• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

I'm a poet, too.

Curse your sudden but inevitable betrayal!
I write poetry about different things. This is one of my favorite poems that I've written.

THE FENCE
Away
A paradise in my mind
Long ago, in a time

When
I could go beyond this fence
But I cannot, not ever since

They came
And trapped me here, behind these walls
With endless hunger and grabbing claws
Their fingers raw from tearing at
The chain-link fence that holds them back
Their desperate moans in pleading tones that draw me ever closer to
The Fence

Safe
They tell us we are safe in here
But I feel it drawing ever near to

Me
Most claim their sentience is gone
But they are just wolves, gnawing on
The fragile line 'twixt life and death
And, what is in between
Something that I alone have seen
Intelligence, a tiny spark
A flickering candle in the dark
That draws me like a simple moth
Luring me closer to
The Fence

We're dead
We cannot, will not win this war
I refuse to fight it anymore
And now I know, I am sure

I'll go
They await me, the slow of though
To whom my life may count for not

I feel
The kiss of eternal sleep
Of infected teeth in my arm
As the virus starts to creep
I know that I will not be harmed
The uninfected shun me now
My undeath now belongs beyond
The Fence

I wait
For the prize so close, the human meat
I try so hard to start the breach
That will result in fresh-killed flesh
Yet, they hide behind the silver mesh

But there
A girl, with eyes full of pain
Looking out and seeking gain
Outside the fence, where we dwell
She looks at me, and I can tell
She hears my moans, in pleading tones
And she draws ever closer to
The Fence

I love zombies. XD

River
This is the river of life
Eternal spiral of flowing song
This is the place of nightmares and sorrow
Where fates are decided and death lingers, patient
This is the current of hopes and dreams and all things wonderful
Where heartbreak and hope intertwine
This is the river of life

I know that one sucked, so here's one to make up for it.
The Ox
I am society's ox
Every day, through fields of fire
Under whip of Word and burden of Expectation
I plow on, with aching bones and tired Soul
Uncared for, unfed, abandoned and forgotten
Hoping to find flowers of Kindness
With which to feed my bruised Heart
And yet, the fields in which I strain
Under the baking sun of general Hatred
Are barren and dead, devoid of life, laughter
Though I sow seeds of Acceptance
Irrigate with Normality
My crop withers in my awkward shadow
And inside, I wither alongside it
I wish for Happiness
But my bovine Soul has no more Joy or Love to give
I am society's ox
Every day, through fields of fire
Under whip of Word and burden of Expectation
I plow on, with aching bones and a tired Soul...

Untitled
The smell...
It's terrible, like death and rot
Flesh and bone and dirt
The sound...
It's horrible, moans and wails
Groans and screams and hurt
The sight...
Unbearable, the rotting flesh
The ever-hungry beasts
The feel...
Unthinkable, the agony
As on your flesh, they feast
