Battle style: Set
Damage Cap: None
DQ time: 14 days
Banned: OHKOs, Direct Heal (Indirect healing like dream eater is fine), Perish song, Destiny bond, Pain split, weather moves, attract, chills limited to 2 per Pokémon.
Arena: A large, open field that seems to stretch on forever. The grass is black and withered and the sky overhead is filled with dark clouds. A couple of dead looking trees litter the landscape, their branches bare and skeletal.

Byrus' active squad:

[Yami] Houndour (Female)
<Flash Fire>

[Ruaig] Stunky (Male)
Held: Black sludge
<Stench>
Body mod: Stunky has taken a Levitation Course.
For pokemon that weigh up to 100 lbs (~45 kg), levitation will cost 2% energy per action to maintain. For pokemon between 101 lbs and 250 lbs (~113 kg) it will cost 3% per action to maintain, and for pokemon 251 lbs to 440 lbs (~200 kg), it will cost 4% energy to maintain levitation. Levitation enables pokemon to reach a height no greater than 2 m, and has the visual effect of being in a state with no gravitational pull towards the earth. Pokemon who undergo this training will be classified as Consensually Levitating Pokemon. This is a two-day course, and pokemon will need to be picked up before battle.
Fighting- or Bug-type pokemon will expend an extra 2% energy to levitate, as they have less affinity with psychic energy. Psychic-type pokemon will expend 1% less energy.

Thanks for reffing RTB.

I'll go with Gastro. Let's start with Yawn, then follow up with wring out and dream eater (health). However, if Gwen tries to counter yawn with substitute or safeguard, just switch to wring out. If she's not asleep on the last action for whatever reason, use shock wave (if there are any double team clones, spread it out to destroy them)
If Gwen uses super fang or dig at any time, counter it.

Yawn/Wring out/counter ~ Wring out/counter ~ Dream eater/counter/shock wave

Use Detect to concentrate and not be affected by Yawn, then use Flatter and Iron Tail.

If for some reason detect fails and you're asleep, use Snore.

Detect ~ Flatter/Snore ~ Iron Tail/Snore

A field lies somwhere in the region of Asber, blackened by Arceus knows what and void of all life. The sky is perpetually gray, and the field looks as if it goes on for infinity.

This is apparently the perfect place for a battle.

As the refferee and the two combatants arrive for the battle, Byrus and ultraviolet shake hands and go to opposite sides of the field. Byrus throws a red and white ball onto the field, which pops open and releases a gelatinous mass of green goo. With a face. On the opposite end, a camoflauge-colored ball lands, and a Nidorina pops out. Blade raises his ref's flag, the only colorful thing in the midst of the bleak lanscape, and signals for the match to begin.

With a start, the match begins. Gwenfair concentrates and takes up defenses, sensing when and exactly how Gastro will attack. Sure enough, Gastro opens his unbelievably large mouth and lets out a large yawn. The ref starts to feel a bit sleepy, but Gwenfair is able to ignore it completely. Gastro stares at Gwenfair, upset that his attack didn't work.

To Gastro's surprise, Gwenfair actually begins to praise him for his attack. "That was a really good attack. The way that you pulled it off, and the way that your mouth just works for it... simply wonderful. Gastro is a bit startled by her sudden congatulations, but he begins to think to himself, <What if she's right?>. Gastro, in his overconfidence, tries to hit Gwenfair with a Wring Out. However, the attempt fails completely, and he ends up tripping somehow and falling on the ground quite hard. Gwenfair tries her best to stifle a laugh.

Gwenfair then decides to go for a more direct approach. Her tail begins to glint a little bit in the small amount of light that is poking through the clouds. She runs up to Gastro, and quickly whips herself around, smacking him in the face with her now steel-like tail. Hurt by the suddenness of the pain, Gastro decides to concentrate and actually try to hit Gwenfair. Gastro begins to generate a gigantic amount of static electricity inside of his body by rubbing organs against his stomach. after a few minutes, he releases the whole burst, letting electricity spread everywhere. Gwenfair inevitably gets caught in the blast, and is hurt by the static electricity delivering hundreds of tiny shocks on her skin. Gwenfair glares at Gastro, ready for revenge.

