Anyway ech, Attract is stupid, broken, and heteronormative. Snub her right home, little guy.. besides if you're anything like my Xavier you want nothing to do with any pussy anyway. (Protect) Then show her she can't steal your heart, but you can steal everything else with a Snatch for some tasty stat ups. Finish up with a Super Fang, because pay back's a bitch and revenge won't be so sweet with a chunk of face missing.

One of the many battles in the tournament started to take course. The next matchup was between a lion and a bat, which sounds like a completely one-sided fight until you consider what the Pokémon really are like. The Litleo, after making a good show of hungrily staring at the enemy's Berry, approached, but didn't seem to be about to attack...

Instead, when she was near enough, she waved her head and said, "can you imagine if I were to lion top of you?", but there was no reaction. "I'm really feline something special coming from you." Nil. Time to bring the A-game. "You're a batman, so where's your catgirl? Hint hint: I am a feline..." Zilch. But at least, when she did that one, she noticed a flashing energy around the area of the enemy's massive ears, which was as good a cue as any stop. Although she could have just stopped earlier and spared us all.

Opening in a failure was something of a blow, of course, but the Litleo had measures to take about that. She turned away from the bat and started muttering self-encouraging things. But when she raised her head for a moment, there he was, right up on her face, and saying: "yes, yes, please keep on complimenting me". It was almost as if he had stolen the show.

Enraged by this back-and-forth behavior as far as displaying interest goes, the lion cub Pokémon readied to obtain revenge aggressively, barely stopping herself from attacking before the timing indicated by her temporary trainer. As she waited for the moment to attack, however, she left herself wide open -- Noibat swooped in again, but this time, it was to bare his sharp but small fangs, the latter part going out of the window in an instant as energetic protrusions extneded from the teeth and barely continued to fit inside the mouth. Not that this would be of concern, as those biters weren't about to remain sheathed: they were dug powerfully into the side of the Litleo.

With a cry of pure agony and a pale red glow, Aletheia's Pokémon had clearly taken massive damage. But she wasn't about to let that bring her down -- instead, she unleashed her fury by taking down the opponent, then unleashing excessive mounted punches until it got to a point that the referee had to step in urgently, ending the round right there.

Goodness me, she doesn't look happy... of course, after those pickup lines perhaps she had ought to not, so let's rub a little salt in the wounds with a nasty Taunt and stop all that trickery. Of course, she may try to snub you right back, but that's okay, if she tries to protect you out just throw up an Agility for the speed advantage.

Next up, well we have the damage lead so let's keep it. For some reason a silly looking lion cub is going to prevent you from eating your Asber-given berry, so just drop the thing and pull some Acrobatics. (I assume dropping/discarding an item is a "Free Action"?) Chuck it at her for extra effect even if it will do nothing because you don't have fling. If you can't do that, however, just fire off a Dragon Pulse. Finally, if you can't get through to her, just throw up a 15% Substitute that she can play with for awhile.

Lastly... The same lineup, assault her if you can, sub if you can't. If she tries a double-protect and you have a Sub up already then just go for the attack, not much else we can do with the command limit.

The rental Pokémon eyed each other with fierce disdain as they received their commands and prepared for a round of all-out attacks.

Although it wouldn't be so from the beginning. Litleo, for one, impatiently awaited for the enemy's move in order to attack; so did Noibat at first, but quickly noticing no defensive measures on the opposing side, he readied his move -- his gab, specifically. "Got tired of hitting on me?" he provoked. "You were sure doing pretty well! I mean, who would have ever thought of doing a line about lions while being a lion? Such a clever thing, isn't it? No, it's not. Dumbass."

Just as the bat pulled in breath for some more insults, however, the enemy was already all over him, with a flurry of slashes that he tried to stay barely out of range from -- and failed miserably at it, taking the full brunt of the enraged attack as well as a head ram right to the top of his skull, which had him stunned for a moment but not out action. He managed to flutter away for a quick breather, and then casually dropped his Berry to the ground (the wastefulness! the road pollution! the horror!) as he barrelled around the air, sending his foe for innumerous loops as he moved in and out and snuck a bunch of attacks amidst his flying manouvers.

While she couldn't jab the annoying opponent away during that attack, Litleo quickly managed to strike just as he took another break -- another heading ram, increasingly difficult to perform against a target who isn't on the ground, and to make manners worse, the bat Pokémon smarted up and took the attack with his torso, preventing another head-on collision and softening the blow somewhat. He then counterstruck by initiating another set of Acrobatics, pummeling Aletheia's rental here and there while continuing to squarely avoid any reactive attacks.

As the referee called for the end of the round, the increasingly tired lion cub Pokémon gluttonously swallowed the most part of her Oran Berry in a single bite, and shoved the rest of it in without even finishing the first bite proprely. It was ultimately a handful to chew, but at least, the snack calmed her down and gave her a little more confidence to fight... And besides, she knew perfectly well that this gross display would make her enemy's own appetite even lower.

