• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Beware of your steps in Lavender Town

"Beware of your steps in Lavender Town"
written by yours truly, Grim

" There once was a town called Lavender
out of the way for the usual traveller
where hushed souls weep
And grinning dancing shadows creep

Beware of your steps in Lavender Town
within the mourning tune you'll drown

Brooding over this somber settlement lies a Tower
which resonates an old forlorn morbid power
resting housed within are Pokemon deceased
their souls in subtle silence long to be released

Beware of your steps in Lavender Town
where guests are met with frigid frowns
Beware of your steps in Lavender Town
within the mourning tune... we drown "

Side Note:
I hope you all enjoy this, for I have several more I am working on. If you enjoyed this and would like for me to post some more, please let me know and I'll happily finish the ones I am working on and post them here for your entertainment. ^_^

Oh, this is nice! I love stuff about Lavender Town! ^ . ^

I just wish it was a bit longer, tho.

Yea I would have written more but I couldn't really think of what else to say about Lavender Town and this was my first attempt at writing Pokemon Poetry haha. I'm not a poet by any means, but Lavender Town truly scared me when I younger and playing my Blue version and it is the only town I have ever purposefully tried to avoid in any of the games. It made an impression on me as a kid, as I'm sure it did with many others out there and that is what I was trying to convey with this poem really. I have just completed another poem which is a bit longer then this one. Might post it up on here if you all like this one, for I'm doing these for your entertainment and they are fun to do haha.

The first part sounds weird, but otherwise it's sort of good. Feels a bit... like Lovecraft's style of writing.

Yea although I didn't base it on Lovecraft, I can totally see where it might inspire that sort of feel to it. The first part has a reference in it haha.
