Round six

Shinigami wearily eyes the two Mankeys, not liking the menacing looks he's getting from them. He's finding it impossible not show his weakened condition; he's just so horribly tired. Drawing a deep breath, the Riolu grimly summons up his dwindling energy and launches himself towards the Mankey nearest to him. To his relief, his outstretched fist makes contact with real fur, and the shocked looking copy beside its creator immediately disperses. TMCM screeches in pain and tries to shield his face against the unexpected onslaught. When Shinigami relents, TMCM looks at him warily, his fur bristling with indignation.
TMCM looks to be in bad shape from the repeated pummelling, and he visibly winces from each movement. Bracing himself, he charges forward, and deals another swift blow to Shinigami’s chest. The Riolu utters a feeble whimper, and collapses after being struck, unable to muster up the strength to keep himself from falling.

The two weary battlers take a moment to regain their bearings, both of them panting heavily and looking the worse for wear. While Shinigami returns to his feet with agonising slowness, TMCM is left hunched over, his ears and tail drooping, as he carefully stretches out his aching muscles.
When TMCM returns his gaze to his opponent, he is unpleasantly surprised to see Shinigami launch himself towards him yet again. The Riolu definitely seems to be on his last legs, but he manages to summon up his last remaining dregs of energy to get himself moving.
TMCM scrambles to brace himself against the incoming charge, shielding his face and looking grimly determined. Shin pulls back his fists and manages a weak sounding battle cry as he unleashes another vicious strike at TMCM, channelling his desperation and pain into one powerful attack. A strangled cry of pain escapes the battered looking Mankey as he falls to the ground from the force, landing in an undignified heap. Groaning and grumbling, TMCM gingerly gets to his feet, glaring over at his opponent as he struggles forward. However, he pauses in his tracks as he sees Shinigami wavering on his feet, looking completely out of it. The Riolu struggles to keep his balance, but the last two moves have left him completely and utterly drained, and he simply tumbles to the ground with a muffled woof.
As the referee signals that Shinigami is unable to battle further, TMCM manages a weak fist pump upon realising his victory.

Sending out Shadespire. Use Psychic. Psych Up if the monkey Endures or Protects.

Psychic/ Psych Up~ Psychic/ Psych Up~ Psychic/ Psych Up

screech twice, then hit them with a payback if you're still kicking on the last action
Screech x2 ~ Payback

After recalling his weary Riolu, syphondblade takes a moment to consider who to send in to finish off the weakened Mankey. He makes his decision; and in a flash of white light, the incorporeal form of a Haunter materializes in the clearing.
As the rush from his recent victory fades away, TMCM grumpily faces his new ghostly opponent, who simply responds with a menacing leer. Shadespire surveys his opponent's badly weakened state, and sniggers as the Mankey struggles to raise his fists. Too easy.

Round seven

Shadespire’s jagged grin grows wider as he reaches out to his opponent with his mind, attacking the Mankey’s senses with pulses of psychic energy.
TMCM cringes and shudders violently as his body is racked with pain from the mental assault, his fists flailing around uselessly. As the horrid sensation gradually fades, TMCM is left barely conscious, uttering feeble groans as he struggles to keep going.
He doesn’t manage to get to his feet this time, and is only able to prop himself up in a crouch. Luckily, his present command doesn't require any movement, and he simply voices his current discomfort at a much louder volume this time. His fur stands on end as he utters an ear-piercing screech; his tail weakly whipping at the ground as his cry continues to rise in pitch.
Shadespire’s ghastly grin turns into a scowl, and his gaseous form noticeably quivers in discomfort from the awful sound. TMCM abruptly stops his yowling before he can run out of breath, but is in no condition to relish the discomfort he caused to Shadespire. He seems barely able to retain his focus.

Welcoming the sudden silence, Shadespire begins to grin again, lazily flicking his disembodied hand in his foe’s direction. The simple gesture sends TMCM into a crumpled heap as another psychic pulse sears through his brain, racking his body with aches and pains. A muffled groan escapes the Mankey before he finally relents, unable to move his tortured muscles.
Shadespire looks on impassively as the referee once again signals that another Pokémon can no longer battle. Hopefully his next opponent will be a little quieter…

Arright Bastet, let's get going.

