Open Wellspring Village

Coloursfall

THIS IS HOW WE BLEED
It was a nice day.

The sun had come up only a scant hour ago, and there was still dew fresh on the leaves of Yuuka's garden and the grass around the houses. Yuuka had been up for 45 minutes already, and was sitting in her front window with a cup of tea cradled in her lap. She had a green bathrobe pulled around her rather small body, and a pillow under her, to make the windowsill more comfortable.

She toyed with the thought of going out to tend to her garden, the early spring air was so nice and cool and refreshing. Perhaps she would talk to someone new today. She felt like today was a day one would be able to give many thanks for, a day of new beginnings.

She glanced at the clock. It was about 7:30, and her papa wasn't awake yet. Sleepyhead. He was always up so late...

---

Ishvara was outside already. He was dressed in his white track suit, and was leaning on a lamppost outside the local coffee shop that Ming liked her hot chocolate to be bought from every mourning, bless her little soul. He shut his eyes, taking in the sound of the waves crashing on the beach not too far from where he stood now, and smiled. Such a nice place. He quite enjoyed waiting in the cool air for the half-hour between when he finished his jog and the coffee shop opened, it gave him a chance to think.

He felt a slight nagging thought bubble up in the back of his head, a strange feeling that...something was going to happen. His smile widened. He loved it when things were going to happen. It was rare for him not to be in control of a situation, so he quite enjoyed the times when he wasn't.

The Alpha Pokemon in disguise opened his eyes and scanned the cobblestone streets around him.

Savannah gazed around at the house, glad it was large. She liked a lot of space, but at the same time, she didn't like it when her house was too big. So this one was perfect. Smiling, she considered going outside, but decided to stay in hiding after a while. It was fun living alone at 13, and she would try to make the most of it...

By going outside. Oh, yeah. Remembering that she should probably get to know some people, she wandered into the empty street that ended right next to her house -- the very reason she had chosen it. She liked being isolated.

Seven thirty...? Not the time she wanted to be getting up.

In the house on the left, closest to town, a pair of. eyes opened. The Darkrai moaned. She usually woke up much later than this.

"Damn. I wish Lucine weren't out on vacation..." she yawned, scratching her head. She rather liked this human form. She didn't know if she could still use her attacks (she never bothered trying), but she could also get a lot more done because she looked like a human.

A thexy human. She smiled to herself. Zora liked being alone sometimes. It was quiet and she didn't have to bother with anyone else. But then, Lucine would be back in a few days, and it was a little boring without her...

Dakota always liked to wake up at 7:00 sharp. She preferred to observe this town early so she didn't miss anything important; there were usually less people out early, too, so it was easier for her to feel solitary and not endangered. She often got nervous around skulking people, because her other self was used to being chased around all the time. She liked this human form better, personally; it was definitely different than the other one, but not necessarily in a bad way. She was able to interact with humans without having a Poke Ball slap her arm all the time.

She had only just left her house, though; she was careful to close the door slowly and lock it while she was out. The lawn was plain but trimmed, and a bright green, as usual. No one had romped in it while she was asleep. That was good, because it meant she didn't have to work on healing the grass.

The only bad part about humans was their arrogance. The urban sprawl in other areas was swift and poorly-planned, as if they thought they had the entire world to themselves. This frustrated Dakota; she was supposed to embody the wind, and now its space in which to blow was dwindling. She felt like she was being cramped into a box along with it. That's why she liked this town: it was more of a mixed-use development style, stuffing several different types of housing and businesses in one place.

Her house was small, but not unusually small. She didn't like having excess space in her house; if there was an inch she could save off the walls, she would. And that's why she chose this house, apart from its being closer to the water from the other houses. The water was important to her other form, so she needed to be close to it even as a human.

Jerik pulled himself out of bed, saw the time, and noted his oversleeping. Usually, he would be up at 6:30 to complete his routine 'walks' around the place. Usually, he was the only one up at such a time, and therefore, could be unseen as he observed the town, noting anything that may help him in the future.