Round Two Begin!

To start things off, Gwenfair decides to make the whole action of battling a living hell for Gastro. She somehow creates a small amount of water in her body, and wraps it around an ultrasonic wave bouncing around inside of her. She then fires the concentrated sonic blast of water at Gastro. The Pulse hits him and sends him back a few inches, but it's lasting effect takes place on Gastro immediately. He begins to experience dizzyness and confusion with a touch of vertigo. Nonetheless, he ries to carry out his action, which proves to not be very hard at all. Gastro simply opens his huge mouth and lets out a loud yawn. Not expecting him to try again, Gwenfair can't help but yawn herself. <I am getting a bit tired...> she thinks.

No matter of how tired she is, Gwenfair knows she has to carry out her move. She sticks her paw into the ground and throws a pawful of dirt in the general area of the gulpin's face. Blinded a bit by the dirt, Gastro begins to wobble and nearly falls over. Almost too confused to act, Gastro tries to move regardless of his current state. He tries to use an Ice Beam, but the thin Ice-type beam of energy flies straight in to the air. For a moment, nothing happens. Thne, the frozen remains of the beam start to fall back to ert, and rain down on Gastro like a deadly curtain of icicles. Gwenfair would normally laugh, but instead, she decides to fall asleep.

Gastro, somewhat back to his senses, decides to do the most logical thing. He sees the sleeping Gwenfair, and his eyes begin to glow pink. As Gastro searches Gwenfair's mind, he comes upon a dream, Something involving a Nidorino and a lot of flowers. Being the hungry sack of stomach fluids he is, Gastro then proceeds to eat the dream whole. While Gastro feels better after doing so, Gwenfair begins to stir in her sleep a bit.

Not bad. The lingering confusion is still a pain, but we can at least try and take advantage of the special attack boost. So, dream eater away. Begin Round III!

Gastro views the sleeping Gwenfair as an oppurtunity to attack. Before he can, however, Gwenfair begins to stir in her sleep. Wobbling a tiny bit closer, Gastro eyes her for a few seconds and then is caught off guard as she snores very loudly, sounding a bit like a chainsaw cutting through wood. The noise is an assault on Gastro's ears; his concentration breaks and he is unable to complete his attack.

Gwenfair snores yet again, but this time Gastro is prepared. He is able to keep his concentration and finds an oppurtunity to attack. His eyes begin to glow pink, and he searches through Gwenfairs mind for a tasty snack. He comes across a rather disturbing dream about a Nidoqueen obliterating a heard of Gulpin with an Earthquake. Knowing that no good could come out of this dream, he quickly eats it. Being interrupted rudely from two dreams does not sit well with Gwenfair. She wakes up in a flash, and eyes Gastro intensely. After inhaling the dream, Gastro notices that the fog in his mind is finally clearing up.

Gwenfair takes out her anger on her opponent by blasting him with an ultrasonic wave laden with water. The impact stuns Gastro, but he feels lucky that the fog in his mind doesn't return. Gastro retaliates by kicking up a small amount of mud and dirt up from the charred ground, aiming for Gwenfair's eyes. the attack blinds her partially, infuriating her even more.

Round 4 Begin!

Immediately at the start of the round, Gwenfair rears her paws up and begins clawing into the black earth at an amazing speed. Within the span of ten minutes, she is far underground and out of any possible attack Gastro could manage to spit out. Rather than spitting out an attack, Gastro smiles to himself. He watched Gwenfair's movements very precisely, and he now knows how to Dig.

Far underground, Gwenfair stumbles upon a hard rock. She begins slashing at it, sharpening her claws in the process. After a while, she feels her claws are sufficiently more deadly. Up above ground, as Gastro can see no means of attack, he builds up energy in his body and stores it, the extra energy acting like a shield. Gastro's body becomes more tough and resilient due to the stored energy.

