• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Transformations/Disguises Spriting Guide

Yarnchu

Yarn is comfy and easy to wear
Alright, before I begin, there are a few things I want to say:

1) This is in no way supposed to be an official guide. I made it for Celestial Blade, who wanted help with disguises(although I did a full transformation).

2) Going with number 1, this isn't an indepth guide. That means I'm not going to go step-by-step with what I did, but instead cover the important steps.

3) If you want to make a better version of this guide and post it here, then be my guest. In fact, I want you to do so, for others who want a better guide.

With that out of the way, lets start!

Step 1: Gather any sprites you need, such as those needed for pallet needs. Also, get a picture to refer to. This is so you don't get any details wrong.

Step 2: Make any scratch edits or splices to get the body correct. For disguises, you do the same thing, but to a less extreme change.

Step 3: Change the colors of the sprite to match that of the transformation/disguise. Simple enough, right?

Step 4: Make any further scratch edits for transformations if the sprite doesn't look right. For disguises, you are just making the sprite look like a person/thing, so you might not have to do this.

Step 5: Show off your sprite! Be sure to ask others for advice and criticism, because even if it looks okay, there is always room for improvement.

Really, can someone make a better guide? I suck at making them. And the reason why most of them are links: I didn't want to take up space. And if you can't figure it out, the picture is above the corresponding step, to make things a little simple.
