Protect ~ Endure ~ accept your mortality

Zero turns to his opponent with a metallic groan. His HP is pretty low- if he had a nervous system, he'd probably be in a hell of a lot of pain right now. Either way it's clear he's not going to be hanging on much longer, and decides the best course of action is postponing the inevitable. He shrouds himself in a cloak of blue energy, daring Safetymouse to try attacking him. But the Nidoran knows his game, and won't be falling for it that easily. Patiently, she curls up on the ground and waits until the shield dissipates. Unable to maintain his invulnerability any longer, Zero gives a disgruntled groan and lets the shield vanish into the ether.

Still adamant that he will not die until he's good and ready, Zero covers his body in another shimmering energy shield, this time a pale yellow one, and focuses on defending himself from the full force of his opponent's attacks. Meanwhile, with rain still gushing down from the heavens, Safetymouse decides to make her opponent flash yellow for a whole other reason. Tilting her head towards the swirl of black clouds at the top of the volcano's spout, she lets out another shriek, and the nebulous sky flashes in response. Lightning bolts crash into the sides of the volcano, smashing loose chunks of rock, before a massive arc of lightning streaks straight down the volcano spout and slams into Zero with a tremendous BOOM, lighting up the whole volcano in a massive eruption of electricity. Amazingly, though, when the flash dies down, Zero is still standing (or floating).

Safetymouse is staggered. How could such a pathetically worn-out lump of metal withstand such an attack? Zero, however, has lost all interest in the battle. It's clear hes lost by now, so what's the point in carrying on trying? Safetymouse decides to finish off the defeatist Bronzong, again calling up to the heavens to summon down lightning to smite it with. The sky responds with another flash, and again a bolt soars down, imparting a deadly voltage into Zero. The blast sends him spinning into a wall, which he slams into, ricochets off, and smashes onto the ground, clearly not getting back up.

~ according to the attacks and abilities guide, Endure reduces damage taken rather than guarantees the user hangs on with 1HP, so I just reduced damage by a quarter and charged 1% energy for each 1% damage removed.
~ for the record, even if Zero hadn't had more than 1% health at the start of the third action, Safetymouse still would have used Thunder. I'm pretty sure Pokémon in ASB can't tell exactly how much health their opponents have.

It'd be hard to tell exactly how much health your opponent has, but telling 1% apart from, say, 11%, would be rather easy. Maybe even from closer ranges like 5% depending on interpretation.

Well, I interpreted your command as "unless Zero has exactly 1% health left, use Thunder", so unless Safetymouse could be certain that was all he had left she'd default to Thunder. It's kind of a moot point anyway, since Pusruit would have taken Zero down as well.

Yes, but, Thundering away at something that I could kill with a Pursuit is a big waste of energy. But, as you've said, this is a moot point.

So, Safetymouse, for this time around, you're holding the short stick of the speed order. So, if we're to gain an edge in this match, we'll have to find ways to work around it when needed. And on this first strike, it sure is needed.

Apparently, the Dream World somehow lets Nidoran females have Sucker Punch, so, we could run with that. I don't know if you can pull this off, but if you can, combine said Sucker Punch with Attract if you can tell you're about to be attacked in the first action; if you're not about to be attacked, or can't pull that off, a simple Attract will do.

In case that needs an explanation, a combination of Sucker Punch and Attract would consist of employing Sucker Punch not really as an offensive attack, but rather, as a means of interrupting the incoming attack, which should open room for seduction.

If the combo went through, follow it up with Captivate. Otherwise, I'm assuimg you'll have used Attract; follow it with Flatter, and finish with Captivate anyway. If you've failed to Attract him, however, try it until it sticks, and carry Flatter over if possible.

Sucker Punch + Attract / Attract ~ Captivate/Flatter/Attract ~ Captivate/Attract/Flatter

Hm, since none of these moves she's been commanded to use do damage and you're faster than her, I think it's doppelganger time.

Start with a Substitute, as small as you can make it. Follow up with a Lovely Kiss, and if that works try using Super Fang.

