The home stage of the twin Eon Pokemon is the sunny Southern Island! At first glance, it appears to be a small, quiet island edged by beach all around, with a few palm trees and clouds in the sky. Though it's much more that it appears; if one could see aura or the energy in the air one would find that millions of sparks of energy hang in the air and water around the island. You can see why a Legend would want to live here.

The island itself is a small place, being about 15 feet square. The water about 7 feet out from the island is relatively shallow at 2 feet deep, and is salty. The pure energy in the air causes all Special moves to gain 2% damage and cost 1% less energy. The thing about the Southern Island is that destruction isn't very satisfying. After a few rounds, everything starts to rebuild or grow, and by the end of the third round, everything is as it was, including the weather. Moves that affect the weather's effects are shortened to just one round.

The island is actually floating, bringing its patch of shallow water around with it. Dig brings the user to a pool of fresh water about 3 feet down, and Earthquake will bring a massive tidal wave acting as a Surf to appear the next round and damage both sides.

Latias: Substitite (10%) - Dragonbreath@Moonbeam - Hone Claws

Latios: Power Split@Sherile - Safeguard - Last Resort@Moonbeam

(Just curious-are targets randomized too?)

Oh snap-wait, Last Resort won't work in this case! Good thing it's not like the games. Let's see, Power Split will techincally also fail, so Latios basically won't attack this turn. Latias' substitute could be a problem, as well as that Dragonbreath, so Moonbeam, use Attract on her first turn. That should stop her from hitting you. Next, lull her to sleep with a Hypnosis, for added safety. Last, use Faint Attack on Latios. If Latias is still awake for some reason, just use Double Team.

Sherile, hit both of them with a Blizzard. Then, use a Taunt at Latios to hopefully cancel out Safeguard. On the last action, if Latias is asleep, hit Latios with a Night Slash. Otherwise, use Calm Mind and wait it out.

And so arrived the third victim – ahem, customer of the Dragons’ Den Simulation. Griffin had to shove someone asking about the business as well as several others offering to help aside in his haste to acquire the precious simulation slot. The mechanical dragon behind the counter raised her eyebrows, but silently beckoned him to follow her. Griffin had to jog to keep up with her fast pace.

It was soon apparent that Griffin would become hopelessly lost without a guide – the building seemed to have been planned by a brain-dead Magikarp. The hallways branched off countless times and rooms were littered about in what seemed to be a very inefficient manner. At last, the owner approached a door with an eye-catching “CAUTION” sign on it, opening the door and ushering Griffin inside.

The room, though enormous, didn’t appear to be dangerous in the least. Griffin looked around curiously while the owner tottered off to a door in the far corner. Moments after she entered the mysterious room, beeps and clicks echoed through the main chamber. A robotic voice announced, “Simulation initializing… Southern Island” before a monstrous creaking noise began. The floor itself drew apart, revealing a pool of water. That was all Griffin saw before a blinding flash engulfed the room; when he dared to open his eyes again, beams of light had painted the mind-bogglingly realistic image of a floating island. Strangely enough, it wasn’t even an illusion in the truest sense of the word: when Griffin released his battlers, they landed safely on the grass. Sherile the Absol shook out her fur, while Moonbeam the Hoothoot nervously switched from foot to foot. Both Pokemon nervously stared at the air before them: there was a mass of flickering static, which moments later resolved into the draconic forms of Latias and Latios, the fabled Eon twins.

The playful glint left Latias’s eye as the battle began. Instead of wiggling her claws at her scared opponent, she traced them through the air, leaving a thin, sparkling line. She drew the rough outline of a dragon with a similar build to herself, then pressed both palms against it; there was a brief shimmer, and suddenly the outline sprang to life. It flapped its flimsy wings a few times, then levitated in front of its creator, ready to protect her from harm.

Meanwhile, Latios had established a mental connection with Sherile. The Absol growled as she felt a tingling sensation, but she couldn’t shake it off. Luckily for her, Latios could not find any surplus strength that could be shared. Disappointed, the blue dragon released his hold on Sherile’s mind and sat back, huffing.

