He kind of mentioned he's sticking with Emboar for Fighting! Also they're physically-oriented as it is.

I'd take Unfezant off the team. It is not good. Even for an early-game bird. It has good Attack, but learns no good Physical Flying moves (except I think Sky Attack at a really high level). I'd suggest Siglyph as a replacement. It's a Special Attacker, too, so that's helpful.

Seconding Sigilyph as a possible replacement for Unfezant. Sky Attack is worse than Fly, though.

My Ferrothorn helped me through N and Ghetsis, but Ferroseed is a pain to train because of crappy Speed. Deerling is also good if you want some dependable STAB and coverage. Vanilluxe is dependable and great against Drayden. If you can get a Litwick, Chandelure is great but you already have a fire type so meh. Golett = awesome, especially when it evolves.

Ok I'm at the Elite Four now. My team is Emboar, Mandibuzz, Leavanny, Zebstrika, Krookodile and Carracosta.

I'd like some suggestions on what to do, maybe other Pokés you could suggest... I'm going to use a Psychic Poké for Marshal instead of Zebstrika, I think. Electrics aren't all that good in this game with the lack of Water types...

I'm going to teach Nasty Plot to Mandibuzz, too, if that matters, and I'm getting another Leavanny without a -Speed nature.

Well, there's Gothitelle, Sigilyph, Musharna, Beeheeyem, and Swoobat. Sigilyph has pretty balanced stats and Magic Guard but it's frail and won't be able to effectively use any physical moves (not that it has to.) Gothitelle has better defenses, but its HP is middling, it's kind of slow, and it has Frisk. Musharna is slower than slow but really bulky. Swoobat has fantastic speed but horrible defenses, bad abilities, and mediocre offensive stats. And Beeheeyem is slow, with average Defense and abilities but sky-high Special stats.
