Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Turning Points (OOC/Signup)

Kali the Flygon

Devourer of Sandshrews
They came without warning. In an instant, everything we thought we knew about them changed. Only one thing is for sure... things will never be the same again...

--------

5:18am: Mauville police recieve a distress call - an unknown assailant has entered the estate of the richest and most famous family of Mauville, the Winstrates. The family is being held hostage. Police call into action.

5:27am: Numerous police vehicles and a SWAT team arrive at the estate, surrounding it. No signs of hostilities

5:28am: Ambush! Police come under heavy fire from... hyperbeams? Swirling dust picks up, making targeting of unknown assailants nearly impossible.

5:30am: Fighting concludes. Every police vehicle has been burnt out or torn apart. Human bodies in uniform lay incapacitated lining the estate.

5:38am: Green specks can be seen in the air above Mauville, approaching from the northeast. The number able to be counted only seems to grow.

5:42am: The city is surrounded! A practical swarm of Flygons fill the skies, disposing with ease of the Gym Leader, Wattson, and the remaining police and resistance. Pandemonium fills the streets

5:43am: Contact with Mauville from the rest of Hoenn has been severed. All is feared lost.

--------

Roughly 4 hours later, in a dark, secluded conference room, Steven, the leader of the Hoenn Government, meets with the emaining elite four. He is in shock of what just took place, as well as the fact that his own family was caught up in the event... he hasn't heard from them since.

"Well, I'm sure you are all aware of what happened this morning." Steven announced. "The entire city of Mauville has been captured... by Pokemon."

"Not just any Pokemon..." Glacia added. "The attack force seemed to be comprised almost exclusively of Flygons."

"How could this have happened?"
"Why didn't we know?"
"What could we have done?"

There was a pause, and suddenly everyone in the room seemed to be turned toward Drake, who was being as quiet as he could. While he already knew the question, Steven spoke to make it official.

"Well, Drake, you know the most about Flygons out of all of us. Why don't you give us your thoughts."

The older man sighed, shaking his head. "Flygons are amazing, intelligent creatures. My two have shown many times their curiosity and lust for learning, as well as an independence of thought. In addition, the Hoenn Desert remains one of the most elusive, least-explored regions of Hoenn. It's quite possible they had their own society hidden deep within the desert, right under our noses."

Steven groaned, pounding his fist against the table. "So what can we do now? It's too late to wonder what could have been. We have a situation on our hands. This is far worse than letting those two criminal groups, Aqua and Magma, run amok."

Sidney grunted. "Well it's obvious! We need to go in and crush this resistance, to put these beasts back in their place. This is our world, and there is no room for compromise on that fact."

"Are you crazy?" Phoebe yapped back. "Just think of how many lives that would be lost, on both sides! We need to know their plans and know what's happening in Mauville. I propose an intelligence mission, to return communications to Mauville.

"Sidney's right about one thing." Glacia responded. "This is about our species, our way of life. We cannot afford to waste any time in preparing and mobilizing our forces. But we need to be focused on preventing the savages from spreading. Keep them contained to Mauville, and slowly march in on all sides. We can't afford to let any of the other cities share the same fate."

"Perhaps, or perhaps domination is not their primary objective." Drake responded. "In either event, we need to produce a dialog, talk with the Flygons, see what they want with us. At the very least, we can stall until we are better prepared."

"All very good suggestions, and all very much needed." Steven finally decided. "Sidney and Glacia, gather and prepare our forces. Glacia will lead the defense efforts in Slateport, Lilycove, and Lavaridge, while Sidney will prepare a strike force to be launched at Mauville when the time comes. Phoebe and Drake, you'll be in charge of our communications and intelligence - Drake our overt and Phoebe our covert operations. Now go, assemble your teams. We don't have any time to waste." The meeting concluded, and the 5 individuals went off to begin their plans.

As soon as he returned to his own area, Sidney began with a conference call. "Archie, Maxie, I have a proposal that might perk your interest..."

--------

Meanwhile, in Mauville, tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of people littered the streets, a far cry from just hours ago. Nestled amongst the populace were thousands of Flygons as well. Thousands more Flygons sat on the various city buildings, or continued to swarm through the air, watching from above. At the apex, a large Flygon, standing atop the former Pokemon Gym and donned in iron armor plating, roared out to the public, oddly enough speaking in English. While humans could not speak or understand the Flygons' native language, the converse was not true, and in fact most of the attacking force knew some English.

"Welcome, peoples of Mauville," the Flygon spoke. "I am governor Tarenko Shadiya, leader of these expeditionary forces. I first wish to assure you that we mean no harm to anyone who does not fight back."

"Today marks a turning point in the relations between humans and Flygons. Until now, we have lived mostly separate lives. A few humans have come into the desert and found themselves living in our world, and a few Flygons find themselves living in your world. In neither case were either looked on as equals, however. This is what is to change today. From now on, we will be one combined Mauville, and soon, one combines Hoenn, with equal rights for everyone of each species. This is why we will be living amongst you for the time being. We will teach you about our culture and eagerly learn about yours, in the hopes that soon, we will all come to a general understanding. Until such a time, however, we will be requiring that everyone stays put and is willing to keep an open mind."

