Okay so they'll likely chill, and in that event I want you to use Focus Punch. If they protect or detect, then Chill yourself. Under all other circumstances, try using Slash!

Here is how this is gonna go. Chill twice, then use outrage, alright? I *think* Mars is weak enough that you can take him down before getting *too* confused

Arena: Mediterranian Grasslands.

The dominant grassy vegetation makes this area seem quite plain at first but upon closer examination, various scorch marks and patches of dead and damaged grass make evident the popularity of this particular grassland for Pokémon battles. The vast, open territory is cut into two main segments by a deep river which opens out in to a vast lake. In tandem, the grassy expanse and lake means all Pokémon species are comfortable battling, suffering no penalties to any move. On the other hand, the bland nature of the environment means that no Pokémon gains any extra advantages due to the terrain, either.

Round 18 Begin!

Flicker is getting exhausted by now. A little rest, she thinks, would hardly go amiss right now. That thought appeals to her more than she had anticipated, and she decides to indulge it: she lies down, curling her tail around her, and drifts off into a light sleep. Mars, meanwhile, is concentrating hard, his fist clenched tightly; he channels as much energy as he can into it, and after a few minutes he seems to have enough. He leaps up from his hunched-over position, charging towards Flicker at top speed, his fist bathed in a blinding white light. He reaches Flicker, and bringing his hand around in a tight arc he punches her as hard as he can in her side; a splintering noise is heard and her entire body is physically hurled about ten metres back, where she lands with a horrible thump and groans, trying to get back into her restful position.

Almost immediately after delivering that blow, he curls up again and begins putting more energy into his fist, all while Flicker tries to regain her rest. A good few minutes pass before, again, he dramatically jumps up and charges forward, tackling Flicker in her broken ribs before swinging his fist underneath her stomach, delivering a massive uppercut that winds her entirely, as well as picking her up and hurling her another ten-plus metres, where she lands on one leg and screeches as she seemingly twists all her joints at once.

She leaps up. By now she's becoming very angry, as it happens. With reckless abandon she channels all her fury into an attack, and her eyes suddenly gain a bright red glow; her tail flame begins to turn blue and grow larger, and then in a moment nobody seems able to quite identify, her entire body is wreathed in the blue flame. She charges at Mars, heedless to her broken rib or twisted leg, and begins pummelling him with all her strength. She claws and bites, punches and kicks, with such ferocity that the only counterattack Mars can even muster is a slash of his claws - it slices a wound into her chest, but she doesn't even seem to notice, still consumed by her rage.

Round 19 Begin!

Flicker lets out a roar, the blue flames surrounding her growing ever larger. She leaps at Mars again, her claws superheated; she slices a gash into his shoulder and then punches him in the chest, hurling him several metres back. Mars remains motionless throughout, seemingly trying to deal with the blows simply by ignoring them; Flicker charges towards him again. She plunges her claws into his chest, carving a deep wound that even scratches a rib.

It seems to be more than Mars can stand without responding: his eyes shimmer pale green, and a rush of energy hurls Flicker off of him. She lands on her back, and flips upright to charge at him again, only to find a translucent green hemisphere blocking her path. She roars again, trying to claw through it and failing; she beats on the shield for almost a minute before giving up, and simply putting her energy into the cyan flames. They completely engulf the side of the shield closest to her for fully ten seconds until, inexplicably, they begin to die down; it's thirty seconds before Flicker's form is clearly visible, and the attack has taken its toll. The red light in her eyes has completely faded, replaced with a blank emptiness; the tail flame is almost extinguished, a tiny wisp that's sputtering weakly. She collapses forward onto the shield, which promptly vanishes, leaving her to fall to the ground, completely unconscious.

Flik recalls Mars, and Nyuu recalls the motionless Flicker; the referee hands out money before sending out a Reuniclus, and the three vanish in a flash of green light, leaving the scarred land that was once a peaceful grassland.