He thought about how narrow and unkempt his his little home was. Shrugging it off, he left, carefully locking the door and proceeding down his street towards the center of the village.

Jerik mused over how nice it was to be able to walk down a simple street without everybody running and screaming, not that there would be a huge crowd running away at this point in time. Here, he could just act like another other human and get on with his daily activities.

Despite it being rather late for him, the streets were still fairly empty, with only the earliest of early birds awake and moving. All the better.

The Renegade Pokemon in disguise continued his loop throughout the town, meticulously searching for what he needed.

Nafter was wide awake by now, preferring to wake up with the sun. He enjoyed watching it through the living room window, while sitting on the couch right up by it. He usually drank hot cocoa while doing this. He loved hot cocoa; it was sweet and warm, unlike ice cream. He even drank hot cocoa in summer.

He tipped the mug he was holding one last time, trying to coax the very last droplets into his mouth, before putting it in the dishwasher. He decided that it was time for breakfast, and got a donut from a box. He also loved donuts of all kinds of flavors. If every kind of food were huntable from the wild as a Moltres, then he would have hunted donuts. This sometimes happened in dreams, where he was having a hunting dream about stalking a donut and killing it.

Finishing his donut rather quickly, he soon pulled out another, thinking about what to do next. He decided to go wandering around the town, out of lack of other things to do.

Entia also woke up early, although rather sleepier. She usually woke up at average time, but she sometimes felt restless, as the ocean did with its seemingly unpredictable waves. She watched the same sunrise, amazed by the colors. Sunrises didn't look anything like this from underwater, and even then, the Lugia had rarely seen a sunrise. She was usually too deep to see anything but the sun at high noon, and sometimes she couldn't even see that.

She ate a plain bowl of cereal for breakfast, complete with milk. She, much like Nafter, ate on the couch. She had a small dining table, but what was the point of being formal when you were alone?

She ate quickly, not caring too much about the taste of the cereal. She wanted to go back to the beach, like she usually did. She loved swimming, but today she felt more like just lying in the sun. So long as she was near her ocean.

The smell of tea wavered in the air of the house, worming its way to into the many rooms of the house. Finally, it reached the right person to alert, causing the adult man to raise from his sleep like a zombie.

"What...time is it"

He lifted his hand, a soft purple glow glowing around his hand and the clock out of reach. He opened one violet eye and glanced at the clock's face. He swore under his breath and ran his hand through his hair.

"Seven-thirty in the fucking morning...God, who wakes up at this ungodly hour?"

Atemu slipped out of his bed and pulled a house robe to cover his bare chest. He slipped out of his room and found his way to where his Daughter sat in the window. He paused in his stride and watched her silently, a small smile on his face as he studied the happy look on her face.

"What do you want for breakfast, Bratling."

----------------------------------

"Daddy?"

A small girl continued to search her home, looking for her father in all the rooms she could reach the handle too. She searched and searched, finding no luck in locating her father dearest. After searching all the rooms she could, she sat in the middle of the front hall and looked sadly at the front door.

"Daddy..."

She wiggled her toes a bit, counting the strips on her toe socks and wondered where her Daddy went. After a moment's thought, she concluded that he must have been out on his jog. she hopped up off the floor and tottled to her shoes, slipping into them and grabbing to coat off the short coat hanger designed for her. Shrugging the light coat one, she opened the door and made her way into the morning world outside to search for her Daddy.

"Daddy! Where are you...?"

It was fairly early, but Joseph was up and walking around the village, much like he usually did. He never understood the concept of clocks and time, so he always judged what time of the day it was by looking at the sun.

He walked, without a goal, floating about in his little world. Eventually, he found himself at the coffee shop. He didn't drink coffee, but he went by this place on his walks every day, along with the rest of the town. There was a man in a white suit there, he waved at the man and then began counting the cobblestones in the ground.

