RP Thread

The land of Uia is a lush and varied landscape, consisting mostly of untamed wilds between small and isolated towns. There are few paved roads, and those that are there are constantly swamped by trade vehicles. Humans are the most common species of Uia, but Elves and Dwarves are not uncommon. The other races all appear every so often, except for the Dragonborn people.

A spell long ago transformed a large number of nobles into Dragonborn, and they started a powerful rule over the country, with help from The Dragon Lords, five chromatic dragons with powerful abilities. The lives of everyone else in Uia now revolves around their Dragonborn masters, most reporting to them as servants and hired hands. A powerful witch now rules the country, although not many have seen her. Tales of her beauty have reached more than one ear, drawing countless adventurers to her in hopes of ceasing her evil and winning her over as their bride. Needless to say the fools that tried were never seen again. Some say she killed them where they stood, others claim that she transformed them into her servants and now do her bidding as she so pleases.

But another rumour has begun to surface on the tongues of country people. Tale of a lone Dragonborn travelling alone toward a small farming village, with no guards nor mages to protect her from those that wish to have revenge on their draken masters. Though tales say that she travels alone, she seems to be untouched by the hands of the vengeful in her wake. All that is known about the Dragonborn is that she has sent word through the taverns across the land, welcoming any traveller willing to sign-up for a dangerous yet heavily rewarding quest as part of her party. There is no word as to what the quest is for, but the promise of riches and fame calls out to you.

Or maybe it is another reason you come to join her.

Whatever your reasons, it is up to you to join the enemy race in her quest and trek across this land with her as your leader. Be your reason righteous or greedy, you are welcomed to join her in the farming village to travels toward.

-----

Welcome to Drakonshir! It is a small town, but has a bustling economy of farming and mining.
This is where the post in the taverns across the land have lead you too. Be your reasons for coming here be out of curiosity or the thirst for adventure, you now stand at the beginning of your journey…that is, once you find the Dragonborn that put up the notice.

The town centre has a large statue of a green dragon rearing on it’s hind legs and water spurting forth from it’s jagged-toothed maw and spilling into the basin at it’s feet. The dragon’s eyes seem to glimmer with a yellow light, but it’s otherwise normal looking. The cobblestones of the street are even and smooth from years of feet, and there are a few humans milling around on their daily business. A dog can be heard barking in the distance. Overhead, the sky is streaked with the reds and golds of the setting sun.

To the north lies a small inn, a sign swaying in a slight breeze depicts a plate of food with a mug of some sort of liquid next to it. There is the sound conversation inside. To the East is a path to the forest, the breeze tousling the leaves on the trees. To the south is a group of houses, the road splitting into many that lead to more homes. To the west, a path leads to a row of small businesses, of which the signs of a weapons dealer and a magician.

Name: Hilao Iba
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: Archer
Appearance: Hilao always wears green long trousers, a padded green shirt and a green vest. He has black spiky hair and blue eyes, is of average build and is deceptively fast.
Personality: Cold and ruthless, and often quite quiet, but once you earn his respect he'll be very loyal. He is known to fire random bolts off because of his anger, then go to extreme means to retrieve said bolt.
History: Hilao was born in the small town of Drakonshir, but moved away at an early age because of his parent's divorce. He moved with his father to a small village far away, where he and his father earned their living by hunting for the locals. He always enjoyed hunting with his father, but after his father was killed while away on a hunting trip, he decided that he would train to be the best with the bow as well as the sword, so he wouldn't miss like his father had. He has traveled the lands in search of adventure and wealth, however his quest was interrupted by the Dragonborn's invitation. He is joining the Dragonborn so he can gain more experience and wealth and quite possibly fame.

Aha, interesting. could I perhaps reserve a place? I have a character thoroughly in mind, but I'm too tired to actually post a form right now (I mean the moon's almost gone, why am I still up?). So is it okay if I do it tomorrow instead, but secure a place for now?

