Anyway, my appendage-less destroyer, I think you ought to throw Ed around a bit more. Not because we care at all for him or his fate, but because the more contact he makes with the walls of Negrek's blood vessels, the better. So you know what to do - make it happen!

So. There's the Battle for Asber currently going on, meteors destroying things all over the place, the tournament stepping up, and all sorts of interesting things happening in Asber right now. Things must be getting really tough on Negrek!

Let's irritate Negrek even more, by having a metronome battle in neg's body. Everyone will be shrunken down my minimize magic, and teleported into neg's veins (or something) using a similar method. Energy will be kept permanently at 100%, so there's only one way for this battle to end; with the complete explosion of our head referee. Seems like a great idea, right???

Mewtwo will certainly be pleased, not like they're going to stay conscious enough to celebrate long. Once Negrek is sufficently dead, the battle will move onto neg's corpse and the blood-jars made of rebels.

The start of Round Two finds Luv Muffin shaking his snout back and forth once again. Obviously, the Luvdisc is hoping to be able to use an incredibly destructive and powerful attack, but instead he shortly begins to feel a relaxing sensation instead. The refreshing wave of feeling that washes over the love fish erases any bad feelings of poison, burn, paralysis and even confusion – except that Luv Muffin doesn’t have any of those. Instead, he just experiences a momentary nice feeling, And that makes him somewhat disappointed. He wanted revenge.

Sparky ignores his opponent, wiggling his barbels just as Luv Muffin wiggled his mouth. It doesn’t take long before the Metronome produces fruit, and the Magikarp begins to swim toward Ed’Rashtekaresket. Slowly, as he gets closer, he opens up his mouth, revealing gigantic teeth no one knew he had – and that he wouldn’t have any more as soon as this attack was over. Finally, Sparky chomps down on his foe’s dorsal fin, and disables some defensive nerves in that part of Ed’s body. As Ed shakes the Magikarp off, dealing damage with its rough skin, he scowls and begins to wave his other fin back and forth this time.

Before long, Ed has succeeded in summoning an attack. And it’s one that’s familiar to him, too. Happily, knowing this will be effective, he opens his mouth wide and releases some Ice-type energy. As soon as he does so, the energy begins to continually multiply, and soon a huge blizzard is swirling around the blood vessel. Everything gets frozen over, coated with a fresh coat of ice – the pokemon, the blood cells and the walls of the blood vessel, all of it. By the time the Sharpedo is finished, he’s quite confident in his attack.

Cersei shivers as she breaks out of the thin ice coating around her body. Ice and bees do not go well together, and that was a horrible experience for her. As she uses Metronome, she vows to get Ed back for that blow. And when she receives the results of her wing-wobbling, she smiles evilly. Quickly, she begins to absorb electricity. Steadily, sparks begin to surround her and soon she’s completely enveloped in an electrical aura. And then…she begins to fly, as fast as she can, straight at Ed. The Sharpedo is unable to dodge the powerful attack, and sparks go flying everywhere as she makes impact with the shark. Superbird looks around and sees burns on the side of the artery. Wonderful progress they’re making, he figures.

Luv Muffin smiles as she sees her opponent get hopelessly electrocuted. All the better that she didn’t have to do it, she thinks – she hates doing that kind of stuff anyway. But as usual, she starts to empathize with her shark opponent – that was a tad mean of Cersei, she thinks. So she soon begins to use Metronome, and soon after that she opens her mouth to release her attack. Out of it pours a toxic purple gas, which floats quickly toward Cersei. Before the Combee has a chance to blow the Poison Gas away she unfortunately breathes some in; and even just a little bit is enough to seep into every cell in her body and begin to poison her from the inside.

As usual, Sparky is only barely aware of his opponents’ doings, and is instead concentrating on performing another attack of his own. He figures he better experience them all now, because he won’t have a chance to later before he’s evolved. It only takes a few moments before he is able to execute another attack, one that he’s always wanted to experience. Out of nowhere, white glowing wings appear in place of his fins, and he begins to fly straight ahead. Mid-way across the arena, he tilts and begins to target Ed, finishing by conking the Sharpedo’s head with his new temporary wings. The damage from the Sharpedo’s skin makes them disintegrate, though, and soon Sparky is just a normal Magikarp once more.

