• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

    Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

    Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Hi

ok so *takes deep breath*

I am Evanlyn
I like to draw (a lot) though it is really only a hobby.
I very rarely go on the computer to try to do some computer art.

Here's some of my artwork;

Clarinet - Pastel Drawing

^ The other night, I sat in my room, I just wasn't too tired so I wasn't in bed. I picked up my book which has plain black paper in it, and I had this sudden... urge to use my pastels on it. So I looked at my clarinet (which was on it's stand) and began to sketch it. I didn't have enough room on the paper to draw the whole thing, but I think the picture still doesn't look too bad.

A Person - Black Pencil on paper

^ This one isn't finished yet I don't think. I need help. What hairstyle do you think I should draw on her?

A Phoenix - Coloured Pencil on White Paper

^ A phoenix I drew out of one of my sisters 'how to draw book' (she gave it to me for my birthday last year though).

Mr Toad! Poop Poop!

^ For those of you who don't know, Mr Toad is a character from Kenneth Grahame's 'Wind In The Willows' (it's a book and there's been several movies made too) - Toady here gets obsessed with 'motor cars' and the older kind (when the story is based) makes a sort of 'poop poop' type noise, so Toady continually says 'poop poop' throughout the whole book.

Here's some more

I've started using a new shading technique - instead of cross-hatching, I'm using 'blended shading'.
