Punch-Out!!

Aristicus

Dat Absol!
Punch-Out!! is one of my favorite games of all time. The boxers have so many amazing personalities, and it takes stereotypes to a whole new level. In fact, Piston Hondo just shows that Japan can be stereotypical to themselves.

Anyway, back to my love for the game. It's so awesome! I don't even like sports, but Punch-Out!! brought me into boxing, with it's funny moments, and awesome gameplay. This game has brought so many memories including beating up Glass Joe in Title Defense with that funny helmet, fighting the real boxing champion Mike Tyson, memorizing that song that plays while you fight Disco Kid, raging when Soda Popinski restored health every 20 seconds, King Hippo's limited dialogue, Donkey Kong's impossible to know attack pattern, Super Macho Man being such a douche.

I'm talking more about the Wii version than anything, but still I loved all of them, and Mike Tyson was definitely one of my favorite bosses to fight, as well as Glass Joe. That game is so amazing, I love it, play it everyday, and I joined Club Nintendo because of this thing! Well, mostly to fight Doc Louis, but still.

Now, enough of my rambling, let's get onto what this thread was made for. Discussing the game.

release the bogus

Punch-Out is an amazing game oh my god I love it : D

started out with the Wii version, and after that I downloaded the original NES game from the eshop. Love both of them! I'm not into sports either, but this is a sports game I can enjoy ...probably because it's over-the-top unrealistic and silly, but still.

I love Punch-Out too (Except for fighting that bastard Bald Bull, ESPECIALLY Title Defense Bald Bull. Still get nightmares of that hellish fight). My favorite boxers are Bear Hugger and Don Flamenco.

I remember hearing about another Punch-Out!! game being made soon, but I haven't heard anything about it in a while. Is it dead or something? I hope that it will at least be on the Wii U.
