• Welcome to The Cave of Dragonflies forums, where the smallest bugs live alongside the strongest dragons.

    Guests are not able to post messages or even read certain areas of the forums. Now, that's boring, don't you think? Registration, on the other hand, is simple, completely free of charge, and does not require you to give out any personal information at all. As soon as you register, you can take part in some of the happy fun things at the forums such as posting messages, voting in polls, sending private messages to people and being told that this is where we drink tea and eat cod.

    Of course I'm not forcing you to do anything if you don't want to, but seriously, what have you got to lose? Five seconds of your life?

Porygon2 @ Eviolite
Analytic/Modest
(252 Sp. Atk/136 Def/116 Sp. Def)

Tri-Attack
T-Bolt
Ice Beam
Recover

I know that with Eviolite this thing can sit with impressive bulk, and any healing is easily covered by Recover. Ice Beam/T-Bolt covers anything not Lanturn, which is where Tri Attack comes in. Smogon suggests bold or quiet, and often this guy as being on a Trick Room Team, but as this is a stand-alone I thought a little more offense would be nice. With all his moves having either 10% Burn/Freeze/Paralyze, there's a chance he might even inflict a status condition. Modest to boost an over-impressive Sp. Atk so that it'll top out nicely.

It's the literal form of a tank. Slow, bulky, hard to kill, and with ranged attacks...

Erm... 10/10?

Tri Attack = great STAB + potential random status
T-Bolt/Ice Beam = standard Porygon attacks dating back to 3rd gen.
Recover = yay HP
Eviolite = yay +50% defenses

Seriously, for being such a simple concept, this thing is probably boss. I approve.

eh, I might run adaptability instead, but other than that it looks pretty neat.

The reason I say Adaptability over Analytic is because of one prime reason: it gives tri attack a base power of 160 as opposed to 80. Now, yes, with analytic all of your moves get boosted, but with 160 base + STAB Tri Attack you will one-hit just about anything that doesn't resist. This tripled with eviolite and recover gives you pretty much unlimited sweeping against everything except fighting types.

Adaptablity makes your STAB ecome x2. Therefore it just remains at 160.

Edit: Only Porygon-Z has Adaptability, Porygon2 has Trace/Download/Analytic(DW)
