I'm a dirty pirate so I have no difficulties accessing my save files, but I'm pretty sure there are some kind of save backup devices for actual physical copies of the games too. I'm just not really familiar with that kind of hardware. :V
A quick google search gives me a pretty comprehensive-looking guide on backing up your save data, but that's pretty much all I can say about that. QUICKEDIT: haha pagetopper with no sprites. gj me. maybe I should try pixeling every now and then.
