This is an enlarged plate of fruit. The fruits are real. Several kinds of fruit, namely pineapple, watermelon slices, apples, blackberries, raspberries, and kiwi. Trainers here must be careful to avoid the pineapple's pricks especially, and if a Pokemon stumbles into it they take 2% damage. The scent of fruit has a property of aromatherapy; if a Pokemon stops and breathes in the wonderful scent, they recover 5% energy. However, stopping and smelling the fruits takes up one action. The fruits are arranged on the outside of the plate, with the center having no obstructions.

Pre-round
Silver Panic climbed onto the enamel plate, by the ladder from the North side. It was mildly sunny with a few clouds, a soft wind, and temperatures of around fifteen degrees. She paused a bit in the middle, taking a good sniff of the fruits. Delicious aromas filled her lungs; she could almost taste the fruits. She felt her Pokéball belt to make sure they were all there; 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Perfect. Silver Panic continued climbing the ladder. The plate was ten metres high and over three hundred metres in diameter, although the last several metres or so were covered with large fruits. It was mostly level and had no covering. She took another deep breath, and made her way to the trainer's box.

Mewtini, meanwhile, flew in on Swift. Patting her on the back, she recalled her and faced the accepter of her challenge. Just then, a pair of hands emerged on the west side of the plate. The referee, late as always, popped his head over the top of the plate. He apologized, then hastily asked the two opponents to send out their Pokémon.

Mewtini sent out first; Mintleaf emerged from the standard Pokéball, and crossed her arms and tapped her feet as she waited for the opposing Pokémon. Silver Panic looked at the impatient grass-type, then, deciding she didn't like the smugness, sent out a silkworm. Concordia looked at Mintleaf quizzically, then resumed munching her ever-present leaf. The referee sat on a relatively small green apple, and signaled for the battle to begin.

Round 1 begin!

Mintleaf acted first. With a smirk, she ran incredibly fast, given her short legs; struck Concordia so fast she didn't have time to dodge; and moved away just as fast. Concordia gave chase while shouting, "Run, like the coward you are. That's right, go on, you meanie. Off to hide behind a fruit, eh, spineless sissy Snivy?"

That wasn't right. Mintleaf shouldn't be the one being scoffed at; she should be the one scoffing. Full of hurt on the *obvious* copyright infringement, she suddenly changed direction and leapt at Concordia with a vine extended and slashed it across her body.

Concordia turned around and bit the vine which struck her. It tasted fresh and had a powerful mint taste, in contrast to the boring, tasteless leaf which she chewed on every day. Shrieking, Mintleaf retracted the vine and ran towards the edge of the plate, where she stopped by a kiwi. Those were always her favorite fruit, with the perfect balance of tartness and sweetness. This slice was a particularly fine specimen. Although she couldn't eat this delicacy, she bent down close and took a deep, long breath; not as good as actually consuming it, but oh well. The confusion in her head having been cleared somewhat, she could sense a nagging pain in her tail. The snake turned around - to see Sewaddle munching away on the leaves of her posterior. Again screaming in pain, she moved back to the centre of the arena, looking hopefully at the referee, who decided to take pity on her and end the round.

Pre-round

Mintleaf sulked beside her trainer, nursing her leaf and vine. Concordia didn't have any sense of aesthetics. The chewing was ragged. She could only hope that Concordia would not go into the beauty business.

Concordia slid to the plate's edge, looking at the dizzying view. She could make out the blooming daisies and buttercups. Farther along, there were a few trees, and, barely visible a couple of mountains with white peaks.

The referee signaled for the opponents to take their places. The two Pokémon went back to their spots, Mintleaf staring intensely at Concordia, and Concordia staring intensely at the horizon, even though her doctor advised against it.

Round 2 begin!

Mintleaf, still full of rage from the bad job Concordia had done, ran swiftly towards Concordia and struck her from behind. She leapt over Concordia and turned to face her, but Concordia didn't notice. Her eyes were open, but blank. She ceased think about the matters nagging on her head that were unimportant to this battle and slowly paced around while munching meditatively on her leaf.

Mintleaf looked incredulously. They were in the middle of a battle! Oh, well. That was okay by her. She started collecting sunlight in her leaves. She was too concentrated on that task to avoid the glob of purple toxins being fired at her. She tried to ignore the seeping feeling in her skin, slowly making its way into her body, seeping into her bloodstream...

She couldn't take it any longer. She fired the beam at the silkworm, but, even this powerful attack didn't seem to harm Concordia much. Mintleaf sighed and walked up to her opponent. "Say now," she said in an aggravating tone, "What's this? Too distracted to battle? Stuck in CandyLand? Earth calling Concordia! Are you going to fight, or are you going to sit there while you get beaten to a pulp?"