Whereas the Eon twins played defensively, Sherile’s mind was on more violent matters. While dragons were formidable opponents, she knew just the thing to cool down their sizzling tempers. She opened her mouth wide to reveal a large orb of light-blue energy. With a mighty exhalation, a flurry of ice crystals flew from her mouth. At the same time, she summoned a strong gale that swept towards the dragons. Latias’s substitute flung itself in front of its creator. So powerful was the icy blast that it disintegrated immediately. Latias wailed at the loss of her structure, so soon after it had been created. Latios, acting quickly, had managed to duck out of the way. Sherile growled, unhappy that she had hit neither of her intended targets, though at least the substitute was out of the way.

Much like the legendaries, Moonbeam was working on subtle tactics as well. Daringly, he hopped up to Latias and did his best to give her a coy smile – not an easy feat with a beak. Gosh, he said, I knew legendaries were majestic and all, but you’re just another thing entirely! Can’t help but notice your sleek body… and what a gorgeous shade of red! Latias blinked at the sudden praise, then fluttered her eyelids and smiled. Sorry about my teammate, Moonbeam continued. She oughta open her eyes, really – how could anyone harm such a beautiful creature? I know I couldn’t, for sure.

By now, Latias was quite flattered. That Hoothoot was quite the smooth gentleman. Determined to show that she was not just beautiful, but strong as well, she breathed a cone of sparkly flames at the ground in front of him. At least, those were her intentions: her muzzle was aimed just a bit too high, and Moonbeam himself was engulfed in a draconic blaze. He let out a screech and hopped frantically about, flapping his stubby wings. It didn’t take long for the fire to die out, but the poor bird was left slightly singed.

Latios had watched Moonbeam woo his sister, and was none too pleased. Closing his eyes in concentration, he began to weave a mystical barrier around the two dragons. The air around them shimmered green as a Safeguard descended upon them. Unfortunately, it arrived too late to save Latias, who was craning her neck to inspect Moonbeam while apologizing profusely.

Sherile watched the exchange between her owl partner and the red dragon and gave a nasty cackle. What a dumb sister you have, she snarled at Latios. Didn’t teach her well, did you? My, my. The Absol backed away a step with a mocking expression as Latios growled threateningly. Quite a temper you have. Shall I just cool you off with another Blizzard, hm? Sherile’s taunts were maddening, certainly, but the Safeguard worked mysterious effects on Latios’s mind, calming the usually-temperamental dragon. He sniffed derisively, refusing to give in.

Meanwhile, Moonbeam had finished checking himself over for any nasty burns. Satisfied that he had escaped lasting damage, the Hoothoot once again approached Latias, staring up at her with large, unblinking eyes. Latias stared back, entranced; even when Moonbeam’s eyes began to glow an eerie pink, she didn’t look away. Unfortunately for Moonbeam, his psychic signals were interrupted by the Safeguard, so Latias didn’t feel the least bit sleepy. Moonbeam broke the stare with a sniff of frustration.

Shrugging, Latias decided to show off her strength in a less forward manner. She extended her claws to their full length and rubbed them against each other in a series of swift, accurate movements. The sound of the grinding sent her blood pumping, and after a few moments she flexed her newly-sharpened instruments of doom, now even more pointed and precise.

Furious at Moonbeam for seducing his sister, Latios lunged forward with a roar. The Hoothoot cowered. Latios took a swipe at the owl, but without desperation driving the movement, it was so slow Moonbeam had little trouble dodging it. Another swipe yielded the same result. Now positively fuming, Latios settled with glaring daggers at his puny foe.

A quick glance at Latias showed that she was still very much awake. Sherile grumbled, but sat back and began to clear her mind. As she purged her brain of all distractions, she felt her mental barriers strengthen and her intellectual power increase. A feeling of calm stole over her. Meanwhile, Moonbeam was zipping back and forth, so fast that he was almost a blur. The streak of brown shattered into five pieces, and when the Hoothoot slowed down, he was accompanied by four identical owls.

I keep switching the g’s and f’s in Griffin’s name and end up with Friggin.
Since Latias and Latios have the same speed, I will roll a dice to determine who goes first for the entire round. This round, Latias went first.
Blizzard missed Latios.
Just a note, when an attack hits both targets in a double battle, I reduce its base power by a fourth. Effectively, Blizzard would have 90 base damage for the purposes of damage (not energy) calculation.
Safeguard protected the legendaries from Taunt and Hypnosis.
Please tell me if there are any errors – I made a ton of mistakes while reffing this. Forgetting about the sub, forgetting about safeguard, etc.

