• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Board layouts?

I think this goes in this board... Anyway, I was wondering, how do you make and code layouts for forums? Is it basicly the same as when you make a site layout, or is there a difference? Also, is it possible to use paint to make a layout?

You can't use Paint to make an entire layout, but you technically could use Paint to make graphics for said layout. Something like GIMP is much, much better for making graphics, though. =3 Or Photoshop or something, but that's not free; GIMP is.

You could use Paint for the layout graphics. But coding it...I dunno how you'd do that with paint. o_o

You generally have to look at the premade forum layout, and tinker with it, adjusting colors, graphics, and the CSS in general. It's generally easy to a person with CSS knowledge. :)
