Russian Plane Crash Kills Former NHL Hockey Players

Eta Carinae

I really loved that farm.
So I just heard on the News in the sports section that today a plane crashed in Russia. On the plane was the Lokomotiv Yaroslavl Hockey Team of Russia's KHL. Among those on the plane were former big name players Ruslan Salei, Karlis Skrastins, and a man who played for my home team, Pavol Demitra. NHL veteran and Canadian Brad McCrimmon, the coach of the team, also died.

Only one man of the 44 on the plane survived the crash, which was apparently caused by technical problems. It now becomes the greatest disaster to ever strike the hockey world, a world which I care about greatly. Though I know few of you share my love of the sport, I hope at least you can sympathize about the tragedy. This really was unsettling.

I can't believe Rusty is gone. I played hockey for years and the Mighty Ducks were my favorite team growing up. (Guy Hebert was my inspiration as a goal tender.)

EDIT: For those of you who aren't hockey fans Ruslan "Rusty" Salei played for the Mighty Ducks of Anaheim for a long time... I think it was '96 to '05 or something.

Just realised.
"Former NHL Hockey Players" is redundant.

I wonder how the plane crashed?
I wouldn't be surprised if the engines started herpin' the derp and the plane just fell out of the sky.