So does any race mean any race or just ones from that newfangled tabletop game?

Any race...and did you just call DnD "newfangled" *laughs* God, my mom played that game when she was a teen.

Ok, I'll keep something reserved

Aww sweet, I can roll out my DnD character. Or rather, an amalgamation of 2 very similar characters.

Name: Istvan Arpady
Age: 33
Gender: Male
Race: Satyr
Class: Druid
Appearance: He looks like a human male, but his legs are those of a goat, covered with a soft hair and ending in hooves. As well, there are curled horns growing out of his short brown hair. Standing, he is around 6' 3". Usually, the only clothing he wears is a pair of custom-made tan trousers. He has a somewhat bigger build than an average human. At the left side of his hip are the signature satyr pan pipes, and opposite is a simple steel scimitar.
Personality: Like any good satyr, Istvan enjoys woods, wine, and women. Food is good too. He enjoys partying until sunrise, enchanting human and elf females, and nymphs. But unlike others of his race, he's also quite fond of adventuring outside of his woods, and with his druidic training, even has an introspective side, however small. A womanizer who can keep his alcohol disturbingly well, he is nonetheless a mostly good guy.
History: An aberration from others in his group, Istvan took up study of natural magic out of personal interest, leading him to see a world outside the ancestral forests and woodland races. Upon hearing of an expedition about... something, Istvan isn't even entirely sure, but the call was sent out by a woman, a good start, and there might even be that beautiful witch the townsfolk seem to be whispering about lording over the country. As long as there were lovely ladies, superior wine, and glorious feasts, he's quite pleased to be traveling.
Other: So far he knows a number of random utility spells, and can even summon some woodland animals to help. Also, he has a wolf companion named Bogdana, a tempestuous canine who seems to have a distaste for humanoids, but usually Istvan can keep her under control.

HEY GUUUUYS MAKE YOUR FORMS NICE AND LONG PLEASE. 8D

ALSO I'm here to reserve me a character spot, so I don't just gotta DM with ya. FEAR US.

Why moony why?

I was about to join this before I realised this was a D&D RP.((say THAT 5 times fast))

((first sentence was mostly for the moon part. I might join. Later. When I learn how to play this accursed game. The only thing I know is from the 'Complete Collection of Dungeons and Dragon monsters Guide Volume 2' book my mom got for no reason.))

Name: Banavio
Age: 23
Gender: Male
Race: Hamadryad
Class:Wizard
Appearance: At 7' 4" tall, this normal-sized hamadryad has very dark blonde hair, looking brown at times. With rough, bark-ey skin, Banavio is quite muscular and loves a challenge. He always has his wand with him, which is made from the oak of his tribe's sacred tree. He can perform magic without it, but his magic is greatly amplified while wielding it. And, as a hamadryad, he always keeps his home tree with him, for fear of someone hurting it.
Personality: Banavio is gentle-hearted, but has a lot of spunk. He's hotheaded, but will do anything for his friends. He's open to new opportunities, and loves to eat. And, because it's almost cannibalistic, he doesn't eat plants, vegetables, or any type of vegetation. He only eats meat, but it's generally raw, as he doesn't like burning wood much.
History: Banavio grew up in a tribe of warriors. Moon a powerful line of warriors, who taught him extreme martial arts, leaving him alone in the wilderness for months on end. An incredible fighter, Banavio had to use martial arts to solve his problems as a child. His tribe realized that Banavio had the gift of magic when he was training as a child, and made a practice dummy explode with his mind. He got his wand, and has been training as a wizard ever since.
Other: Is there anything I need to know about D&D?

Name: Keibeitreilei (or just Keibei for short)
Age: 22
Gender: He's got dangly bits, yes.
Race: Wildkinder
Class: Rogue, I suppose it would be.

Appearance: Keibei, like all Wildkinder, is very easily mistaken for a human child. Large eyes and a short stature, as well as little to no body hair, combine to make the young adults look no older than twelve or thirteen. Their voices are high and remain the same for their entire lives.

