• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

PROLOGUE

High above the Earth, in a colossal, long and pointed spacecraft, stood a creature.

Its skin was a dark green, but it was not visible to the human eye. It was hidden by a long, hooded cloak, as dark as coal. It spoke, in a deep voice that would have made anyone shudder.
"Is the device on the rocket?"
Another voice came from the shadows.
"Yes. We sent the T-157 down with one of our best pilots flying it, and about half an hour earlier we received a message that it's on the rocket and the craft is on its way back."
"Excellent." the first one replied. "Our operation has just moved one stage forward."

Chapter 1: The Invitation

It was lunch break at a primary school in London.

At one end of the smallish playground, several ten-year-old boys were playing football.

"Pass! Over here!" yelled one. He had messy blonde hair, pale skin and a strong personality. His name was Tom.

Another one, who was small, comical, had short curly hair a bit darker than Tom's and whose name was James, flicked it upwards, and Tom caught it and toe-punted it into a corner of the goal, only for the keeper to dive onto it.

"Nice try." grinned Jason, a tall, brown-haired and athletic kid. He rolled it out to another boy called Jamie who had dark brown hair, a quirky face and pale skin, who immediately kicked it at goal. It was stopped by Tom's foot, and just as he tricked Jason and put his team ahead, the bell rang for the end of play.

As they were walking back to the line, James asked the others "Were you invited to Tim's party?"

They all nodded their heads in response.

And that was the last thing they did before walking into class for two more hours of lessons.

It might seem a bit boring at first, but it improves. Trust me!
