Arena: An Extremely Large Cup of Double Bergamont Earl Grey with Honey

After a rather salty battle, Crazy Linoone and the Riolu-turned-pony referee decided that they would like to have a salt-less rest, thank you very much. To relax their tired bodies and get the hell away from the salt, Crazy Linoone prepared another Extremely Large Cup of tea, which hopefully will not get salted this time.

Like last time, the cup in question is, yes, extremely large -- two Wailords long in diameter at its largest and one and a half Wailords deep. So, yes, you actually can battle with a Wailord in this arena, the only problem being that it'll be hard for a Wailord to maneuver in here. The tea cup is a regular shaped tea cup, which means that it's wider on top than on the bottom, with a curved, porcelain handle coming out from one side. Made from white porcelain, the tea cup has been strengthened with a secret formula so that it will not break even under the most powerful attacks.

Instead of Mint Tea, the cup is filled to the rim with delicious, freshly brewed Earl Grey tea, made from the highest quality tea leaves Linoone could get its paws on after Negrek blew apart Asber for some reconstruction. The fragrance of bergamont oil permeates throughout the arena, the tea is soothing and delicious; whatever pokemon that decides to take an action and drink it will regain 10% health. However, because of the sheer awesomeness of battling in tea, and the sugar high induced by the honey, all attacks deal an extra 2% damage without extra energy costs.

Because it's tea instead of regular water, electricity conducts as well as it does in air.

Some tea-cods have found their way to this cup. They're regular cod-sized, about 1.5 meters long, and don't do anything, although they all seemed to be wearing tiny top hats and monocles for some reason.

Other: All pokemon that cannot breath underwater will get a air bubble mask over their face that gives them air to prevent drowning at a cost of -1 speed.

:D!

*Dons own top hat and sets up anti-salt-sentries... totally a thing*

Hmmmm... I think my lovely water fox will enjoy gratuitous quantities of tea, so first up, Tiamat~

...*puts a monocle on her*

Yay, Blazhy! Have some tea before Mike comes and salts it. You too, Dwagie.

*builds anti-salt fence*

Well, since evolution would be nice, let's go, Not a Creeper! Your pokedex entry says that you live underwater, so you probably won't need the air bubble, but it's not like it would do anything to your already super-slow speed.

*puts a top hat on him for good measure*

Uh, crap, attacks, right.

Sink to the bottom of the cup (since you can't swim anyway), and, while you're doing so...

Let's start with a Stockpile (10%) for the nice defense boost, then a Substitute (15%). End with a Giga Drain (energy) for the lulz. If the vaporeon Protects/Dectects/can't be hit on the last action, use another Stockpile(10%) instead. Being at the bottom of the cup should make Hail useless, if that vaporeon were to use that move, and thus we'll be saved from 100 accuracy Blizzards.

Stockpile (10%) ~ Substitute (15%) ~ Giga Drain (Energy)/Stockpile(10%)

Delicious~ And un-salted~ Ah yes, my favourite, simply lovely, many thanks Linoonie. <3

So, Ahem.. Tiamat... You should try some too, you know. In fact.. I think Creeper over there is putting together a lovely blend, perhaps you'd like to try it.. in fact, I know you do.. Snatch it.

Now, the poor dear may get a bit miffed and try to throw his dolls at you, maybe you should remind him that it's all a friendly game with a little playful Taunt~

Now, that may or may not go over well, the dear may well start fuming at you - highly confused to boot - but no worries, it'll all become clear by now. In the mean time, just keep your cool, cause you know you've got it, with a Calm Mind.

Snatch ~ Taunt ~ Calm Mind

Crazy Linoone’s unnatural obsession with food still burns strong, but we wouldn’t have it any other way. This arena had been battled on before, but the results were… less than wholesome. The giant cup of tea had been given more than enough time to recuperate, however, and Linoone decided to return for another round of chaos, this time with the goodness of Earl Grey. Dragged along with her were another trainer, DJ P0N-3, and some hulking metallic dragon who was apparently the referee. Linoone gave the air a whiff and announced that the tea was nice and unsalty; the dragon, who had dunked her head in the cup and was swallowing greedily, confirmed the fact.

