• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

I'm sure there's a thread out there somewhere like this, but I didn't see it so I shall make my own.

So it's pretty straightforward, what are some of your favorite words or phrases? Things you may like to say, things you may like to hear, etc!

Here's mine:

The whole, "I'll give him what for!" thing. I dunno, I just like that. It was also in my dream last night, even though I haven't heard the term in ages.

You know when someone's in like a space ship thingy, and they're sorta crash landing, the phrase "Coming in hot!" I like that. Couldn't tell you why.

I like the word Pendulum.

There's more, I know there are...if I think of them, I'll post them...

Oh, and not that it's exactly the same thing, but I'll mention it anyway, the name "Thaddeus" is awesome.

As far as phrases, "tickling the ivories" and the word "bully" as an exclamation.

May I ask what the heck that means? XD

Oh, I thought of a couple more.

Superfluous, don't know why though.

And not that it's really something that's said, but for the heck of it, "Redundant statement is redundant."
I actually saw a shirt that says Department of Redundancy Dept.

I want it.

I have a lot of favorite words!! Petrichor, wazopalo, and ailurophile are my top three favorites :3 And sillage.

"Mummy" (as in "are you my mummy"), "Time Lady" and "get swarmed" ("swarm" needs to be a transitive verb). I blame Moffat.
