Titania grumbles in her troubled sleep. Puffs of red dust emanate from her nose, blown by snorts of her breath. Meanwhile, Rose pulls another newly grown leaf from her neck with a deft vine. Adroitly, she places the leaf at her mouth. Her bleary eyes can just make out the fuzzy outline of her audience. She strains her ears, trying to listen for the right moment to perform. Subconsciously, Titania's trainer's voice registers within the depths of her mind. With a strong breath, she expels the gas in her lungs, forcing it through her nasal cavities and resounding in a distasteful Snore. The Chikorita blows hard into her Grasswhistle but to little avail; her tiny melody cannot compete against the earblasting loudness of the Aron's snore.
Frustrated with her effort, Rose eyes Titania warily. The galumphing sound of the Aron's exhalation still faintly reverberates through her ears. Holding the leaf tighter now, she holds her instrument at the ready. Titania rolls over on her side now, revealing her belly. The Pokemon snoozes peacefully in a more relaxed pose now, regaining energy as per her trainer's command. Seeing no signs of offensive movement, Rose concentrates on the growth of her leaves. The unfurling leaves, charged with life energy, sweep through the air towards Titania. Some of them miss completely, sailing straight into the water and up the smooth sides of the red bowl. Titania winces at the blows that do hit, screwing her eyes up in her sleep.
The Aron opens one blue eye slowly, peering sleepily at the environment. Groaning, she shifts herself upwards, clambering up on her four stubby feet. Vaguely recalling her trainer's orders, the Aron takes command of the elemental energy inside her. Pulling the shards of rock from the sides of the bowl, she sets the rust-red rocks in motion, spinning dangerously around the Chikorita. The Stealth Rock startles Rose at first, but, seeing the shards revolve repeatedly in the same direction, she manages to calm herself down enough to relax. She lets her tired muscles loosen, as she sits on the dusty earth.

Climbing back onto her feet, Rose casually brushes some of the reddish dust off her belly with a vine. Sneering at her opponent, she carelessly and arrogantly struts before the Aron, a scornful look in her red eyes. She winces from the stabbing of some of the rocks as she steps around Titania. Despite these efforts, Titania does not seem to be the least bit affected. Rather, the Aron wholeheartedly glares at the ground, pawing persistently at the clay. The loose, moist soil easily gives way to her steel forelegs, but the moisture in the clay irritates her skin. The Chikorita, disappointed at her audience's lack of attention, takes another tactic- in her high-pitched, chirping voice she laughs aloud and praises herself, highfalutin, unrealistic compliments of her immense strength and beauty.
Feeling as though she were punched in the stomach, Titania's rage begins to flare up. However, she continues to dig her hole, except her actions are more furious, as if she plans to exact her revenge on the soil. The drops of water pooling beneath her feet does not help improve her mood. Glancing upwards for a moment, Titania's anger flares up again as she catches sight of the snide, self-important expression on her opponent's face. Forgetting herself for a moment, Titania scrambles up her hole, half-mad with rage. Her wild efforts only trip herself in the wet soil. Her sides start to sting, from the mud slipping through her armor.
The Chikorita smiles mischeviously to herself, pleased with her work. She extends a vine from her neck, scooping up a small amount of the wet dirt near the sides of the pool. Her eyes, although still stinging from dirt, can still see the gray form of the Aron, in stark contrast to the rust-red dirt surrounding her. Rose vengefully flings the mud into Titania's face. She immediately retracts her vine after the effort, feeling another stinging pain from the Stealth Rock around her. The Aron yelps in surprise and pain, screwing up her eyes. The wet, slimy sensation of mud sliding down her face disorients and further infuriates the Aron. She awkwardly clambers out of the hole, trying vainly to slash at her opponent.
Rose gloats maliciously, bemused and pitying her flailing opponent. Nevertheless, she manages to settle down enough for her next move. Closing her eyes, she starts to sense the natural environment around her, the rhythm and essence of the elements around her. Her mental power synchronizes itself with the clay of the bowl ridge, feeling the contours of the element around her. Meanwhile, still fuming, Titania kicks wildly at the air around her, seized by blind rage and ignoring her trainer's command. Rose, with an intense mental effort, drags a layer of clay down from the side of the bowl. The shifting, undulating ground throws off Titania's balance, causing her to tumble helplessly in the flying dust. Her tumble grinds to a halt near the edge of the water, where the rest of the debris pours in a cascade of dirt and leaves.

Beneath the cloudless, azure sky, the water in the pool ripples for a moment. A few stray leaves bob along the surface of the water, while a cloud of dirt settles beneath them. At the side of the water, Rose smirks jeeringly at Titania, her red eyes glittering in the sunlight. The Aron pulls herself to her feet slowly. Her cold blue eyes reflect her inner rage and frustration. Both Pokemon stand panting, feeling the strain of their earlier efforts but neither willing to give up. Seeing the dangerous look in the Aron's eyes, the Chikorita hesitates for a moment, her smile fading and her senses alert.
Plunging forward, Titania charges at her hated opponent. Her stinging eyes, although squinting, can still see clearly the bright green of Rose's skin. Rose scoops another lump of wet mud from the hole next to her. The slimy, red-brown goo drips from her vine, cold and slimy. She ruthlessly smashes the lump into the Aron's face as she comes towards her. Growling in a gravelly, irritated tone, the Aron fiercely retaliates with a series of kicks and headbutts. All her pent-up rage flies loose in a frenzy of brutal attacks. The Chikorita is bashed left and right, knocked down repeatedly with steel-hard blows. Finally, Titania stops. Her head feels pleasantly clear, no longer bogged down by feelings of failure and anger. She takes a few steps back, enough to put a short distance between herself and the Chikorita, and sits down on drier ground.
Meanwhile, it is Rose's turn to struggle back onto her feet; the battered Chikorita is filled with a new vengeance. Sinking into a meditative state, her eyes close, and her body relaxes, carefully sensing the natural energies around her. Summoning the red clay with all her might, Rose pulls a second layer of earth down the sloped wall. Titania jumps to her feet, alarmed by the rumbling noise behind her. To her horror, the ground is shaking violently, the heavy dirt piling into her body with tremendous force. She kicks and struggles in vain; her weakened body simply cannot put up with the strain. Her vision, already blurry, begins to dull and darken; her mind drifts into oblivion as the pouring dirt batters her body. Her breath harsh and ragged, Rose is the only one left standing. The Chikorita stares in amazement at her own powers of destruction, her mind numbed from the mental effort.