Both Pokémon eyed the Oran Berry just sitting there on the pavement. This kind of littering would definitely reflect poorly on Asber if nothing is done about it in time... Still, neither Pokémon was in the mood to eat the thing, Litleo having just had one, and Noibat having just watched Litleo having one. Resignated, the two brought their attention back into their battle.

Litleo awaited a moment, and summarily, Noibat started on a move. He dove into a treetop, where he remained hidden for some moments while rustling the place all over. And once he was flying back out of there, he had in tow a Noivern animatron of stick and leaf. Daunted by the new foe, the lion cub Pokémon sprang into action herself, stretching her front paws and letting out a long purr, but the Substitute blocked even her visage.

Satisfied, the smaller, yet entirely live soundwave bat perched himself upside-down on a branch sticking out of the same tree. He breathed in deeply, and then, out of his massive ears, he started playing max vollume dubstep for all of Lumiose City to hear. "Sacrebleu!" screamed a local, but they were drowned out by the sound. "Damn! The Pokédex entries were righ-" said a robust wrestler in the area before toppling into the ground like a stack of bricks. And of course, his opponent lay right in the middle of it all, with a foremost front row seat for the cacophony.

Litleo tried to focus on her move, but even as she managed to lob a shot of citrus-flavored spit, the vegetable Noivern interfered -- and, lacking any veins to speak of, was entirely unaffected by the Oran-based venom. And all the while, the awful racket continued. And so, Aletheia's rental eagerly leaped forward, unleashing her rage without even giving a heads-up first. With a series of slashes and paw swipes, she took her anger out on her enemy's protector, and it felt damned good all the way up until the round was ended.

Either way, if I've ever reffed this one, it's been longer than my records are eager to account for.
- Toxic has also failed due to the Substitute.
- Frustration's base damage was 8%.

((You know I was about to complain but come to think of it you're right, Uproar IS sustained. Well damn... To be fair I've never even seen Uproar used outside laughably bad AI decisions! D: *Ahem* no matter though.

also, if I'm not mistaken Frustration should actually gain STAB due to Litleo's odd normal typing?.. In fact I might be missing some damage if you weren't applying normal STAB due to those headbutts... well nobody had ever claim I don't play fair. <u< ))

Heh heh, good boombox bat best friend. Let's finish this off with a hell of a drop. All right, first off you need to finish that track, so that turn is taken - but second turn, considering it wasn't protected against, then bring down the sky with a Draco Meteor. If, by chance, your Uproar was blocked and Litleo didn't take damage down into OHKO range, then just hit her with an Acrobatics again. And if this action would be blocked, then throw up an Agility for the big finalé and save your Draco Meteor for then. And if she some how survives both action hits then there's nothing to be done anyway but continue to drop Meteors, it'll be moot by then.

The match resumed, and Litleo awaited serenely as her foe started blasting out the wubwubwub again. "Non! This merde again!" A beleaguered local yelled out, but their voice was eaten by the noise. "Could you wait until I'm back up-" The robust wrestler requested, but they fell back down and their voice was eaten by the noise. "Rooooaaarrrrr!" The lion cub Pokémon let out, but her voice was (mostly) eaten by the noise.

Having finally ruptured enough eardrums to his content, Noibat swung himself upright into his tree perch, gingerly preparing the next attack. He waited to see if his opponent was taking defensive measures, but instead she was letting out another reverbing roar to increase the eardrum trauma count. The soundwaves did nil to the unhearing Substitute, but the large ears behind it suffered. Nonetheless, although he was just about worn out and the great finishing move would leave him moreso, the bat Pokémon finally unleashed the final move of the battle.

His boomboxer ears let out a rumbling sound, as if to evoke a dragon's scream. His entire body emitted an indigo glow that wavered in the air like a flame. In a slow and dragged-out motion, he stretched his wings back, then batted them forward. As if responding to the movement, a light tremor shook the streets of Lumiose to join the earth-pounding series that had been established earlier by the continuous soundforce attacks. And then, with a high-pitched whirring noise, a shadow blinked in the sky and steadily increased in size.

"Un oiseau?" Non. "Un avion?" Non plus. "Superman?" You wish. It was, in truth, a meteorite hurtling towards the Earth at high speeds, leaving a blue-green streak in its wake.

Litleo closed her eyes and accepted her fate. She didn't see the falling stone tear off a chunk of the top of Prism Tower, and nor did she see that coming down on her until it landed and crushed her. She was out could before the worst of the attack landed, turning a large section of the pavement in the area into a cloud of dust and a massive crater.

Asber was going to have a hard time explaining that to the Kalosian government. Starting with the Oran Berry still littering the floor...

Arena status: A massive crater lay where Litleo stood, lidded by a huge meteorite and shrouded in a cloud of dust. Cracks have spread all across the pavement nearby. A chunk of the top of Prism Tower has been broken off, and the entire tower is flashing manically. And to top it all off, there's still an Oran Berry lying on the ground.

Additional notes:
- Hyper Voice on the first action dealt less damage as Uproar disrupted it.
- Hyper Voice on the second action broke Noibat's Substitute. And then...
- Draco Meteor on the second action KO'd Litleo.
- I wish I could've gotten a Majora's Mask moon joke to work up there.