Concordia retained the same calm demeanor throughout this one-sided conversation. She composedly went and bit Mintleaf on the tail once more, this time balancing the two sides of Mintleaf's tail and at least demonstrating symmetry. There was hope yet for her to become a barber.

Pre-round

Mintleaf alternatively looked at her tail and Concordia, who was basking in the sun, preparing herself for another round of battle, although this particular battle didn't feel like one at all to Concordia. Mintleaf sighed. To win this battle, she and her trainer would have to do better than this. But how could she, when she was to protect while her opponent was sniffing the wondrous aroma of the fruits? Oh well. Mewtini did have her strange ways, and she respected that. There was mutual respect between the trainer and the Pokémon, even though Mintleaf knew that Mewtini wasn't the best ASB battler. She was glad to suffer defeat, if it meant her trainer would grow as a battler. Still, there were times such as this when she wished that Mewtini would battle a bit better.

Round 3 begin!

Mintleaf braced for the worst, even though she knew it was not coming. She could see outside the translucent shield that Concordia was leisurely strolling to a slice of watermelon and taking a deep breath while munching on her leaf. Mintleaf let the protective barrier down, while both trainers scratched their heads wondering why Mewtini wanted Mintleaf to protect.

Then she ran to Concordia and delivered another one of the familiar swift blows. Concordia looked like she almost expecting it, then made a scythe of air which swept across Mintleaf.

However, Mintleaf didn't even blink an eye while she prepared a whirlwind of leaves. She fired it slowly at Concordia, who, moving so slowly, had no chance to avoid it. It didn't, though, seem to have done much, especially considering the amount of energy Mintleaf spent on producing it.

Concordia summoned a wind, tinged silver and containing magical properties, which, unfortunately, did not affect Concordia. It struck Mintleaf who tumbled onto the smooth, hard surface and stayed stationary. Concordia went up and tapped Mintleaf. Mintleaf slapped her and glared at her before sharply turning away.

Pre-round

Mintleaf was nervous about this battle; she actually stood a chance against Concordia. The attacks for this round made sense, and she would soon go into Overgrow, if all went according to plan. Concordia, the consistently annoying bug, would be squashed soon.

The consistently awesome bug, however, did not have those concerns. She kept a cool mind and full mouth while she contemplated what would happen in this round.

Mintleaf, immediately upon the lowering of the referee's flags, ran very quickly to Concordia and delivered a blow. Concordia shook her head to clear her mind, and started running, as best as a Sewaddle can, around the plate. Her muscles got less tense and, now that she was warmed up, she ran much faster, as evidenced by the antecedence of the bite she made to Mintleaf's leaf. Then, a green glow established itself around Mintleaf.

Will she never change strategies? Mintleaf asked herself as she, ironically, tried to do what she did last action. However, she, in a daze, tripped and fell flat onto the smooth plate - right at Concordia's feet. Concordia didn't appreciate her intentions, though unexecuted, and demonstrated it by taking another bite out of Mintleaf's foliage. Taking a sad look at her now almost gone leaf, Mintleaf established an auric connection to Concordia and took some of her health, assisted by the chrome green aura, but even with this extra power the attack was barely felt by Concordia, who chewed her leaf even as the green link sapped her health.

Just a quick update to let you know that I'll ref this as soon as I get answer to a question, unless the answer comes later than tomorrow, in which case I'll just interpret this the way I think it would be.

Pre-round

Mintleaf struggled to stay standing. Her leaves throbbed from the less-than-gentle bites that Concordia had delivered. The air around her smelt strongly of mint. That, combined with the fruit, helped calmed her down, but not enough to focus on the next round and how to survive it.

Concordia, on the other hand, looked down at the blooming flowers in the meadow below. Arceus knew how the plate had gotten here, but it was probably crushing the poor plants below. There was no snow in this area of Asber. While flowers didn't quite bloom year-round, the weather was mild in comparison to many areas of the region. She crawled back over to her starting place, and the referee signaled for the round to start.

Each Pokémon stared intensely at the other. The seconds ticked by. Seeing as no Pokémon would make a move, Concordia started to lace the air with silver spirits while Mintleaf set up a shield around herself. The silver wind moved around the green shield unremarkably from a side view but prettily from a bird's eye view. She continued to make the wind blow for as long as she could, and then made did it another time.

Mintleaf tried to hold her protect shield, but simply couldn't. She let it down, and was almost instantaneously knocked out. The referee waved his flags in the air, ending the round, but Concordia went and sniffed the fruits anyways, even though she knew it would not replenish her energy.
