So for my birthday in two weeks, I wanted to get Pokemon Platinum, I don't care that it's in Japanese and all. Anyway, do Japanese games work on a DS from America? My dad thinks it won't work if I try and play it, however I though he was wrong, but just to make sure.
 
Yes, you will be able to play it. You probably won't be able to use Pal Park with your American games, though.
