And sreservoir, what exactly does the room look like?

Let's show them a case of BRO. No not roggenrolla but snivy and growlithe

uh. how does a brightly-lit empty room without windows or doors sound? make something up, I'm sure you're more imaginative than I am.

well, snivy has troll speed, so ... wait, why does everything I have have terrible speed? Narya and EruGod, then. the stupidly large movepools should make up for that.

God: thunder wave the growlithe and snivy, and then psych up on Narya. if at any point a status move is aimed at you, magic coat it back, and don't bother with the snivy, unless it's the third action, in which case go ahead and psych up.

Narya: swagger at the growlithe twice, then power swap with it. if a status move targets you, magic coat it, then drop a swagger, unless it's the third action.

God: thunder wave @ growlithe / magic coat ~ thunder wave @ growlithe / thunder wave @ snivy / ~ psych up @ Narya

Narya: swagger @ growlithe / magic coat ~ swagger @ growlithe / magic coat ~ power swap @ growlithe

hm? is TAUNT a status move?
*looks up*

awww man

Lets go for a Substitute, RK-9. Show them their girly thunder waves can't do CRAP. You too, Smugleaf. Then proceed to toxic- no that's a damn status move too. Instead, RK-9, you can use Howl. Smugleaf use Coil. Do the same thing you did on your second turn.

Ampharos finally found the room he had been searching for. res had given him the best instructions possible, and so it was his fault that it took him forever to find the place. He came across a plain white room, lit by some otherworldly force with no windows. The door he entered also disappeared as he entered, making him feel slightly nervous. Just as he was about to start the battle he suddenly felt greatly sluggish, and he could tell he was not the only one. The rest of the Pokemon in the room were bent over, cringing with their extra weight. Ampharos could tell the battle was to be interesting.

Smugleaf, Narya, and RK-9 were all almost the same speed, but Narya was able to move first by a millisecond. She began to strut around the uninteresting room, seemingly unaffected by the increase in gravity, holding her head miraculously high for the situation, spouting insults at the Growlithe. RK-9 (Oh god the NAME) attempted to ignore it for a second, but being a naturally proud Pokemon he quickly felt horribly aggravated by the verbal bashing. He quickly started to feel that he was in a rage, and he hissed at Narya, who was happy her attack had taken effect quickly. Smugleaf ignored the taunts that were being made at his partner, and began to build a substitute. The instant he thought it, material for making it, squishy green clay, appeared right before him. Using his “amazing” artistic skills he made it look at least like some sort of bipedal Pokemon, though calling it a Snivy was pushing it. He stared happily at his work, and then poured a little more than a seventh of his health into it, making it living, to some extent. The “Snivy” hopped up in the air slightly and then positioned itself in front of Smugleaf, making the Pokemon feel even more like his namesake

Now RK-9 still felt quite angry, but he was able to take control of his situation, and he began to perform his attack instead of simply falling over in anger. Out of nowhere some green clay formed before him. RK-9, happy with the instant material, began to mould it into what he believed look like a scale model of himself. He then gritted his teeth as he poured a small bit of his life force into the doll. There before both Pokemon were rough copies of themselves, protecting them from attacks. God, the now less free Porygon thanks to the increase in gravitational force analyzed his situation. He produced a low beep that transmitted his displeasure. He was well aware that his attack would do next to nothing to either of his opponents. He grudgingly generated a current of discombobulating electric energy of a light blue colour. He fired off this weak blast at the Growlithe, but his Substitute jumped up and blocked the attack, taking the blow quite effectively. God let out another depressing beep that represented a sigh. He was getting nowhere.

