Ravage soaked up the cool rain falling around him. This was his element. Now, he would call upon the energy which was second nature to most pokemon belonging to the water type. Ravage opened his mouth to reveal a set of terrifying, fierce, and sharp... gums. The turtle pokemon had little teeth to speak of. A tiny blue orb started forming in his mouth. A steady stream of water passed from Ravage's throat, through the orb of energy and out of his mouth. The blue orb didn't seem to do anything, but for some reason, the rain drops which fell on the stream of water turned into minute ice crystals. Apparently, the blue orb supercooled the liquid coming from Ravage's mouth. The beam hit Sandom's mouth, and a bit of frost formed above his jaws. However, the ice didn't seem to bother the antlion.

Sandom felt quite bruised at this point and could only take comfort in the healing effects of his attack. A green whip, infused with grass type energy, shot out of Sandom's jaws and wrapped around Ravage's shell. After a few seconds, the whip glowed brighter and sparkled as Ravage was released and as the beam of energy returned to Sandom.

Ravage responded to his opponent's attack by opening his mouth once again. A translucent ball of freezing temperatures instantly formed between his jaws. From this orb came out tiny trails of energy which snaked their way towards Sandom, freezing any rain they came into contact with in the process.

Sandom was severely chilled by the frosty beams of energy that hit him. It was a curious sensation. The beams hurt, as if they were burning his exoskeleton. However, they also seemed to numb his senses. Tiny green orbs of energy started appearing around Sandom, and green energy sparkled in the rain as it was transferred from Ravage's body into the little orbs. The energy balls then entered Sandom's body.

At that moment, the rain started dying down. Ravage wasn't going to have any of that, however. The Squirtle started waving his arms around, and from nowhere, strong chilly winds started picking up. Suddenly, snow was carried by the wind and blown directly into Sandom's body. The relentless, freezing gales seemed to focus on the Trapinch. Ice formed around the area near the Trapinch, but Sandom was in no way immobilized.

Once again, a green ribbon of energy appeared from Sandom's mouth. Ravage already knew what was going to happen at this point and attempted to brace himself. However, he still shuddered as his energy was drained by the whip which repeatedly lashed out at his skin. He felt weaker while Sandom appeared to be slightly more lively at that point.

Alright. First off, hit him with Hydro Pump, and then use Brine, but if he digs down, use Rain Dance! Then, if he's above ground, use Scald, but if he's underground, just Chill in the cool rain.

Seeing his opponent's multiple bruises, Ravage knew it was now or never. He decided to pull out all the stops and used his most powerful attack. In a split second, Ravage retreated into his shell. As the shell started spinning rapidly, powerful jets of water started coming out of the holes, dousing both the field and Sandom.

Sandom cringed as he was pushed backwards by the extreme force of the attack. His body was very battered and covered in bruises. With great difficulty, Sandom got on his hind legs and slammed his front legs down with a powerful thud. The tremors originating from Sandom crossed the field, shaking the whole arena in the process. Fortunately for Ravage, his defenses had been fortified previously. The Squirtle, which was still hiding inside his shell, was thrown into the air many times by the shock waves caused by Sandom's attack.

After waiting for the tremors to die down, Ravage cautiously poked his head out of his shell, assessing the damage caused by his opponent. Seeing the many gashes on his opponent's carapace, Ravage exited his shell for one final attack. Ravage prepared to shoot another stream of water from his mouth. However, this time, he made sure the fluid would be saturated with his body salts. After a few moments of collecting the fluid, Ravage opened his mouth and released a powerful jet of water which doused Sandom's entire body.

Sandom's legs buckled under the pressure from the water. The Trapinch cried out as the pain caused by his wounds was aggravated by the salty water. After Ravage finished attacking, Sandom attempted to get on his feet to continue the battle. However, despite his willpower, he could not manage to do so. Suddenly, his body went limp, and he fell to the ground unconscious.

Sokka217 realized he had won and grinning, punched the air with his fist while jaketiger1116 recalled the fallen Pokemon. Both trainers shook hands before the referee handed each of them some money. This was followed by all three of them beating a hasty retreat using league-owned Gardevoir, realizing the school's officials wouldn't be too pleased with them having severely damaged the football field.