Background:
Deep within the sweltering heat and swirling sands of the Hoenn Desert lives a nation of Flygons. While their technology is not as advanced as that of the humans outside the desert, their civilization is quite impressive, complete with buildings made of concrete and glass, an efficient government, and self-sustaining infrastructure based upon Sandshrew farming. For centuries, Flygons have patrolled the desert, keeping humans from discovering their secrets, earning the nickname, "The Spirit of the Desert". Their society has become the objects of myth, a 'mirage' of sorts. But now, with human technology racing ahead to dangerous levels, as well as the Flygons' own societal growth running low on space to expand to, the Flygons see their status quo as threatened. They suspect that it won't be long before humans finally do break through their defenses and capture their society, enslaving them all to a life of servitude, or eliminate them completely. Thus, a long-held plan was restored - a preemptive strike designed to display their own strength through a surprise attack, from which they could 'sue' for piece and integrate into human society as opposed to the alternative. They decided that they needed to fight on their own terms, rather than wait for the inevitable. And so, the events above were set into motion. Where do you place in this new world?

Name: Nischwal Nalt
Species: Vibrava
Age: 17
Group/Occupation: Flygon
Hometown:
The Hoenn Desert

Quick Bio:
Nischwal had a defective egg; he hatched several weeks after the rest of his peers, and he was rather too small. He devoloped normally enough, however, evolving into a vibrava only a bit after the rest and even catching up to them in size. However, when the time came to evolve again, he didn't. Two years after the fact, he had grown to nearly the size of a small flygon his age, but he still shows no signs of evolution.

Added Description
: Nischwal is pretty large for a vibrava, about twice the average size. He's pretty insecure about his lack of flygon-ness, but he tries not to be. He's found that he can use some moves that normally only flygon can, but he's still working on it.

Name: Neil Trevor
Species: Human
Age: 28
Group/Occupation: Pokémon Ranger
Hometown: White Forest, Unova

Quick Bio:
Born in Unova, Neil and his mother moved to Hoenn when he was nine years old. His father had been a Pokémon Ranger in Unova, and Neil seemed to inherit a knack for it. At the age of seventeen, Neil joined the Hoenn branch of the organization, and was assigned to the area around the Desert. Over the next decade, he moved up the ladder of authority at the organization's outpost, and eventually became one of the senior employees there. He's as much of an expert about the desert as anyone else, degree or no degree, and thus is a good source of information on desert lore and ecology.

Here's another;

Name:Tokine Yurimaru(If i remember correctly, that's her last name)
Species:Human
Age:16
Group/Occupacation:Trainer
Hometown:Slateport

Quick Bio:Tokine is Artemis' friend. Tokine has a power that can trap foes in a cubic cube.(If you watch Kekkaishi, then you know) She uses this oppurtunity to capture the pokemon. She owns a Male Houndour, a Female Shiny Gyrados, and a Male Sneasel.

Name: Zero

Species: Flygon

Age:15
Group/Occupation: Flygon
Hometown: Hoenn Desert
Quick Bio: Zero looks like a regular Flygon, except for his black tinted eye goggle thingies... Also, he wears a black and red bandana around his neck.

Zero is a bit of a prankster, ever since birth. His eyes were more sensitive to the sun compared to other Flygons, so he naturally developed black goggles. The bandana flew into his face during a sandstorm. He often causes trouble for others, despite his best intentions. He doesn't really care about the siege, but he thinks its fun causing chaos.

Reserve as a Flygon and a human, please~

EDIT: HUMAN SIGN-UP

Name: Alan Maxwell Hammond
Species: Human
Age: 16
Group/Occupation: Civilian
Hometown: Verdanturf
Quick Bio: Alan was a normal boy. He lived in a little one-story house right next to Rusturf tunnel with his father and Sawk, Mike. His father was a miner in Rusturf Cave, though his mother had disappeared from his life without a trace the day after he was born. Mike, though a male, pretty much raised Alan, as Mr. Hammond never really payed him much attention. At exactly 5:28 AM, Alan awoke to a deafening noise. His father had left for work early, leaving Mike and Alan alone. Alan ran to on of the windows in the living room, the one near the fireplace, and saw flashes of light. He knew exactly where it was coming from: Mauville. He had taken walks down Route 117 too many times to forget. He had always stopped by the Daycare on Mondays when he got off from his part-time job at the PokeMart to pay a visit to the old couple that ran it. He knew what he had to do.
When Mr. Hammond came home to make sure that his son was okay, as he had heard the Hyper Beams and racket coming from the opposite city, he found the house empty. Not even a note had been left. Alan and Mike had headed off towards Mauville.