Ed’Rashtekaresket scowls at Sparky as he begins his own Metronome attack. That little Magikarp is starting to become a nuisance to him – but not as much as that darn Combee and her Bolt Strikes that hurt like heck. He shudders in a brief fit of rage, and soon begins to mutter some strange, ancient chants. Thanks to the knowledge granted to him by the powers of Metronome, he recites an old curse meant to make him stronger at a small price. By the time the ritual is over, the Sharpedo’s skin is almost twice as hard, and his jaws are much sharper.

This action, Cersei has stayed mostly out of trouble, and she’s thankful for that. She uses Metronome once more, and this time she gets a gut feeling that her results will be excessively favorable. She smiles, and her eyes open wide as she realizes the power that she now has. And like any good pokemon would, she releases it immediately. As the arena travels through Negrek’s leg vein, Cersei gives a yelp and begins to glow with a brownish aura. Almost immediately, a crack becomes visible in the platform of blood cells, which only narrowly misses Sparky. However, part of the platform is cut off, and begins to fall out of Negrek’s body as the Fissure cuts through neg’s leg’s bone and skin. Superbird immediately puts his Xatu and Galvantula to work wrangling up another red blood cell to repair the battle arena.

Luv Muffin watches Cersei’s performance in awe. If he can do that too, his trainer will be so proud of him! But despite what Kusari thinks, he also thinks tearing up Negrek’s body just for the fun of it is a horrible thing to do. In revenge for the lord of Asber’s leg, he makes up his mind to attack Cersei next as he begins to use Metronome. Soon, he’s grinning as his snout begins to grow, and grow, and grow, until it is a huge drill. Then, without pausing, the drill begins to spin quickly. It launches itself at Cersei, and the Combee only has mere seconds to fly out of the way. That’s not enough, unfortunately for the little bee, and she fails to avoid her second face being pierced through by the Horn Drill attack. Mai wastes no time in recalling her combee right that second as Luv Muffin turns back into a normal Luvdisc and floats back to his original spot, smiling smugly. Mission accomplished.

Ed’Rashtekaresket watches from behind a translucent green shield. He had used metronome earlier this round, and had gotten Protect to show for it – a maneuver he only began to use when Luv Muffin turned into a giant horn. While Sparky uses a Metronome of his own, Ed decides not to let the shield down quite yet; his remaining opponent may have something in store for him and he doesn’t want to get hit by it. He’s taken quite enough damage this round.

But in reality, Sparky acts harmless. A few moments after his initial use of Metronome, his body begins to grow metallic, and then begins to turn into a mirror. Luv Muffin glows bluish, and suddenly from it emerges a bright blue beam which rockets back into Sparky’s body. The Magikarp’s metallic covering disappears, and his type is altered to match that of his opponent – or at least, it would have been had he not been the same type anyway. Ed lets down his Protect quickly after that, somewhat displeased with Sparky’s last action.

... unless you mean you believe in victory over killing Negrek. That would be acceptable. Since we're all probably capable of swimming over fissures, and sheer cold in a fast-moving liquid would be a bit confusing, let's go with spamming horn drills!

If Negrek bleeds out, it's not unlikely that she will have already been doomed over four minutes before she actually dies :D

Luv Muffin smiles as the round starts. He feels like he’s about to have some very good luck, so he goes ahead and wiggles his nose without delay. When he receives the mystical power of a legendary move, his eyes narrow. Sparky has been annoying for a while, and Luv Muffin somehow feels violent today. So he opens his mouth and harnesses the power of the mighty Time Lord Dialga, letting loose a gigantic roar that rips through time. The horrible sound is focused on Sparky, and with its horrible noise horrible Magikarp memories begin to flow through the fish’s head, along with very powerful Dragon-type energy.

By the time the sound has died out, Sparky has a rather horrible hangover. He decides to test his luck once more, in hopes that he can repay Luv Muffin for that absolutely wonderful display. He also notes that the heart-shaped fish looks kind of like a snivy at the moment. Clearing his mind, Sparky wiggles his barbels, and is soon left smiling in satisfaction. He closes his eyes and recalls the recent memory of Luv Muffin’s catastrophic attack. For some reason, he now feels like he can do it himself, and decides to try it. Immediately, Sparky’s Copycat turns out to be a huge success, and his own Roar of Time has just as strong an effect as the one used on him. Revenge, at its finest, he thinks.