Urghh. Okay, we've established that they're faster at least. Well, Sherile, I'm guessing you don't quite care about Latias' infatuation to Moonbeam, so just hit them with another Blizzard. Let's see Safeguard get past that! If it successfully hits Latios, use Assurance on him. Otherwise, use Night Slash. And then step back and Calm your Mind again.

Moonbeam, do apologize for her behavior to Latias, won't you? And show off a bit with your Echoed Voice! Do that twice in a row, just to make sure she hears it, while telling her it's a form of courtship display. And finally, finish off your display by summoning a Twister! Just like the dragons do it!

Tearing her gaze away from the five Moonbeams, Latias focused on Sherile instead. The technique the disaster Pokemon had just used was very familiar to Latias indeed, so it took little time and effort to analyze her opponent’s thoughts. Both dark and psychic type had similar ways to boost their mental prowess: like Sherile, Latias closed her eyes and filtered out everything distracting and unnecessary, making her mind more resilient and nimble.

Meanwhile, Latios was exercising his mental powers in a different way. His eyes glowed purple as he chose a Hoothoot at random. Sensing danger, the Moonbeams squawked and scattered. Nevertheless, Latios’s target was promptly obliterated, struck down with a strong telekinetic force. The clone vanished in a puff of distorted air; Latios growled in annoyance, dearly wishing to cause pain to the real owl, while the remaining Moonbeams sighed in relief.

Sherile had now risen to her feet, eager to test her improved attacking abilities. Another white-blue orb glimmered in her mouth, and from it issued forth a storm of snowflakes and ice crystals. This time, Latias had a taste of the fury of winter: she cried out as icy debris dug into her skin and shivered as the high winds whisked away her body heat. She was only caught by the fringe of the attack, though, so the discomfort did not last long. The same could not be said for Latios. The blue and white dragon was caught in the middle of the squall, and all he could do was cringe and wait it out. When it was finally over, Latios was shuddering visibly, almost too cold to flick frozen moisture off of his wings.

Moonbeam waited for the Blizzard to die down before he approached Latias. The dragon pricked her ear flaps, expressing curiosity as the four Hoothoots closed in around her. The flaps were quickly pressed against her head, though, when Moonbeam opened his beak and let out the loudest, most awful shriek that Latias had ever heard. Her eardrums quivered under the force of the shout. She wailed – why was Moonbeam yelling at her?

So scared and miserable was Latias that she could only stare imploringly at Moonbeam, silently begging forgiveness for anything she’d done wrong. The battle was quite far from her mind. At the same time, some strange force urged Latios to reach into Moonbeam’s mind, to learn his mannerisms, adopt his behaviours. It was absurd – why would he want to be some mundane owl when he was a legendary dragon? Nevertheless, Latios landed on the ground with a thump, his levitating abilities gone, and his eyes stretched so wide they were nearly circles. He could scarcely close his eyelids to blink.

With his eyes so wide, Latios seemed almost freakishly alert. Sherile growled – it wouldn’t do wonders for her underhanded command. She rushed forward, paws glowing with dark energy and gave Latios a rough shove. The dragon gave an oddly bird-like squawk of indignation and clumsily flapped a few paces away, his side bleeding lightly from minor scratches. Sherile snarled again. It was as she predicted: the legendary was not so stupid to be caught unawares.

Once again, Moonbeam and his clones hopped closer to Latias, who cringed; was she going to be scolded again? Moonbeam inhaled deeply and gave another mighty shout, which mingled with the echoes still lingering around the island to create an even more disastrous sound than before. Even though Latias was half-bracing herself for the sound, she gave a cry of distress. It felt like her eardrums were flapping.

After the sound had mostly died away, Latias began to flap her wings. If Moonbeam was going to scream at her, well, she’d have to calm him down. Soft, feathery down fell from the dragon’s wings, to be charged with psychic energy that caused the feathers to clump together in a roughly spherical shape. The ball seemed so innocent, a ball of fluff and joy, yet it hummed with power. Latias threw the projectile at Sherile. The Mist Ball exploded squarely on her chest, but other than narrowing her eyes in mirth as the feathers tickled her nose, the Absol seemed to suffer no ill effects.