Keibei himself is a rather typical specimen; the young man's hair is a dark golden-brown and very shaggy. There's often a twig tangled in the uncombed mass of follicles. His eyes, which are green-blue, have large, moon-shaped pupils in the center. Keibei's feet have thick, rough pads at the bottom, and the Wildkinder prefers to go completely barefoot. He also goes shirtless most of the time, but as a compromise wears his single pair of grey pants to avoid making others uncomfortable. Despite his short stature, Keibei is very acrobatic and can climb a tree in a few blinks of the eye. This shows, as he is quite thin and would look muscular if he wasn't so childlike. He's also tan and vary rough-looking, as far as Wildkinder go.

Personality: Keibeitreilei has a personality to match his appearance. Like all Wildkinder, he enjoys a good joke (practical or otherwise) although he never means any harm. He's quite talkative and sings to himself when not doing something else. Keibei also has very little understanding of concepts like privacy and personal space, since he grew up in the treetops with his siblings and neighbors. Most of his talking is questions or answers, as he's very curious about non-Wildkinder and things in general. He'll hardly ever pass up a meal and is a hard worker.

History:
Keibei was born to a massive troop of Wildkinder, and had five siblings of mixed gender. His parents, as well as his numerous aunts and uncles, were very kind to him, as were most of his kind. Leaping and backflipping from place to place became second nature to him during his childhood, and the skill remains with him to this day. He was stricken with wanderlust at around eighteen and began traveling the world, seeing for the first time mountains, valleys, and strange people who looked hairy and tall. He's wandered ever since, and thinks escorting the mysterious lady will help him find even more beautiful locations and things, perhaps even with trees.

Other: He knows most trees and fruit by name and moves similar to a practitioner of parkour.

You don't actually need to know much about D&D for this; it's been labeled a D&D RP only because it's based on the campaign I'm DMig, and uses some of the monsters.

Name: Sayuri
Age: 13
Gender: Female
Race: Bakeneko
Class: Cleric

Appearance: Sayuri, as a Bakeneko, is capable of shapeshifting, so her form can change without much effort. her most common forms, however, are that of a feline and a more humanoid shape.

As a cat, she is rather large, about two feet tall at the shoulder, and her tail is incredible long. Her fur is white, though she sports a number of brown splotches along her flanks and back, and her ears, tail, and face are the same caramel brown. Her eyes are golden-brown.

Her humanoid for is rather small and dainty, since she is rather young, and her hair is long, falling to her mid-back, and the soft caramel brown of her markings when in a feline shape. Her eyes are very large, and her pupils slitted. She never seems to blink, which can be rather unnerving. She's very pale, Her canine teeth are rather long, and she retains her tail, no matter what form she's in.

She normally wears heavy robes that make it very hard to tell what her actual body looks like, and the robes trail along on the ground after her. They are mostly white, though the ends of the sleeves, the bottom, and collar are red. She wears sandals on her feet, and the back part of her hair is usually pulled up in a tight bun. She carries what looks like a small red coin purse attached to the sash around her waist, though upon closer inspection, one would notice it bears the magical markings of a Bag of Holding. Inside the bag, she carries a large iron mace, a small regular coin purse (white) that contains about 50 gold, and a small chest with spell components inside. She also has a small silver dagger attached to the sash, and wears a holy symbol on her chest.

Personality: Hurdur PO

History: Not much is known about her, as she herself doesn't know or care much about her past. She is one to focus on the now and hopes that others will not push for her past deeds.

Other: She's...kind of bad at magic. And fighting. But she's learning!

Name: Ven Arcin
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Class: Rogue

Appearance:At first glance, Ven may seem like a thin, lithe boy with medium length jet-black hair and has piercing amber eyes. He is roughly 5’9 and weighs at about 110 pounds. On his face, he has a scar crossing over his right eye diagonally. His hair just covers his eyes in a curtain of black, although he shifts it to only cover his right eye. His somewhat toned due to all of the work he did on the fields.