Ed, miraculously unharmed by the Roars of Time, is busy worrying when Dialga is going to appear and kill them all for damaging the Space-time continuum. He shakes his head as the second Roar of Time finishes, and begins to use Metronome instead. Only seconds have passed before the Sharpedo finds itself up in the air – or at least, near the top of the blood vessel. If nothing elses, he figures, it makes a good vantage point for an attack. So he begins a swoop downwards, aiming at Sparky and grinning confidently…until the Magikarp moves two inches to the right and Ed barrels right past the red fish.

With that, it’s Luv Muffin’s turn again. The Luvdisc’s conscience catches up to him once again as he swims over to Ed’Rashtekaresket, about to comfort the shark for its epic failure. But instead, at the last moment, Metronome gives it an idea. Instead of comfortingly stroking Ed with his fin, Luv Muffin grabs the Sharpedo and squeezes as hard as he can. Ed, caught completely off-guard by the sudden attack, begins to struggle sharply, but not before Luv Muffin has squeezed a little of his health away.

Sparky watches the exchange and gives a slight chuckle. Now Ed’s efforts are likely to be focused on that Luvdisc, so he’s probably safe for now. But then again, Ed is the weaker one, easier to take out…Eventually, as he begins to use Metronome, Sparky decides to attack Ed with whatever he gets. A mere second later, his eyes widen. What luck he has gotten! But his attack will take a while; and in the meantime, Ed, unaware of Sparky’s malicious intent, is busy opening his mouth wide and shooting several barrages of spikes at Luv Muffin. The Luvdisc huddles away, emitting a soft yelp every now and then. There, that’s what the thing gets.

And only then is Sparky’s attack completed. Negrek’s body begins to shake. Everyone suddenly stops and looks in the direction they assume to be upwards, except Sparky who just hums to himself. The rumbling continues, until it’s clear to most of the battlers that they’re shockwaves. Superbird is the first one to react, yelling “Hit the dirt!” as he calls out his Xatu to use Protect on himself. Kusari and Mawile react similarly, both being close enough to their pokemon to capture them within the green globe. Windyragon, however, doesn’t have enough time to get close to Ed. She crosses her fingers as he sends out Taggerung to protect herself, hoping her Sharpedo will be able to get through this.

What happens next isn’t entirely clear. There is a large explosion, and the next thing anyone knows, everyone’s fine and standing at full size on top of Negrek’s burnt corpse, in the ruins of neg’s ruined, exploded mansion. Ed’Rashtekaresket is badly singed, giving a single comedic cough before shaking his head angrily at Sparky.

The battle continues then, when Luv Muffin uses Metronome once again. And once more he ends up smiling with the happiness of having gotten a powerful attack out of the RNGods. And it’s one he’s familiar with this time, too. He opens his mouth, not needing much preparation, and takes aim at Sparky, letting loose a gigantic stream of water. Despite the Magikarp’s resistance, its poor swimming skills take it nowhere in the midst of the Hydro Pump, and when Luv Muffin ends it it’s clearly the one feeling superior.

Well, Sparky can’t just let Luv Muffin get away with that, can he? No, he can’t. He makes a short prayer to the RNGods again, and then uses Metronome one more time. It takes a few moments for the thoughts to collect in his head, but as soon as they do he swims forward and then swipes his tail in front of him. From its edge spawns a fast-moving blade of psychic energy that rips through the air all the way until it collides with Luv Muffin. The Luvdisc shakes his head. The ground is now evened out.

Finally, it’s Ed’s turn once again. The Sharpedo is glad for a breather this action, and uses Metronome tiredly this time. However, he’s dissatisfied with the results he’s given; it would have come in much more handy one action ago. But why waste it? In response to the Metronome’s calling, Ed begins to gather what little remains of his consciousness, and condense it outside of its body into a little green and white dragon thingy. By the time the Substitute has been crafted he’s having trouble floating in the air, but at least now he has protection and at least he’s still standing, as it were.

More interesting than space pebbles puncturing Negrek's skin and doing things I guess, but... we're not in the bloodstream anymore? We're all fish!

I'm okay with Negrek getting killed by a magikarp, I guess, but it would have been better if Luv Muffin managed it. Of course, now that Sparky's proven himself over Negrek, we've got to prove ourselves over her killer.

Get on it, Luv Muffin! And make sure to defeat Ed on the way!