Moonbeam was watching the feathers from Latias’s attack drift to the floor, and wasn’t prepared for the waves of water that slammed into him. By luck, Latios had managed to pinpoint the real Hoothoot. While the water wasn’t particularly harmful, it carried a weird, garbled sound that caused disorientation. Moonbeam was bowled over by a combination of rushing water and sudden lack of coordination. Thankfully, he managed to shake off the confusion and stood up again.

Like at the end of last round, Sherile sat down on the soft grass of the island, eyes blissfully closed. More distractions had accumulated over the course of the round, and she drove those out of her mind, once again heightening her mental prowess. While his partner meditated, Moonbeam covered for her offensively, flying around in rapid circles to whip up a tornado. Using what limited knowledge he had of dragons, he infused some draconic energy into the Twister and directed it towards his opponents. It hit Latios first, spinning him around in a few circles before doing the same to Latias. The attack was relatively weak, though, and merely left the dragons irritated – or in Latias’s case, distraught that Moonbeam was still punishing her.

Just as the Twister died down, the barrier around the Eon twins faded, leaving them vulnerable to status effects.

Latios pointed his muzzle to the heavens and let out a harsh, grating shriek. Wild gales lashed around the legendary, tearing up grass and throwing up sand, until the blue dragon could hardly be seen behind the veil of debris. The other battlers cringed and shielded their eyes; there was a faint cry of “no Latios what are you doing”, but the sandstorm distorted visibility and hearing so much that it was impossible to tell where the voice came from. Then, with another screech, the winds exploded outwards, enveloping the entire island in a fierce storm that whipped debris about. Grit found its way into wounds, grass blades narrowly missed eyes, and chunks of dirt forced their way up nostrils.

The sandstorm made Latias sigh with exasperation. What was her brother doing, indeed? She could barely see past the curtains of sand. Peering intently, she caught a glimpse of the brown-and-white blob that was Moonbeam and wailed plaintively in hopes that the Hoothoot would hear her and come rushing. Unfortunately, he did nothing of the sort, and Latias was left to stare at the round bird with a longing sigh.

Suddenly, a shadow bounded through the sandstorm. Latios whirled around to confront the attacker, but it was too late. Scythe edged with sizzling darkness, Sherile had swung her head towards the mighty legendary, carving a deep line into his chest. Latios fell back with an angry chirp, too-wide eyes brimming with accusation. The cut began to ooze blood, which hissed and bubbled when it came in contact with the burning dark energy surrounding the wound. A searing pain, worse than that of a normal cut, wracked Latios’s body, clearly reminding him of his vulnerability to the shadows. Wiping the blood away, the dragon glared at Sherile. The insolent Pokemon was going to pay.

While Sherile had approached Latios, Moonbeam approached Latias. The red dragon pricked her ears in anticipation as the object of her affection drew near. Something was wrong, though: Moonbeam’s eyes were somehow even rounder than usual, and they seemed to glow a faint pink. Though unsettling, it was equally entrancing, and Latias simply could not look away. Neither could she keep her eyelids from sliding shut. Within moments, the legendary was snoring, her head bowed.

Latios jerked his head about in a birdlike manner, trying to dislodge the sand that was digging into his skin. He certainly was feeling strange today – obscure, random urges to use moves, imitating a lowly bird. And now he had the urge to cover himself with water. He hated getting wet. Nevertheless, water seemed to spring from the very air, and Latios rushed forth, bringing a sheet of liquid with him. He slammed into Sherile, tackling her harshly to the ground and dousing her with ice-cold liquid. The Absol cried out in shock, and again when her head struck the ground, right against a conveniently placed rock. When Latios backed off and she managed to struggle to her feet, a nasty bruise was developing on her forehead and her vision swam.

With Latias out of commission, Sherile was the next to act. She wisely decided to sit down and take a quick break. With her eyes closed, the world didn’t twist about in front of her and she felt much better. Meanwhile, Moonbeam was flapping his stubby little wings, somehow generating a thin tornado. The greenish winds, imbued with draconic energy, took debris from the sandstorm. With a final flap, the Twister began to travel towards the Eon twins, but once again it was relatively weak. Latias merely mumbled in slight discomfort as the draconic energy nipped at her skin, and Latios just raised a paw to cover his face.

It appeared that Latios had a sudden love for water. His chest puffed out as he took a huge breath; when he exhaled, a torrent of liquid gushed forth along with a garbled scream. The water washed over the resting Sherile, causing her to shiver in discomfort. More importantly, though, the strange sound stored in the water wormed its way into her skull, setting off a ghastly echo. Sherile began to feel nauseous, and she opened her eyes to find that she was now seeing double.

