• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

ASB Awards 2011

What about best single reffing? It parallels best arena and best singature things well and I'd actually have a shot at that despite my chronic reffing lateness.
Hmm, we did have that category in the past, but it was cut due to lack of nominations. Is anybody else interested in bringing it back?

Most active ref?
Objective.

Most Charitable ASBer?
Hmmm, that seems kind of close to "Most Helpful." We can give it a shot, though.

I would be fine with both of those coming back. Would there be a set definition of "strategy", though? Are we talking about best use of a single round, something spanning multiple rounds, someone who managed to set something up and keep it going the entire battle, or does it matter?

Well, it's not like you'd be obliged to look at ALL of them in order to vote.

Like, the best last round of a battle or something? (i.e. the loser having pretty much no chance of winning but goes out with an impressive bang)

Birthday presents or something? Squorn would probably win that, considering she gives $15 to almost everyone.

You see, I thought it was if someone who was likely going to lose managed to get farther than anyone would expect. Which would admittedly involve what Effy said, so.

I thought it was a situation like someone nearly losing a battle and then turning everything around. o_o I guess Effercon's explanation makes more sense with what Wikipedia tells me an upset is, though.

Yeah, this is what I interpret the Biggest Upset as.

Although it's not what I'm talking about with my proposed category.