Narya also felt just as annoyed as God, though she actually sighed in response to this. Though it sounded more like a shy bark to anybody listening, not a human sigh in the slightest. The began to strut around once more, cringing as the force of gravity pressed down hard on her neck. Her attack was in vain though. Everytime she attempted to get a good look at RK-9 the substitute jumped in front of her, loosening her concentration and making it utterly impossible to deliver any insults. Finally she just backed up and gave up. The substitute had won that round. Smugleaf was as calm and cool as anybody, and he was about to make his position that much greater in the battle. The Snivy felt perfectly safe behind his substitute, and thus he relaxed completely and curled himself into a small coil like that of a regular snake. He tightened up his skin as he sat there, increasing his defences greatly. He also felt his attacking power increase, as his current position left him ready to attack at any moment. He continued to sit there, revelling in his continued protection

RK-9, utterly confused unto what his opponent had tried to do, simply shrugged (or attempted to) and continued on. He tried to focus on his attack, truly he did, but the words of his opponent from last round were slowly worming their way into his conscience, making him more and more angry. Finally, he let loose his emotions and charged straight for Narya. However, he forgot about his Substitute, and he tripped over the reincarnation, successfully stopping his attack in its tracks. As he hit the floor he was knocked back into some sense, and he backed away much less angrily. God saw this epic failure of an attack, and started to feel slightly better about his current situation. At least he wasn’t flopping around like a rag doll. Of course, there wasn’t much he could do at the present moment with no way to inflict any sort of pain or hindrance on his opponents. He once again generated an ever-useless electric current, not meant to inflict pain but to simply make movement much worse for his opponents. He sent the weak blast forward, this time at Smugleaf, but of course the ever-present substitute blocked the onslaught, preventing God from accomplishing anything.

Narya, and her trainer for that matter, had expected RK-9 to be much more fired up at the current moment than he actually was, but there was nothing more she could do. Substitutes were substitutes, as annoying as ever. Narya began to establish a mental link with the Growlithe, knowing that the Substitute could not stop mental attacks. However, she did not intend to attack RK-9, simply make her situation much better. She felt the angry drive that the Growlithe was feeling thanks to being swaggered, and she carefully transferred this aggression into herself. In return the Growlithe was given her own battle drive, which was not much considering she had not gotten a single boost. Smugleaf had not really understood what had just happened, having been coiled up and in a relatively bad position for viewing, and he didn’t really understand mental connections anyway. However, it did not concern him, only his partner. He tightened himself even more, feeling his skin harden as his defense stat was raised. He felt like a true viper, ready to strike at any moment, and ready to win this battle using any means necessary.

RK-9 still felt as confused as ever, but now he did not feel quite as aggressive, his head just hurt. However, he managed to gather his thoughts this time, and he planned to do exactly what his trainer had told him to do. He faced the ceiling above him, and though he could not see the sky he could still feel his connection with it. He let loose a long and sad howl, causing the other Pokemon in the room to feel slightly nervous. RK-9 however felt much more rejuvenated, and he felt like he was getting his old fighting spirit back. He was still slightly addled thanks to the Swagger, but he was strong again. God, meanwhile, was happy that he finally had something to do. He performed his own mental connection with his Vulpix partner, and he was welcomed with open “arms”. Once in the strange confines of Narya’s head he began to copy the stat changes that the Vulpix had acquired from RK-9, making them his own as well as Narya’s. Soon both Pokemon belonging to sreservoir were greatly powerful and ready to finally wreak havoc. As the round ended both Pokemon felt their spines stretch out again, the gravity returning to normal.

you seem to have gotten rk-9's ability wrong in at least one place, smugleaf should also have +2 accuracy, and psych up replaces, not adds to, existing stat changes.

and how does confusionfail, a base 40 typeless attack, do a mere 2% at +2?

Fixed the ability (and the consequential stat changes), Accuracy can not be raised above zero (according to the AaAG), and fixed Psych Up.

Fixed confusion damage (though, for the record, according to Bulbapedia it's a 40-power typeless attack).

And now you see why I don't attempt to ref when I'm not in a writing mood. Buh

Power swap swaps the attacks, not stat changes. Silly, silly man. Also Growlithe has intimidate.

