Yeah, this is stupid but who cares it's happening >.>

Okay so I'm doing a Ground monotype in Emerald, and I started with Mudkip... meaning Brendan has a Treecko (Grovyle now). I've just passed the weather institute, and when I battle him I simply can't survive. Grovyle uses Leaf Blade and kills me in a hit. My Pokemon are:
Baltoy

Mud-Slap
Psybeam
Ancientpower
Selfdestruct (I'd use it but Grovyle would kill me first. x.x)

any ideas?

EDIT: Never mind I managed to beat him anyway. Grovyle didn't murder Numel, who used Ember to get him to around half HP, and then used Screech on Sandslash, who then proceeded to Slash him to death. :D
