• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Opinions on Clowns

Clowns are clowns are clowns are clowns.

I have little to no opinion of them. I consider them a useful literary device, that's about it.

I've never really cared about them much either way - I never really went to the circus or had them at friend's birthday parties, so I don't think I've actually ever seen one IRL.

The one in Ashes to Ashes freaks me the hell out, but so did the little kid in Life on Mars, and I'm not generally scared of little girls, so I think that's a one-off thing.

Eh, don't care much for clowns. When I was a baby, I had my picture taken with clowns because they thought I was so cute.

I never really watched It except for the Nostalgia Critic review, and I honestly don't know how kids could have gotten scared from it (probably because I'm old enough to not develop clown phobias maybe xD). I most likely wouldn't have, having been watching rather creepy movies at a young age. It probably wouldn't have bothered me.

My brother claimed to have seen the movie in his second-grade class. The kid was always a liar.

"Excuse me sir, do you have Prince Albert in a can? You DO!? Well, ya better let the poor guy out! HOO-HAH! HOO-HAH! HOO-HAH! HOO-HAH! HOO-HAH!" - Pennywise

The book was MUCH better though.

I'm kinda indifferent to clowns.

When I was like 8 I was picked from a circus audience to be the clown's assistant. I think they were expecting whoever they picked to fail miserably. But I didn't. It was fun.