RK: use howl, then hit Narya with 2 Crunches.
Smugleaf: Start pounding God to death. Use 3 Leaf Blades.

WE GOIN' ALL OUT OFFENSIVE YEAHHH

I wasn't being silly, my mind was being defiant, as you can see by the above quote. Anyway, apologies to both you and res

Just edit the fact that Intimidate lowers the attack stat of God and Narya and RK still has his +1 attack.

Just edit the fact that Intimidate lowers the attack stat of God and Narya and RK still has his +1 attack.

wait.

intimidate gives -1 attack to narya and god.

swagger gives +2 attack to rk-9, putting it at +2.

narya uses power swap on rk-9, putting it at -1 and giving narya +2.

rk-9 uses howl, bringing it back to +1.

god uses psych up on narya, bringing it also up to +2 attack.

should be rk-9 ±0, smugleaf +2/+2(/+2), narya +2, god +2; I see nothing wrong?

We settled this on VM a few minutes ago. He thought it was the attack stats of the Pokemon (like in the games) and not the boosts and reductions.

No you got it right, I misread ASB logic

Are you gonna attack?

narya: round at the growlithe's substitute to let god move reasonably quickly and get rid of the snivy's substitute. (up-grade should just about make it work, I think?) disable the snivy's leaf blade, get hit by a crunch, disable that.

As soon as the Round began, all three trainers standing in the room felt a small pang of nausea. Ampharos gasped, and recognizing the effects, checked his watch. Yep, the second hand was running backwards, time had been reversed. God was the first of the Pokemon to feel the strange effects, and realized with a burst of robotic happiness that he was now faster than everybody else in the vicinity, meaning this round would be very good from his standpoint. He began by accessing his vocal processors, and in the same matter as how he would speak normally; he began to broadcast the sound of a recorded voice singing. The tune that emanate from him was a very happy and energetic tune that really got everybody feeling happy. At least on sreservoir’s side. RK and Smugleaf were putoff by the joyful tune, and they narrowed their eyes. Narya recognized the tune, it was one that most Pokemon knew, and she began to join in, a fox-like smile on her face. The sound was now reverberating through the arena, even though no walls were present to echo the sound. Smugleaf was now covering his ears, the sound horrible loud. RK-9 could do nothing but wait for the sound to end. The Substitutes were also not taking it very well. The power of God’s Round was enough to destroy them, making the Vulpix’s tune hurt the two Pokemon themselves. Though the turn order had been reversed, the same effect that had been intended was what happened, making God and Narya quite happy.

RK-9 was not exactly happy that the slow little Porygon was able to attack faster than him, but he was secretly enjoying the fact that he was outspeeding his partner. Smugleaf of course, was not taking the time change very lightly, and like the trainers he was feeling nauseous from the change. RK-9 raised his head to the white sky/ceiling/whatever that was positioned above him. RK-9 was now starting to feel slightly claustrophobic, as he looked up, unable to see the moon that was always there. Not even a silhouette far off, still visible in the light of the sun. He whimpered as he realized that the Trick Room was messing with him more than he thought. He was attacking, wasn’t he? Yeah, he supposed to be hurting Narya, right? He ran forward, and promptly tripped over, well, nothing. He hit the ground hard, and whimpered as more damage flooded into him. He backed up, realizing that he had failed. Smugleaf really didn’t want to attack at that point, wishing that he could just sit down and let this horrible arena effect wear off. And yet he was forced to, and so he charged forward, almost drunkenly, and at the same time sharpened the leaves on his tail. As he approached God he did a half pirouette that made him feel oh so manly. The spin caused his tail leaves to swing out, badly cutting the Porygon. God backed away as he felt the first bit of damage from the entire battle.