((Also, that'd be Ishvara. How long have he lived in the village anyway? I need to know if Joseph knows him since before or not))

Byrne was up around 7 AM, for one of his walks.

"Hope the coffee shop opens soon." he said in his gruff voice, "I'm running on empty."

He was up most of the night writing. He usually wrote about the strange behaviors of humans.

Me and you...we're gonna be as elusive as Mew~

A preteen shifted in her bed when the alarm clock stared to blare that song by The Kanto Five.

"Five more minutes...." she moaned.

Sonia aimlessly walked around the small town, a small cookie in her mouth and a few more in the small backpack she was wearing. It was far too early for her to be wearing her actual clothes, so she was clad simply in a sweater and sweatpants, with a small bag to hold more cookies. It was rather fun being a human, they could dress up in all sorts of clothes, and no one would hurl Pokéballs at her.

She frowned as she saw Ming's calls, happening to pass by Ishvara's house on her stroll.

"Are you lost?" Sonia asked in her clear, musical voice, flipping back the long white scarf that was currently draped around her neck.

Ming looked up when someone spoke to her. She tilted her head a bit, her messy bed-head hair falling in her face. She kicked her feet a bit, falling a little shy.

"I'm looking for Daddy...he runs in the morning..."

She glanced up at her with her large purple eyes, spying the cookie in her mouth.

"...Cookie?"

"Cookie, yes," Sonia says with a smile, swallowing the one in her mouth and pulling a chocolate chip one out of her bag and offering it to Ming.

"If you'd like, I could help you look for your Daddy. Most joggers hang around the coffee shop for a rest anyway."

Mishayn blinked hard and yawned, relishing the experience; yawning wasn't something that Shaymin usually partook in, and neither was sleeping. It was a bit vexing having to accommodate the strange needs of a human body, as sleeping, bathing, even the disposal of waste were new experiences to Shayn.

After popping on his flowered fedora and a vest, Shayn grabbed a pair of gardening gloves and walked downstairs. The spiral staircase, and indeed the entire house, contained no wooden components. the walls were wallpapered stone, the floors carpet and linoleum. On his way out, Mishayn noticed that his roommate was nowhere in sight; Joseph was a strange little human, with no good timescale as most humans would define the term.

The Shaymin-in-human-form opened the front door (plastic) and walked down the front steps (granite). Shayn got to work immediately, watering his precious flowers and trees. A passerby might have noticed that he did no weeding; dandelions grew alongside roses, crabgrass interspersing other plants on the overgrown lawn.

Ming took the cookie and looked up at her, a small smile on her face. He tottled over to her side and reached up, wrapping her fingers around around a few of Sonia's.

"Coffee Shop...My Hot Chocolate come from there! Let's go find Daddy!"

She pulled on the lady's hand, chirping happily at the idea of finding her Daddy. She planned on surprising him and by jumping on his back and hugging him tight.

----------------------------------------

"I see you are too caught up in the scenery."

Atemu chuckled and walked over to his little daughter, petting her hair as he watched the scene. He could see that some of the flowers were waking up from their sleep, the sun starting to peek out from the horizon more. He smiled and kissed the top of Yuuka's head before walking toward the kitchen.

"Last chance to get your order in for breakfast"

((Ishvara would have probably lived in town for just over a year or so.))

Ishvara waved at the boy who passed close by, a smile playing on his lips. They were a faint yellow today, not too much lighter than his hair. He had seen the boy around once or twice, and he seemed like a nice enough human. He liked humans well enough, when they weren't trying to do anything particularly stupid, anyway.

He let his gaze wander back to the door of the coffee shop. It'd open soon.

---

"Hm?" Yuuka looked away from the window when she felt someone touch her hair, smiling when she saw Atemu, her papa. "Good morning."