Use Icy Wind, then two Bites, assuming no interruptions. If he uses Hypnosis, Mimic if it misses then carry on with your actions, but if it hits, replace everything with Sleep Talk.

Icy Wind/Mimic/Sleep Talk ~ Bite/Mimic/Sleep Talk x2

After recalling his defeated Mankey, Walker is quick to send out his next fighter. He throws another pokéball and Bastet the Meowth appears in a flash of white light.
Bastet stands upright, her coin charm gleaming in the sunlight and her curled tail swishing two and fro. She purrs as she surveys her surroundings, looking indifferent to the beautiful view, before her gaze settles on her ghostly opponent. Shadespire is still feeling a bit uncomfortable after the noise he endured in the last brief round, but he manages to give his new foe a nasty glare, flexing his claws menacingly.

Round eight

Although still a little shaky, Shadespire manages to quickly begin hurling out the cruellest put downs he can think of. He insults Bastet's appearance, her battle style, her mother, her father, her long lost cousin... The poor Meowth is quickly left overwhelmed by the tirade of venom being spewed at her, and she cowers down, looking bewildered and upset.
Pleased with his work, the Haunter pauses between insults to utter a jeering laugh, rolling about in the air and pointing mockingly at the startled Meowth. Bastet’s ears and tail droop as she mewls unhappily; where on earth did this venomous outburst come from? That’s not sportsmanlike at all!
She tries to plough on nevertheless, despite snuffling a little, and takes a deep breath, before exhaling a large gust of freezing wind. Shadespire hisses as the biting cold washes over him, his gaseous form rippling as he shivers. When the brief gust passes, he’s left still quivering, with shards of ice clinging persistently at the side of his body.

Shadespire glowers at Bastet, feeling unpleasantly surprised at the power the little cat packed behind that simple breeze. Muttering a few choice obscenities to himself, he quickly twirls his gnarled hands around in circles, and then flicks a series of bright orbs towards Bastet.
The orbs flicker and pulse with an eerie light, dancing about erratically as they journey towards her. Bastet notices the lights out of the corner of her eye, and looks up from her sulking in time to see the pretty display. She frowns, blinking rapidly as the lights bob across her vision in dizzying patterns. Very pretty, but she really has other things to deal with right now…
Unfortunately, the lights don’t comply, and even when she tears her gaze away, her vision is still plagued by dancing spots of light. She paws at her eyes, irritably trying to clear them, but no dice. Shaking her head, she hisses half-heartedly at the leering Haunter, struggling to focus on her purplish foe and ignore the distractions. Her fangs drip with dark energy as she makes a leap for the spook, and she seizes his ethereal body in her jaws.
Shadespire’s eyes bug out comically as he looks down at the Meowth clinging to him with her teeth and he furiously shakes himself in an attempt to dislodge her. The Haunter’s jagged jaws gnash together in anger and pain as he weaves drunkenly in the air, before Bastet lets go and just about manages to land on her feet.
Shadespire grimaces as he rights himself again, gingerly inspecting the damage. The bottom of his form looks more ragged than usual, and strands of dark energy drip from the wound.

Bastet has no opportunity to savour her success, the lights are still doggedly pursuing her, mockingly dancing just out of reach. Finally, Bastet just can’t take it anymore; she tears her gaze away from the mean ol’ Haunter to deal with those pesky lights. Her fur stands on end as she hisses menacingly, before she abruptly jumps up at the nearest light with an angry yowl. Shadespire winces, shielding his face with his claws, but Bastet comes nowhere near him. Instead, she simply lashes out at nothing and lands in an undignified heap.
Bastet utters a pained yowl, rubbing her sore head and glaring at the evasive lights. Shadespire lets his guard drop and chuckles at the disgruntled looking Meowth, his jagged grin reappearing. He holds out a disembodied hand, and reaches out towards his foe with pulses of psychic energy. Bastet is abruptly forced back down into a crumpled heap, mewling with pain. When Shadespire relents, she is left looking very miserable, much to the Haunter’s satisfaction. Serves her right for daring to hitch a ride with her teeth!