The trainers practically had to drag the referee onto her platform, so occupied she was with the tea. She grudgingly obliged after a fair bit of struggling, though she made sure to scoop some tea into a thermos she produced from a void created by her infamous ninjatoes. As the dragon sipped her tea, she waved her tail at DJ P0N-3 to send out her Pokemon.

The red beam issuing from the trainer’s Pokeball writhed uncertainly before settling into a vaguely canine shape; the beam solidified to reveal a blue dog-like Pokemon adorned with fins. Tiamat the Vaporeon paddled in one spot, looking less happy than she should (it’s not just water, it’s tea why aren’t you happy). An oxygen mask surrounded her face. In response, Linoone sent out Not a Creeper, her Lileep; the referee’s head perked up at the mention of one of her favourite Asber Pokemon. Without solid ground, Not a Creeper promptly sank to the bottom of the cup, where he peered up at his opponent. Fully-evolved not-cute accusing-him-of-being-a-creeper thing. A dangerous, righteous rage began to boil in the pits of his stomach.

Not a Creeper was content to stay at the bottom of the cup and steel himself a bit. No need to meet up with that disagreeable adult, there. The Lileep waved his tentacles idly as he began to convert energy into a more usable form, pumping it into his muscles where they would be at his disposal in an instant. His body glowed faintly as the energy began to fortify his defenses – and then a dark tendril lanced through the murky tea, wrapped around him, and absorbed the Stockpile he had just barely finished. Not a Creeper lashed his tentacles in agitation as Tiamat gave a barking laugh. The thieving tendril returned to the Vaporeon and she absorbed the stolen goodies greedily.

Quite miffed now, Not a Creeper decided to throw up a defense so that nasty Vaporeon couldn’t get at him. They always seemed to be after him, like he was some disgusting criminal… Even as he gathered tea leaves to make a bodyguard, however, he heard Tiamat shout at him. Something about babies and policemen. Luckily for the Lileep, waves of tea kept slapping Tiamat’s muzzle, and the Vaporeon, weirdly unaccustomed to the water, ended up producing little more than bubbles.

It took a while to gather the materials, anchored as Not a Creeper was to his place, but eventually he managed to form a crude Lileep shape with tea leaves and a compressed water core. Carefully, Not a Creeper took it in his tentacles in an awkward hug; when he drew back, the structure sprang to life, infused by life energy pulsing from the creator’s tentacles.

Tiamat took a while to clear her nose and eyes of tea. She was highly irritated at her failure to Taunt her opponent – really, it was harder to fail than not to – but she decided not to let her anger get to her head. Instead, she closed her eyes and cleared her mind, doing her best to ignore the tea slapping at her face. It was too early in the battle to despair. She had this. Gradually, her mental prowess heightened and her defenses strengthened.

Meanwhile, at the bottom of the cup, Not a Creeper decided it was finally time to battle. He pointed all of his tentacles at his opponent, the point at which the tentacles met glowing a deep green. The Vaporeon was surrounded by the same glow, and her paddling faltered as a sudden fatigue gripped her. Orbs of energy separated from Tiamat’s skin and floated back to Not a Creeper, who eyed them critically – surely his attack should’ve been more effective? The Lileep looked back at his opponent – or what was visible of her, which were her madly-paddling back legs. To his surprise, they had transformed completely. Instead of blue and graceful, they were now somewhat stubby and furred. Zora the Zorua stuck her face into the tea and sneered at her opponent. Though annoyed at having been tricked so easily, Not a Creeper felt his demeanor soften as he was confronted by a small, cute, innocent Pokemon. His tentacles wiggled in anticipation.

Final notes
DJ P0N-3 attacks first next round.
I debated whether I should give Zora an oxygen mask or not, but it would be awkward to give her a mask in the middle of a round, and it didn’t really affect anything anyway, so.
Taunt missed.

Well this is long overdue, but...!

DJ P0N-3 is DQ'd and Crazy Linoone is the winner. Both Not a Creeper and Zora get 1 EXP. Linoone gets $8. I get $5.