God was once again given the opportunity to attack first, and of course he took it. Now he was to attack the Growlithe that had just attempted to get an emotional boost. Of course, the poor confused thing had failed, and now he was going to make him feel even worse. He tapped into a secretive power that he had learned in his days in Hoenn many years ago. An attack that relied much on the current terrain, God couldn’t really see it changing much in the insanely unnatural area they were fighting in, and so he fired off the normal version of the attack. From his polygonal body a brilliant white beam, seemingly lighter in pigment than the room itself zoomed forward. The powerful beam struck the discouraged Growlithe, to which the animal whimpered once more. The beam hadn’t paralyzed him, quite luckily, but he was still depressed. He decided to retaliate, but not against the one who had just hurt him. He decided to let the Vulpix feel what it was like to feel pain from a Growlithe. He rushed forward, at this moment not afflicted by the haze in his head. He opened his jaws wide, and let dark energy flood into them. When he got close to Narya he sunk them deep into her flesh, producing a small stream of blood. The Vulpix yelped as the pain dug into her, but she bit back the tears and shook the Growlithe off. That had hurt, and she was going to get her revenge.

Smugleaf took small joy in the fact that he was outspeeding the pesky Vulpix in the current situation. He once again took the opportunity to harm his Proygon opponent. He charged forward, tail leaves bristling, having finally started to master the crazy reversed time dimension. Thus he didn’t look quite as intoxicated, and he was able to run with his old vigour, or at least close to hit. He jumped up and spun once more, letting his razor sharp tail slice right through the “skin” of God. The Porygon let out a low buzz to show his displeasure, and the Snivy took the hint, backing away to avoid any serious injury that might occur. Narya now finally got the chance to attack, having waited a while between the Round and this next attack. She crouched down and squeezed her eyes shut, searching around the mental airwaves for a sign of Smugleaf. As she did this she started to feel more and more dizzy from the Trick Room. She was unable to find Smugleaf’s signal very fast, and when she did the Snivy had prepared himself, making the walls of his mind impenetrable. Narya returned to her own mind dejectedly, knowing she had failed.

God knew he was going to miss the ability to attack first, and so he decided he was going to make the best of it. Sadly, he wasn’t being ordered to blow somebody up or something along those lines. Alas, one couldn’t always get what they wanted. He began to use his psychic powers to increase the gravity in the arena, the same effect that all of the competitors had recently experienced. However, as hard as he tried, he couldn’t seem to do a thing. He looked over at the ref, who though now looked very pale and sickly, was holding up a flag, meaning that the move God was attempting to use was not going to work. God sighed, his trainer wasn’t exactly displaying fountains of intelligence, considering res had found the arena and should’ve known the rules that were in place. RK now saw his opportunity to get another attack, his opponent having been stopped by the referee. Once again he couldn’t attack the Porygon, his partner was dealing with that, so he ran forward at his other opponent, the Vulpix who also wasn’t accomplishing much. His mandibles opened up once more, and he could feel dark energy coat them and stick like glue. He dug them into Narya once more, and once again the Vulpix cried out, visibly stricken from the horrible pain she was suffering from. She then hissed, and RK-9 happily backed off.

Smugleaf rejoiced at the fact that he was finally going to be able to attack normally after this last action, meaning his Leaf Blades wouldn’t be as clumsy. He worried that he might be attacked by another mental assault from Narya, and he didn’t know what that had been meant to do. He charged forward for the last time in the round, now tired of tightening up the leaves that stretched behind him. He decided not to waste the energy by jumping this time, so he simply turned around once he reached God, whipping his leaves so that they struck God once more. The Porygon was now infuriated, as his partner had failed to stop the assault on him. Narya was now attempting to make amends, though she was no longer targeting Smugleaf. This time when she closed her eyes looking for mental signals she worked fast, and she was able to find RK-9’s aura almost immediately. She made her way in quickly, no walls able to stop her in time. Soon she found the data in his brain that made him use Crunch. She quickly blocked off this data as well as she could, not letting the Growlithe use it again any time soon. She returned back to her body just as she felt time return to normal, the world running smoothly again. That was a relief.