Substitute (5%) ~ Lovely Kiss ~ Super Fang/Lovely Kiss

Recalling his fainted Bronzong, Kam swipes his second and final Pokéball from his belt. Rather appropriately, it contains a male Nidoran, and he throws the ball to the ground and lets out the horned purple rabbit in a flash of red light. After adjusting to the sweltering volcanic heat, he sizes up his opponent; she seems a little roughed up already, so this shouldn't be too tough.

Substitute (5%) ~ Lovely Kiss ~ Super Fang/Lovely Kiss

The slightly nimbler Dangermouse makes the first move, and decides to postpone the danger for a while; for now, he's going to play defensively. Closing his eyes, he summons his inner life force, which appears as a small, glowing sphere that floats in the air in front of him. With a bright flash, it turns into a crude representation of a Nidoran♂, and drops onto the floor where it stands almost motionless. Safetymouse watches this in awe, realising she can't tell which of the entities before her is the true Dangermouse. Regardless she has to work her feminine charms on one of them, so she arbitrarily chooses a Dangermouse and struts up to it seductively. She leans her body into its flank, and whispers sweet nothings into its ear. However, none of this provokes a reaction, and she strides back to her side of the arena blushing furiously in anger and humiliation.

Dangermouse smirks at his opponent. If she's going to try and flirt her way to victory, I have a few of those tricks up my sleeve too, he thinks as he licks his lips, coating them in a poison secreted from his mouth. He hops over to Safetymouse playfully, and she recoils, expecting some sort of attack; but before she can get away, he catches up to her, puckers his lips, and presses them against hers. Half-surprised and half-horrified, she struggles wildly until Dangermouse pulls his mouth away, and scurries as far away from him as possible, completely traumatised. She instinctively begins wiping her mouth to erase all traces of the kiss, but as she does so she begins to feel light-headed. The chemical sedative Dangermouse put into his saliva hits her system, and she collapses to the ground in a deep sleep.

Now his opponent is out of action, Dangermouse can have his evil way with her- oh god, not like that. He trots up to her, his incisors bared as they begin to grow brightly with white energy. The glowing becomes brighter and brighter, seemingly making his teeth extend every second the energy charges, until eventually he can contain the power no more. He swings his head down and savagely bites Safetymouse in the neck with a tremendous flash of yellow light. Even in her sleep, Safetymouse cries out and writhes in agony as he bites into her, and her eyelids flicker before closing tight again. Releasing his jaws, Dangermouse wanders away and collapses onto his side for a breather; an attack that strong really sapped his energy.

Hm... you have a sub, so just chill on the first action. After that... hm, you learn Confusion through breeding somehow, so use that twice. Unless she tries a Sucker Punch (in which case, Flatter).

If she uses Attract and you are infatuated, Captivate.

Not many options beyond Sleep Talking and praying it helps. If you wake up, Double-Edge the Substitute if it's still standing, and if it isn't, return the favor with Super Fang.

Not having bothered to get up to listen to his orders, Dangermouse is happy to hear they entail more slumping around on the floor. Closing his eyes, he begins to nap quietly and regain some energy. Safetymouse, meanwhile, is being far more active, even while fast asleep. Her legs begin to twitch as she mutters incoherently, before she climbs to her feet, eyes still shut tight, and wanders slowly over to Dangermouse's subsitute. Raising her front paws, she deals two weak scratches to it with her claws before immediately collapsing back onto her side and continuing to doze.

Finishing his nap, Dangermouse lazily drags himself upright, yawns, and prepares to continue making life difficult for Safetymouse. Using his weak psychic powers, he taps into the female Nidoran's head, and begins to attack her nerves and pain receptors, forcing them to pump as much agony as they can into the little hamster thing. She gives a light moan as her limbs begin to twist and convulse independently of her control until Dangermouse is satisfied he's done enough disfigurement and leaves her alone. To his surprise, however, she doesn't stop moving there; again, she climbs to her feet, apparently still fast asleep, and meanders slowly over to his substitute. She turns around and waves her hindquarters at it; whatever she was trying to accomplish, the substitute seems unfazed, and Safetymouse again curls up on the floor and resumes quietly napping.