She slid off the windowsill and took another sip from her teacup, watching the man head to the kitchen. She didn't normally eat that much, at least when she was in her Pokemon form, but she was hungry. She put the cup on the coffee table.

"Can I have an omelet? No bacon, just mushrooms and herbs, like normal," she said. This was her normal breakfast in human form, if she had one. "I'll be outside."

She pushed the front door open and hopped the stairs, landing in the grass. If one looked very closely, they could see the grass getting slightly longer under her feet, but it was hardly noticeable. The Shaymin plopped down next to a large pot, not caring if she got damp with dew, and stared at the small tree planted inside.

"Come on...grow..."

Dakota tilted her head slightly. She was interested in seeing what was in that part of town she had never seen before; it was the upper left corner, except a little lower than that. It was most likely just more houses, but she had still never been there. Maybe it would be good to explore.

She at least knew where she was going next; that unexplored part of town. Dakota liked exploring, and also running. Exploring and running was even better. Maybe she could walk fast.

And so, she set off in the direction of the first quadrant of houses.

Atemu chuckled, muttering a soft "aye aye" before entering the kitchen. He slipped on a apron from the hook, waving his hand to float the ingredients he needed as well as the pan to cook it in. He glanced at his hand, studying the smooth skin of human flesh with a slight purple tinge to it. He chuckles a bit under his breath and turns to the oven. He clicked on the stove and begins to make Yuuka's breakfast.

"No meat...always the vegetarian...or is it vegan...no, no, Vegans don't eat eggs."

The Darkrai in disguise still lay there, trying to get back to sleep and just... thinking. She stared intently at a tiny bottle on her bedside table. It was filled with little Dark Stone pebbles. Lucine had gotten it for Zora for her birthday last year. Hadn't been long they'd been living in this little town here, but they'd known each other for years.

Zora smiled to herself as her arm went limp again. "Looks like another lazy Sunday morning..." She sat up anyway, barely stumbling to her feet before having to grab hold of her desk to keep stable.

There was another thing she liked about this human form. If she was in it, she didn't inflict nightmares on sleeping people around her. Which was nice, because living alone was boring to her.

---------------

If one were to look by the shore, one would notice the white-haired woman who looked as if she had just arrived, but no boat.

Lucine shrugged. Not like any real humans would really notice. And with that though, she jumped up onto the grassy ledge and started down the street toward her house. Her roommate would still probably be asleep. Silly Darkrai.

Shayn hoisted himself up from his place in the ground, reeled his arms ti regain balance, and wiped his brow. Sweating was a strange human thing, too. As he thought this, a pang of longing discomfort tore its way through Mishayn's abdominal region.

Human food had taken a bit of time to get the hang of; the Shaymin had attempted to eat grass once or twice before a passing Bellsprout was kind enough to tell him that humankind couldn't digest the stuff, Arceus-knew-why. Shayn thought it was perfectly fine himself.

Oh, well, Shayn had soon figured out that humans could digest fruit and berries, thank the Creator's Egg. He'd made do with that, along with the humans' more ingenious culinary inventions. Like chocolate, for instance; Shayn had always known the cacao plant had some potential.

Shayn ran back inside and opened the refrigerator (solar-powered, mostly) and pulled out a new canister of chocolate frosting and, after a moment or two of deliberation, several pecha berries. Dipping one into the other, Shayn stepped back outside and walked into the street, looking for someone to talk to or eat with.

"Hot chocolate, huh?" Sonia said, amused, before scooping Ming up in her arms and going into a slight trot toward the coffee shop. She wasn't a big coffee drinker, but she had walked past it once or twice, and her memory was good.

Making sure the child in her arms was secure, she rounded a few corners so all that could be heard was the muffled clicks of her sandals on the stone, as Sonia struggled with a slightly squirmy child, as most children are.

She finally made it near the coffee shop, seeing the few people already there. "Recognize anyone?" Sonia asked, scanning the people in front of her.
