirlpool spins violent, you take a deep breath and go underwater. Looking at the water spinning under the surface, Huntail bolts for the whirlpool and soon disappears. You follow and the whirlpool sucks you in! After a while you get the hang of swimming in a whirlpool. You see a Blue Shard floating. Grab it or keep looking?

Walker
You and Wake jump into the water and swim quickly towards the East Whirlpool. Wake motions for you to put your arms around her waist, and you do so. Wake then pulls you down the spinning water vortex. Wake continues to pull you down until you are close to the sea floor. You see a Shoal Shell in the sand. Grab it or keep looking?

You and Devvy jump into the water and swim towards the East Whirlpool. Devvy, looking at the speed of the whirlpool, shudders a bit and then suddenly relaxes. Before you go under, you see a Red Scarf spinning around in the whirlpool. Someone must have lost it, but finders keepers right? Grab it or keep looking?

I'll keep looking.

You decide to leave the Red Scarf spinning around and with a nod at Devvy, both of you go underwater. After spinning around for a few seconds, you get used to the environment and continue to swim. After swimming for a couple of minutes, you notice a female Barboach swim by. Pokéball in hand, you are ready to catch the Barboach. Throw Pokéball or keep looking?

You throw your Pokéball at the wild Barboach. The Barboach pauses and stares at the incoming object, wondering what it is. The Pokéball opens up and in the Barboach goes! The Pokéball shakes for a few seconds, and then glows. Congratulations, you caught a female Barboach! YOu grab the Pokéball and swim to the surface.

I'll keep going. Shoal Shell isn't doing me much good yet.

Walker
You decide to leave the Shoal Shell in its place. Wake motions for you to follow, and both of you swim for a few minutes until you reach a cave blocked off by a steel door. On the left side of the door, there seems to be a slot to insert bills in. A label over it says $1. Thinking there might be something rare inside, you take out one dollar. Put it in or keep going?

blerg magikarp. keep going.

Full Metal Cookies
You leave the Magikarp alone. It tries to swim away, but struggles. Suddenly, while watching the Magikarp, you get caught in a current, pulling you away. Jet, used to the current, glides near you cheerfully. Eventually, the current leads to to a calm patch of water just centimeters away from the edge of the whirlpool. Swimming near you is a female Luvdisc. Catch it or keep looking?
