Strange, but I feel great now

So my boyfriend broke up with me.

As many of you know, I've been spouting about how great he is since I started dating him; I really did and still do like him. But it seems our differences have finally clashed in a way that we just can't stay together and make each other reasonably happy.

And you know what? I'm very happy with this arrangement. I've learned that I don't need to have a boyfriend or girlfriend to be happy; I am an individual person. He taught me that; he taught me a lot of things, most without even realizing it. And now I feel so free.

I'm still a bit sad that he's gone. As I said, I do still like him a lot. But there's a reason he came into my life and there's a reason why he's not now. I'm so happy I had the time I did have with him, and hopefully, if we do remain friends, then we can look forward to more great, though different, memories.

So ~yay~

I mean, that you could have such a realization from this break-up. It can be very painful, breaking up with people and such. But sometimes you get a sense of... relief. You know what I mean? As if new opportunity awaits. And freedom, as you said.

So yeah, that's really awesome. And I hope everything goes well from here on~
