• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

[OOC/Closed] Awakening [started]

Re: [OOC/Closed] Awakening [starting once all reserved forms are done]

Go ahead, if you want. I don't mind either way.

Re: [OOC/Closed] Awakening [starting once all reserved forms are done OR in 4 days]

Name: Reginald "Reggie" Seiteri
Age when put in Naptime: 12
Current Age: 24
Gender: ♂

Species: Bronzong
Power: Gravitikinesis
Personality: Reginald is a very cynical man, and having spent over a decade in the system, he has the right to be - his idea is that if those put into Naptime could be freed, they would have been, long ago. Since they have not, he's come to two conclusions: either something has happened to those on the outside that has prevented the ones in Naptime to be awakened, or the ones in Naptime were purposely put into Naptime so the leaders of the Shelter could get rid of them - that they were mistakes that needed to be rid of. He favors the latter possibility, likely because he's been inside the Naptime for all these years. The results of being in there for all that time have had more than one effect on him, mind you.

Aside from this cynical view of the world, and his reactions to those who always disagree with it, Reginald is actually a pleasant man. He has a constant air of class and control, is capable of having many intellectual conversations, and the moment he uses maximized gravity to kill you, he'll remain pleasant the entire time. He'll even insincerely apologize.

Appearance: Reginald is a very tall man, and generally wears a white jacket, and has dark brown-colored hair. He has a silver analog watch on his left wrist, which he is rather fond of. The only feature that he seems to have shared with his Bronzong is that his eyes have turned a dull red.

Bio: Reginald never had a family, nor did he have a name.

He doesn't even have a memory of his life before turning ten.

What he does remember is his waking up, abandoned in an alleyway, being given food by an elderly man. The man left shortly thereafter, but not before giving his name: "Reginald Seiteri."

So Reginald took that name as well, to thank the stranger in his own way. After that day, Reginald wandered the region aimlessly, pausing only to watch the occasional pokemon battle. Within a few months, he understood all the points of a battle impressively, and would make occasional offhand remarks to other watching the battle about flaws in the trainer's strategy, or what they could have done to end the battle quickly.

That was what caught the attention of those men. After about a year of his wandering, his remarks were heard by a few men that happened to be working for the Shelter. On their own initiative, the men brought him to the Shelter where, after a few days, he was given a Bronzor, which was named Gary.

Reginald trained with Gary for a year, and the day after Gary evolved into a Bronzong, the men asked for him. Reginald complied, but only under the condition that he would be returned within three days (unbeknowst to Reginald, that would mark his twelfth birthday.) They agreed.

True to their word, they brought Reginald down to the chambers three days later, and when he asked where his Bronzong is, the men put the energy of Gary into Reginald, and he fell unconscious from the shock.

When he next woke up, he was back where he was. Only this time, he could hear the voice of Gary in his head.

You see, Reginald's implantation was the first attempt of the Shelter to implant a pokemon's spirit into a human body. Thus, it was flawed: Gary did not perfectly merge with Reginald, but instead became his own entity inside the latter's mind. The men saw this, and feared that if left unchecked, the two minds would drive Reginald insane. Thus, they sent him into Naptime, where he could not damage the outside world.

What none of them realized is that this would only make things worse. Reginald's mind has slowly but surely been destabilizing from the effects of the implantation, hence why he will occasionally fly into a state of rage/psychosis. Normally, his mind could withstand the burden of a second mind for decades, maybe even centuries (not that Reginald would live that long,) but instead, the properties of the stasis are speeding up the rate of destabilization. He's already been in stasis for twelve years, is aware that he is in such a place, but is not aware that his days as a sane human are numbered. Gary might be, though whether or not the Bronzong will share this information is unknown.

Relationships: None, though I am open for them
Other: Is it okay for him to be the first to be put into Naptime?

Re: [OOC/Closed] Awakening [starting once all reserved forms are done OR in 4 days]

Form:
Name: Aya Rogers
Age when put in Naptime: 13
Current Age: 14
Gender:

Species: Vibrava
Power: Geokinesis (I wanted Acoustikinesis, but oh well :3)
Personality: Aya is very quiet and reserved, as well as shy. She keeps to herself most of the time, and in social situations tends to lean on the few friends she does have, rather than try to make new friends. She's reasonably smart, liking to read in her free time, or, back when she had her, playing with her Trapinch/Vibrava, Mera. Mera gave Aya someone she could lean on and depend upon all the time, someone who was always there for her no matter what the situation was, and helped give Aya confidence through her life. When Mera was taken away from Aya, that confidence completely evaporated, and Aya was sent into a severe depression, believing that everything she loved, first her mother, then her Vibrava, would always be taken from her, and often she wished she could join them. Merging with Mera's spirit, however, changed everything and likely saved Aya's life. She doesn't really care what happens now or what she was made to do after, in terms of serving the city. It was then that she felt complete, that her best friend was back and would never leave her again, no matter what.

Appearance: Before the merger with her longtime friend, Mera, Aya was a pretty young girl, pale with long, blond hair that she kept tied in a pair of braids. She had blue eyes and a relatively short disposition. Some things have changed since then. Her skin has yellowed since then, with visible lines around her neck and torso. She has grown a tail and long wings, her tail she usually tries to hide within a light blue dress, but her wings are too big to hide, and easily reveal the fact that she's a guardian. Her eyes have become a deep red, with a translucent, green eye cover directly on top of her eye, similar to that of a snake.

Bio: At one point, Aya was just a normal schoolgirl. Her father divorced her mother early on in her life, and disappeared, apparently leaving the country and remarrying apparently. She's not heard from him in over a decade and hardly remembers him. She lived with her mother for her first 10 years, in a poor neighborhood of Goldenrod City. Her mother could never find permanent work, and got by doing long hours in temp and odd jobs. Everything began to take its toll on her mother's health, however, and she died at the early age of 36. Aya had nowhere to go or turn and eventually ended up on the steps of the Shelter. She met her best friend there, a Trapinch that she named Mera. It was almost as if in Mera she saw her mother smiling back on her. She was so excited after a year and a half, when Mera suddenly evolved into a Vibrava. But days later, her excitement turned to horror when Mera disappeared... in a dream, she could see the whole murder taking place, and awakened during the night, screaming.

After the loss of her Vibrava, Aya refused to do much of anything, rarely getting out of her room except to eat, not communicating with anyone. She also began eating less and less, sometimes going days starving herself. It was only a few months when, faced with the prospect of her death from starvation, the Shelter chose to change her earlier than usual. She was taken away from her room forcefully and given the orb containing her fallen friend's spirit, and soon, she was merged with the Vibrava. Aya only began to find herself again when she found Mera returning to her in a dream that night, and often looks up to her 'other self' when faced with new, often difficult situations. This has given her a kind of split personality, and each side can come out at any time.

Relationships: None, but open to a relationship. If anyone wants to be one of her friends, just ask.
Other: check power, hehe... And thanks for being patient with me. Things have been pretty hectic as of late.
