How I do it is just lighten the sprite a little bit and then add a yellow border around the regular outline, sort of like an aura.

I can see this shop has potential (especially your fusions by the way, very nice.).
However, I'd like to point out that the giant text in your signature isn't a good attraction to the shop. Maybe you should create a banner for the shop or hire someone to do so, instead, then make it so that the banner links to here? That would be better.
I didn't come here to ramble, though. I have a request. Can you please fuse a Zorua, Oshawott, and Mewtwo? It'll probably be tricky, I guess.