The miserable Absol would’ve given anything to lie down for a few more minutes, but her trainer prodded her insistently. Reluctantly she rose – only to have her feet slip out from under her as she was struck by a sudden dizzy spell. She winced in pain as she hit the ground, and again as an odd screeching invaded her ears. Whimpering, she buried her nose under her paws, worried now that control of her own body was slipping away.

Moonbeam paid no attention to his suffering comrade as he was attending to his own attack. Flapping his wings to produce a Twister was no easy task, especially when his wings were so small. Eventually, though, another thin hurricane was formed and hurled at the dragons, who were as comically unaffected as ever.

The winds whipping around the island began to die down. Moonbeam and Sherile looked about in surprise – surely the sandstorm should’ve lasted longer? Latios, however, was not surprised; as a denizen of the island, he knew how fast it healed.

Ugh! Latios is being a thorn in our side. Moonbeam, Hypnotize him too! Then recover energy from both of them with Dream Eater.

Sherile, stay calm and Chill again. Then use Calm Mind. After that, if you can, use Punishment on Latias, otherwise Calm Mind once more.

Arena: Southern Island

Unaware that a battle was raging around her, Latias slumbered on. Her brother peered at her in concern. She was vulnerable like this, completely unaware. He couldn’t wake her up – the unnatural sleep would have to fade in its own time – but he could provide her with cushioning to make sure she wasn’t knocked out in her sleep. Latios attempted to close his eyes to help with concentration, but it was as if his eyelids had disappeared. Did Hoothoot ever blink? Shaking his head, he returned to the task at hand, holding his palms out in front of him and murmuring arcane words under his breath: words of benevolence and healing. In response, a soft pink sphere formed in front of his hands. With a final whispered phrase, the orb floated towards the sleeping form of Latias and exploded upon contact with her, sending a shower of yellow and pink sparks over her body. Where the sparks fell, wounds and bruises and abrasions disappeared. Sherile and Moonbeam gawked as their progress disappeared right before their eyes.

After a moment of incredulous gawking, Sherile settled on the ground and put her nose on her paws, not without giving Latios a growl though. That pompous blue dragon was going to get it after she cleared her head. She closed her eyes and breathed deeply, attempting to dispel her nausea.

Meanwhile, Moonbeam fixed a steely glare on Latios. He’d make sure the dragon didn’t pull any more healing shenanigans. He caught the great dragon’s attention with a squawk, then stared deep into his unblinking eyes, sending psychic signals through eye contact. All of a sudden, Latios had a sudden urge to disregard the battle and sleep… With an immense effort he tore his gaze away. He was a psychic – he knew the tricks, and Hypnosis was among the most basic. Moonbeam chattered in annoyance.

Latias rolled over in her sleep with a snort. Her slumber seemed more disturbed now, though she probably wouldn’t wake up in a while, so long as she wasn’t bothered. Latios prodded her with his snout to make sure she was okay, then glared at Moonbeam. Oh, yes, what a wretch that bird was, to seduce his sister and then hypnotize her, leaving her completely vulnerable. Retribution was in order. Latios took a deep breath, then belched a stream of sparkling flames. The draconic fire washed over Moonbeam in a burning tide; he shrieked in alarm and flapped his stubby wings at unprecedented speeds, trying to put out the fire. All of a sudden, the little owl stiffened and fell over on his side. Save for a few twitches, he was completely immobile: the Dragonbreath had paralyzed him.

While Moonbeam grappled with stiff muscles, Sherile opened one eye to peer concernedly at her teammate. The paralysis was unfortunate, but there was nothing she could do. Instead, she closed her eyes again and cleared her mind for the third time, purging her growing doubts and distress. Oh, yes, when she was ready to fight again, Latios would get a nasty surprise.

Fortunately for Moonbeam, his paralysis only lasted for a moment, and he soon regained control of his body. Suddenly, his tummy rumbled. He needed a snack. His trainer would surely yell at him if he flew off into the trees to forage, but he knew the next best thing. Moonbeam hopped over to Latias, ignoring Latios’s furious hiss, then delved into her mind. The red dragon was dreaming of Southern Island. How uncreative,, mused Moonbeam, before shrugging and tearing chunks of material from the dream. Latias tossed about uncomfortably. A grunt issued from Moonbeam’s beak as he tried vainly to suck more energy from his opponent, but her natural resistances worked against him. In the end he had to be content with a small portion, though his stomach was far from satisfied.