Ven's clothing is rather.... loose. His shirt is a plain black that reaches to just under his waist. Over this, he wears a hooded jacket, unzipped and white, with several black block designs and a grey hem on the end of each sleeve. The jacket's collar is red and pleated and folded back. His black pants are a little loose and have a crescent moon patch on the right leg, and a sun on the left leg.

Personality: Ven is a reckless individual with a cocky attitude, and is also extremely lazy when it comes to any form to work, as he prefers to dump his work onto others. However, he enjoys fighting and is quite competitive to just about anyone. He is a sarcastic, curious person and prefers to see the 'bleaker' side of things. Ven relies on instinct rather then his intelligence when fight. But he is not exactly stupid. In fact, he is quite smart, but to lazy to put it into use. He despises people you manipulate others and gives them false hope. Ven is also somewhat a type of idealist. Always trying to find a way to save all of the people he can.

Ven is not much of a social person, but is alright in social situations. He is a strong willed person, and can rarely be swayed against his beliefs and ideals. He is loyal to his superiors, and even more so with people who he respects, or shares his ideals. Ven is also slow to trust, but once he trusts someone, he would never break that trust.

History:

Other: I'll type up a history later........

Not quite there, I need you to keep in mind that at his age he shouldn't be all that skilled with the magic you have him at. Either age him up or fix his skill level.

I AM RESERVING FYI.

Name: Amaturasu Storm
Age: 20
Gender: Woman-thing
Race: Luca (Riou)
Class: Alchemist
Appearance: Like most young Luca, Ammy is a fairly short, lithe, and fit black-and-blue-furred mammalian humanoid. Her head is canid, with a slightly elongated snout, small, stiff triangle ears atop her head, and a black mask covering her eyes and stretching across the top of her snout and to the sides of her head. There are also two long black 'ears' on either side of her head, extending from near the end of her mask. Her neck has a fluffy, light yellow collar, while her arms, puffy hips, and long tail with a bent looking tip are all blue. Her stomach - which splits itself from her hips with a zig-zagging pattern - and legs and feet are black.
Her eyes are a deep shade of violet, and hair is a mid-toned blue-grey which hangs messily in spiky looking bangs in her face, and down to the start of her neck. Her ears are filled with earrings and charms, and she wears small, rectangle frameless glasses and a pink coppola with a stiff, faded red rim. Her top is a tan, sleeveless low-cut, and skirt a slightly higher than knee-length pleated purple with pink inners. She wears a short cape over top, which falls just below her back, and is decorated with a gold trim atop purple and pink patterns - and almost knee-high boots with large straps in the same colours. She also has gold trimmed purple fingerless gloves. She carries a short, faded gold and black steel spear (slightly longer than an average cane and held as such) with a dragon motif decorating below the blade. She is often seen hauling a small cart full of bottles, books, and all manner of alchemical goodies behind her.

Personality: PO. >:C c'mon gusy you PLAY your personality not describe it.

History: Amaturasu is a young Alchemical student from a typical pride-filled Luca family. She is ditzy, somewhat clumsy, has a fascination with fire and a tad of an alcohol problem - not quite the pick of the litter. From an early age she and her siblings were pushed into academic endeavours, something she was not all too interested in. The choice of alchemy was a cave-in by her caretakers, fed up to the point of just being happy to send her away to learn -something-, despite the predictable risks. Needless to say, she is well known as the cause of 89% of laboratory 'accidents', and has a tendency to skip classes and take pub runs. Although her skills with potions and the like are 'average', they are unrefined. She's not bad at what she does persay, but has a bad habit of being unmotivated. She is predictably anti-authoritative and spends more of her effort crafting and toying with firebombs and man-eating plant bottles, having more than a few run ins with the law - including a partially burnt down shop and a potted Mandragora found in the pub washroom.
