• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Open I'm So Sick! (needs a better title)

"Like I said earlier," said Cannon, "Shadowflare told me to do it by looking at me a certain way. It's called exchanging looks, and if you're good enough you can use it as a type of silent communication. Just ask the Mistress."

Khran ignored the accusations. Idiots, he thought, They see things so black and white. He carried on. "Thank you, mistress. He's been waiting on the porchstep."

When they were finally outside, Shadowflare siad, "Yes. He may stay. And Khran..." she turned towards a shed. "...I would like to talk to you in private."

"I do not believe that anyone can judge accurately what someone is trying to say by a look alone, unless you have a coded system of looks - which I doubt." Lex's composure was still there, unbreakable and resolute. "Noelle, thanks to Cannon that issue is academic now"

Lex teleported back to security. The immediate threat was gone, but now he had to deal with the police. Dealing with the police meant that there would be leaks. There always were.

The police, having been informed, were coming themselves, but would be a while. Lex teleported to the porch step just in time to hear Shadowflare announce that a Cubone, presumably Khran's brother, could stay.

Cannon grunted. "Expressions," he said simply as Lex left. "If some stranger looked at you with cute eyes, you could tell that they wanted something from you. That's one example."

"Oh, certainly, mistress." said Khran, keeping his manners together. "Now Opal, you won't have to stay there much longer, okay? Just wait for the mistress and I to come back."

"Oh, okay." said Opal.

In the shed, Khran asked, "What is it you wished to speak to me about?"

"Well, it's nothing bad. I just want you and Opal to inherit the money when I die.((Hooray, sequels!)) I don't feel like having children, so Khran, you are offed of your servant duty. You and Opal will, instead, be served.

Lex turned to the young cubone.

"Excuse me, but as it seems you will be staying here I feel I must introduce myself. My name is Lex, and I am head of security here. Hopefully you won't see me very often. May I ask what is your name?"

"Really? But mistress, I would easily die before you due to age. Ninetales live 1,000 years, remember." Khran carried on, "But, I thank you for this opportunity, and I accept."

On the porchstep, Opal spoke to Lex. "Oh, my name's Opal. Nice to meet you."

"Nice to meet you Opal. I'm afraid I do not know what you will be doing while you are here yet, and I presume your brother will be looking after you, but I will advise you to stay with him, at least for today. We have a few ... issues, at the moment, and I don't want you caught up in anything."

"Thank you," replied Lex, "But now if you would excuse me I have to go and do some very boring and depressing paperwork."

With that Lex teleported back into his office and pulled a file from one of the cabinets. He opened it up and looked at the picture of the Espeon inside.

What is going on? he pondered. Something seemed wrong. It shouldn't - Ren was unable to do anything else any more, whether or not he agreed with Cannon's methods - but something was still unsettling him.

He closed the file, put it to one side of the desk, and reached down into a low draw, looking through the papers in there. He found what he was looking for, and drew out a blank form which was titled 'Termination of Employment'

Lex sat down and began to fill in the form.

"I never even thought of that. But I might die sooner. A forturne teller said I would die before age tells me to."

"Oh..." Khran was a little unsure. "Well, alright. Thank you, mistress. Is there anything else you wish to speak to me about?"

"No. Let us check on how the fighting is doing. If it has stopped, Opal can come in. If it hasn't... I'll stop it somehow so Opal can come in."

Toxic gave up on trying to firght Kiki, and found out that Khran had brought his little brother, Opal into the scene. Reminds me of my little sister. But I would never bring her. Not to this place ever. She would be too afraid with all these Pokemon in one place, and would be nervous. Plus, I wouldn't....Even with all the trouble, and how nice that little kid of a rich Ninetales is, after the trouble I casued right now with the fight, she would probably say no anyway. I'm not taking my chances. Her ears fell from their upright posititon and sat in a corner, daydreaming. A more peaceful side you don't see of Toxic much.

Shadowflare went in. "Well, it's calmed down a little bit, but there's still cleaning to do. Let's bring Opal in and sneak him upstairs." she whispered to Khran.

"Alright." said Khran. He stepped outside. "Hey, Opal. You can come in now. Lady Shadowflare and I need you upstairs first, though."

"Okay." Khran led Opal inside to see Shadowflare.

"Alright. Move quickly." she said as she escorted Opal up the stairs. When they got there, Shadowflare said, "There is still fighting going on. You'll be safer if you're up here."