Considerably puzzled by what he just witnessed, Dangermouse decides to ignore it and just put Safetymouse through some more mental trauma. Again, he screws with her brain, setting off her pain sensors and generally ruining her sleep. After releasing her, he waits to see if she goes for any more somnambulistic wanderings; but instead, she simply stirs, and then vomits up a pool of purplish venom all over his substitute. Nice.

I tried figuring out a way out of this mess, but, there's really not much I can do beyond Sleep Talk spam when Safetymouse is asleep. I can only hope this round's moves won't suck as much the last few did.

Of course, Super Fang if awakened is a necessity.

Still slightly grossed out by Safetymouse's tendency to vomit over everything, Dangermouse still manages to bring himself to attack her. At least he doesn't actually have to get within spewing range. Again he fires up his psychic powers and hacks into Safetymouse's brain, making her flail around comically in her sleep again. When his mental control releases, Dangermouse waits to see if Safetymouse gets up to attack in her sleep again; however this time, she merely rolls onto her side, mutters to herself a little, and goes right back to sleeping.

Utterly baffled, Dangermouse decides to ignore his opponent's naptime shenanigans and concentrate on putting her to sleep for good. With one final tap into her brain, he mentally fiddles with her nervous system once again, until finally all the inadvertent movement and cerebral disturbances wrench Safetymouse out of her slumber, causing her to scream in pain as her opponent twists her muscles in ways they were never meant to bend. When he releases her, Safetymouse gives a combined yawn-snarl, gets over her post-nap sleepiness and storms over to Dangermouse to give him a taste of his own medicine. Grabbing him by the shoulders, she opens her mouth, her sharp incisors glowing brightly with energy, and savegely bites down on his back with a flash of light. She is horrified to feel Dangermouse's body snap clean in half as she sinks her teeth into it, and when the flash dies down she sees that there are, in fact, two cleanly-sheared equal halves of Nidoran in front of her. Strangely, however, there is no blood, and only when she hears a throat clearing behind her and looks around does she notice that the real Dangermouse is alive, well and in one piece, standing a few feet behind her with a smug grin plastered on his face.

She snarls again, kicking at one of the halves of the substitute she bit apart in her anger. How could she mistake that thing for a real Pokémon? Sure, she was half asleep, but still! Nevertheless, she puts the petty failure out of her mind; punishing herself for silly failures isn't going to help her beat this jerk, after all. With the substitute cracked in two, the real Dangermouse should be easy to tell apart from his bodyguard, and he doesn't seem to be doing anything anyway. The perfect time to strike! Opening her jaws wide again, she begins to charging more power in her teeth, but as she does so, she notices her target is nowhere to be seen. She looks frantically left and right, trying to locate the errant Nidoran; she can't enact delicious revenge on an opponent she can't find! Suddenly, she feels a tap on her shoulder. Instinctively, she whips her head round to the source of the tap, and catches a half-second glimpse of her quarry before he rams his horn into her side with all the force he can muster. Safetymouse squeals in terror as the slam sends her spinning end over end to the floor, rolling across the rocky surface of the volcano pit and eventually slamming face first into the wall. For a few moments, she lies completely still where she lands, while Kam smirks victoriously at his opponent. Just as the referee is about to disqualify Safetymouse, the battered little rodent stirs, forcing herself onto her feet and staggering forward a few steps. Kam's smile fades slightly as Metallica Fanboy's grows; he urges his Pokémon on as again she opens her mouth, and her teeth glint with energy. The bright light in her mouth shines brighter and brighter, but soon begins to fizzle out as her eyelids droop. Eventually she can take no more, and gives up the ghost, collapsing back to the ground as the referee gives a blast of his whistle and Dangermouse's bisected substitute disappears into the ether. Both Pokémon are withdrawn, and the trainers exchange handshakes before the whole arena begins to shake violently and the league Gliscor glide down the spout to take the trio to safety. Assuming they can fly faster than rising magma, of course.
