41 hours.

As of today, I have beaten my record of keeping awake to 41 hours.

See, yesterday (Thursday) I woke up at about 5:30 to go to the Swansea University conference with the school. Fun was had, and there was a disco. We slept in the Residence halls. Well by slept I mean bolted and went on a road trip lasting from midnight until 6, keep in mind I just came from a disco. 7 I got to my room and got ready to leave for home, when Sophie knocked on my door saying she locked herself out. We looked for teachers and eventually we found other people locked out. By the end I had to escort 12 people to 6 floors then go back and give the key back to Mrs. Winslade then get to breakfast. after that, another team-building thing then a picnic outside then the bus ride home in which I couldn't sleep because I had about half a dozen cans of Pussy(MTV's new energy drink) and I was twitching. It wore of just now, at 11:26 PM.

My previous record was 32 hours playing Final fantasy VII when I was about 7 or 8, and I passed out and slept for a whole 24 hours.

Unhealthy or not, it's still an achievement. And now I will reward myself with some well-earned sleep. Goodnight.

That's actually really impressive :D Well done!
Glad you had fun on your Swansea trip, too :3

I can't stay up for too long in one go; past about 20 hours I start getting dizzy and having weird tactile hallucinations and stuff. Which is a shame, because marathon staying-up would be super-useful in the area of essay-writing-at-the-last-minute XD

The longest I ever managed was about thirty-eight hours, and that was only because I had an awful bout of insomnia that night. ):

Congratulations I guess!

My longest was only 24 hours, thank these forums.

Conratulations, I suppose. You deserve a good rest.

My (I HATE THESE DAYS!) record in staying awake is from one day in 5 am, to the second next day is 3 am. The first day i couldnt sleep, because i was out on a camp- it was frightening cold, and I wasted at least 1200 callories on shiverring. Anyway, I was in a bad mood the whole day, and couldnt sleep the next day because i have a little insomia(thats sleep-problems, right?), and couldnt sleep. I fed my cat, and played on my DS from midnight to 3 Am, then moved to my mother's laptop, and finally 'fainted', meaning collapsed while sitting on the sofa, and had 5 hours of sleep. That proves im not sleeping enough and is the reason im very, very short(1.48 Meters).
Im not really happy because of this, its rather depressing me.

Congratulations.

My record is around 46 hours. This was after my friend had died. I spent one night on the bus going to his funeral, and then spent most of the next night awake because I was too messed up to sleep. :|

I have stayed up for 30+ hours on several occasions, though, and those were much more fun because I did it on purpose. :3
