• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

This is a thread for sharing gimmicks and ideas for ASB battles that may or may not ever happen, but would make for an amusing situation.

For example, do you ever wish your Pokémon had a certain move outside of its movepool? Just have nothing in your active squad but that Pokémon and a Smeargle. Have the Smeargle trace the move you want, and have your Pokémon use Assist, and voilà! you can teach it whatever you want!

Short on money? Use a Meowth in a battle and give it an Amulet Coin. Use Pay Day as much as needed and proceed to make it rain.

Have too much money? Buy a bunch of Unown, and make them spell out "DEEZ NUTS" in your active squad.

Want to get creative? Have a battle where the trainers are only allowed to use Ditto, and must have them transform into inanimate objects to deal damage to each other.

Did the db actually do an April Fools joke?

Here is my contribution to this thread: 10v10v10v10v10v10v10v10v10v10 10-tuple. Sure, it would take literal years to finish, but every round the ref gets at least hundreds of ASB$. They could probably even outmoney Kratos, in a couple rounds.

Shell Smash and Stored Power being used together would be godly. After one Shell Smash, Stored Power has 140 BP. After two, it has 260 BP. After three Shell Smashes, Stored Power has a WHOPPING 380 BASE POWER.

Currently, no Pokémon has access to both these moves, but it can be achieved by Baton Passing, using Psych Up in a double battle, or by using Smeargle.

EDIT: Xatu has access to Simple Beam, Psych Up, and Stored Power, making it perfect for the doubles strategy.