In her underground hidey-hole, Gwenfair decides that now would be a good time to regain some lost energy. She lays down and curls in a circle and rests, feeling her body's natural healing processes beginning. Still unsure of exactly when Gwenfair is going to come bursting out of the bleak soil and attack, Gastro decides to build up his defenses. He secretes a corrosive acid (not to him, of course, but to pretty much every other living thing on the planet) and coats himself with it. The acid armor greatly buffs Gastro's defenses.

Thanks for the VM, that glitch is annoying.
Gastro should have +1 special defense and +3 defense, not the opposite. Also, it'd be handy if you kept track of the amount of chills used in the status or something since they're limited in this fight. (and maybe add the mimicked dig in Gastro's status notes too)

If Gwen attacks with dig or super fang at any time, counter it. Use yawn if she has resurfaced. If she remains underground, send a shock wave down her tunnel and hope its widespread enough to hit. Also revert to shock wave if she's used substitute or safeguard or if she's resurfaced and you've already used yawn.

Okay, for now I want you to stay underground. For Gastro to be able to hit you with a Shock Wave while you're underground with any accuracy, he's going to need to be somewhere near the hole, no? Use Supersonic; it should be able to echo upwards through the hole nicely and confuse him. I have no idea how he's going to be able to tell whether you're using substitute when you're all the way down there and he's all the way up there, but make a 15% one anyway. Finish with Echoed Voice; if we're lucky this'll exacerbate his confusion, too.

Round Five Start!

Gwenfair starts the round by looking up at the entrance to her little tunnel. At that precise movement, Gastro was probably slithering out of his earlier hole and to the entrance of hers. She waits a little until she is sure he’s there; then she opens her mouth and lets out an extremely high-pitched noise that bounces off the walls of her tunnel upwards. The Supersonic is positioned perfectly to hit Gastro, and the Gulpin wishes he could cover his ears as the noise begins to give him a large headache. He begins to charge up a jolt of electricity, but loses concentration because of the headache. The electricity he hadn’t built up zaps him painfully.

Unaware of her opponent’s pain but aware of her attack’s effect, Gwen is confident that she’s not gonna get attacked any time soon. Still, though, there’s no harm in taking precautionary measures! Gastro above soon hears her scraping at the dirt walls of her tunnel, digging out a good amount of sediment. Soon, she has a nice pile of the dirt in front of her, and upon realizing this she turns to it and breathes a portion of her life energy into it. The dirt pile immediately forms itself into a Nidorina shape, ready to protect its creator at all costs. Unfortunately, Gastro above has just zapped himself again, so the Substitute’s duties turn out to be unneeded at the moment.

Once again, Gwen opens her mouth. But this time, she lets out a strong, full, and (most importantly) loud voice. The voice echoes off the walls of her tunnel, and resonates straight up to Gastro’s invisible ears. The sound tortures him, and he makes a mental note to talk to his trainer about getting them removed. He just has to retaliate. Well, at least his headache has started to fade away; he can work from that. Trying with all his might not to mess up this time, the Gulpin crawls over to look down the hole, then releases a focused spread of electricity. A bit of it gets caught on the passage’s walls and dissipates, but the rest travels down to Gwenfair, where it gets absorbed by her new clay friend.

I mean I've just realised it now that it is in fact my turn but yeah. Sorry!

alright, I want you to dig some more! :D Dig another tunnel to the surface from where you are, but in a slightly different direction; we should end up with two holes, with one tunnel joining them. If you can do that so Gastro's in between the holes that'd be cool but he'll probably just move once he realises what you're doing anyway so it's not important. Once you've dug that tunnel, stay near the surface but still in the hole and use Supersonic again and Echoed Voice. If Gastro protects or subs or something, use Disable.

Dig ~ Supersonic/Disable ~ Echoed Voice/Disable

Er, hang on, I just noticed that you lifted the energy totals at the beginning of round four instead of the end. Might want to tweak that.

Well, let's take the opportunity to make a substitute while we can. 10% sounds good. Then use encore to lock Gwen into using supersonic for a while. However, if you can't get in her view for whatever reason, go with shock wave. If you confusion failed on the first action, use protect to trigger disable instead.
Finish the round with shock wave. If the RNG gods decide that they hate my guts and you happen to confusion fail on both the second and third actions, take the moment to chill to try and clear your head.