Extremely displeased with Moonbeam, Latios formed a sphere of brilliant white energy between his hands. Unlike the soft pink Heal Pulse, this orb seemed dangerous; jittery, unstable, and humming with damaging potential. As soon as Latios drew his paws back, the orb shot off at a high speed, barreling into Moonbeam’s chest. The Hoothoot gave a squawk of alarm as he was knocked over, pure energy vaporizing a few feathers on his front.

After taking a break and clearing her head, Sherile felt much better, though her head still swam from time to time. She stood up, then pounced on Latias with a vicious snarl, clawing and biting ferociously at the sleeping dragon. Latias twitched with each strike and cried out periodically. Great wounds opened on her body as Sherile slashed away in a murderous rage. Several times, claws and teeth pierced so deep that they scraped on bone, prompting particularly chilling wails from the unfortunate legendary. The sheer agony of the Punishment jolted Latias awake, and she shook Sherile off of her. The damage was done, though: blood ran from deep cuts along her body, staining her belly fur red.

Moonbeam cast an uneasy glance at the now-awake Latias, then hopped towards his target, the fuming Latios. Attempted to hop would be more accurate, as the bird’s muscles froze mid-jump and he tumbled to the ground in a twitching heap. Unmoved by Moonbeam’s peril, his stomach kept growling.

Sherile and Moonbeam looked worriedly at their unresponsive trainer, silently urging him to command them. Their pleas went unheard as Griffin continued to stare straight ahead. Then, a mechanical voice announced the beginning of another round, and the two Pokemon gave wails of horror. They could do nothing but cower as the Eon dragons approached, murder in their eyes.

Latios stared menacingly at Sherile, who shrank back. His too-wide eyes were reminiscent of her teammate’s, but on the legendary they seemed incongruous and terrifying. A ghastly gurgling sound emanated from Latios’s throat, and a large glob of purple soon spewed forth, drenching Sherile’s fur in burning toxins. She squealed and leapt back, giving her fur a lick, then pulled a face at the foul taste. It was pointless to try to clean it now; she could already feel the poison coursing through her blood.

Meanwhile, Latias seemed to think that the previous Sandstorm had not gone on for nearly long enough. There was another keening cry, and the winds howled in response, tossing dirt and debris every which way. All battlers cringed as sand poked at eyes and wedged its way into wounds. Though a fairly minor irritant, the Sandstorm was taxing on the vision.

Realizing this, Latios settled for a widespread attack that would almost certainly hit. The blue dragon began to glow with turquoise energy as he gathered draconic energy in his body… then, with a shout, the energy exploded outwards. Most of it was concentrated in Sherile’s direction, and she gave a yelp of pain as she was assaulted by a burning sensation that was much like that of fire. With a whimper, she looked imploringly at Griffin, begging him to instruct her or protect her from the dragons’ fury.

Sherile’s partner was not spared from pain either. Squinting her eyes against the wind and sand, Latias found Moonbeam. At last, she decided that the chubby owl was not sincere – maybe he had come to invade her precious island. Either way, he was harming her, and she intended to pay him back in full. Latias’s forehead took on a pink glow, then she lunged forward to give Moonbeam a harsh headbutt imbued with psychic energy. The Hoothoot squawked and stumbled backwards, a dark bruise quickly forming on his belly.

That was not enough for Latias. She was eager for more carnage, eager to drive these invaders from her island. Latios, for once less violent than his sister, had opted to clear his mind, heightening his mental abilities for further attacks and defenses against such. Meanwhile, Latias had lowered her head, preparing herself for a massive charge. A pure, destructive cloak of power surrounded her. She rocketed forwards at unprecedented speeds, blazing a golden trail as she went. Sherile was too slow to dodge; she could only widen her eyes in panic before she was struck full on in the chest. She was easily tossed across the island, energy from the impact burning her flesh horribly, only to land heavily and unceremoniously on the ground several metres away. Her body felt like one giant bruise: she was aching from nose to tail, almost too sore to even stand.

As quickly as it came, the Sandstorm began to subside, succumbing to the influence of Southern Island’s atmosphere.
