A platter placed on a table in Sugarcube Corner's basement. It cannot be dug into and does not rust. The stage itself is nothing out of the ordinary.

However, each round Pinkie Pie will arrive and feed each Pokemon a cupcake specifically made from a certain pony. Specific afflictions and boosts are received based on what pony the cupcake was made out of. Each cupcake can only be served once, and the effects of them only last for that round. The list of the cupcakes and their effects are listed:

Twilight: Will inflict a STAB psychic attack on the person who eats it.

Applejack: Each pokemon will gain +1 attack and +1 defense because bulkiness.

Rarity: Will heal 5% health and energy with generosity.

Rainbow Dash: Each pokemon will gain +3 speed.

Fluttershy: Attack and special attack lowered -2 with status affects removed.

Celestia: Each pokemon will go God Tier and become their final stage.

Luna: It will become night. All weather will be removed and dark/ghost type moves will gain a STAB boost in addition to STAB.

Lyra: If Bon-Bon was eaten within two rounds then both pokemon will become attracted to each other.

DJ-PON3: Special attack and special defense will be raised by +1 because of coolness.

Bon-Bon: If Lyra was eaten within two rounds then both pokemon will become attracted to each other.

Derpy: Each pokemon becomes confused.

Baked bads: Each pokemon will lose 5% health and 5% energy.

Big Macintosh: Each pokemon will lose -3 speed because he's slow, but they wikl also gain +2 attack because of his bulk.

Trixie: Each pokemon will gain +3 in every stat, but be inflicted with confusion, burn, and paralysis.

If the battle lasts through every possible cupcake, Pinkie Pie will come in every round and inflict 10% damage on every Pokemon until there is a victor.

I would use Karkat but recently I realized fifth gen movepools on a whole suck.

Safeguard first, followed by confuse ray and then psychic. If Officer ever protects/detects/does something so you can't hit him/does something that would make your attack ineffective use calm mind.

As Superbird teleports into the basement of Sugarcube corner, he instantly feels a horribly ominous feeling. He read the fanfiction about this one, and resolves to stay as far away from Pinkie Pie when she comes in as possible. Until then, however, he decides to wait for the two contestants. It is not long before Glace and Mai each teleport into the room at the same time, on opposite sides of the huge cupcake platter. Glace recalls the Ralts he used to come in with, throwing out another poké ball which materializes into a Stunfisk. Mai simply nudges Nephtys forward, with the Ralts eagerly complying. Then, it’s time for the battle to start as Superbird pulls out his reffing flags.


To start off the fight, Nephtys decides to give herself a little protection. She raises her arms up, opening her mouth to mutter a short spell, and soon a hemisphere of translucent yellowish energy has formed over her. To Officer, the thing looks like a Safeguard. On the force, they use ‘em all the time. Stops those criminals from getting away. Anyhow, it’s a good thing he’s not looking to use status to win; all he needs is Brute Force. As quickly as a Stunfisk can, Officer rushes forward. At 5 miles per hour. But it’s all good, because as soon as he gets close to Nephtys he leaps up, bulldozing her into the ground.

As Officer hops back, satisfied that he’s done a pretty good job of that, Nephtys struggles to get up. That thing, like, permanently weighted her legs with that attack. Ugh! At least her Safeguard is still up. As she looks through it, she sees Officer beginning to attempt to burrow through the plate they’re all standing on. She chuckles a little. What a dope, thinking he can dig through solid steel! The Ralts then waves her arm in front of her, releasing a little glowing ball that floats forward. It soon succeeds in capturing Officer’s attention, as the Stunfisk loses intrest in his hole and instead begins to follow the thing with his eyes.

But even though the little glowy orb is an interesting little thing, Officer is a cop, and he knows how to resist these things. Ignoring the orb for a moment, he thinks about how he can best anger his opponent. He concludes that he can easily do so by gloating about how stupid his opponent is, how he hasn’t even taken ant damage yet, and how ineffective her attacks are. Nephtys’s emotions begin to flare up, but luckily for her her Safeguard stops her from going blind with rage. That Anger boost will help her in the future, but now she’s got other stuff to worry about. Using her psychic power, Nephtys concentrates pure energy info one point, right in front of Officer. Reality is twisted, and the Stunfisk is battered around by the attack until it stops and he falls to the ground.

Suddenly, though, Superbird sees something and immediately hides behind a large box off to the side. The pokémon are confused as to what he’s doing that for, until they see a gigantic pink pony with a picture of balloons on her flank come into the basement. Pinkie Pie walks over to the table and places two small purple cupcakes with blue-and-orange sprinkles on it; one for each of the battlers. Deciding it can’t hurt to try one, Nephtys takes a bite. Officer, though wary, also succumbs to the delicious-looking nature of the cupcakes and takes a bite of his own. Then, suddenly, the cupcakes disappear and both of the battlers are struck with a blast of energy almost identical to the one Nephtys just used on Officer. As soon as Pinkie Pie leaves, Superbird rushes out and waves his flags to signal the round to end.

•This round, Pinkie Pie served Twilight Sparkle cupcakes to the battlers. I assume this is how it works, she gives the same cupcake to both of them.

ANYWAYS let's try to make Mai's chances of winning fall from 100% to 99%, 'kay Officer?

Alright... Use Double Team to make 5 clones. Then use Earthquake and Thunderbolt. If Nepthys Taunts you, use Thunderbolt instead of Double Team. If they status you, Facade for the last two actions. And if they Torment you on those two actions, use Earthquake on the third.

If you actually haven't read Cupcakes before this I think I might die of laughter.

How exactly is Mafia Roleblocker's Nephtys' special stats at +1 and -1? She didn't calm mind, which should leave her special stats unaffected. Unless the psychic by the Twilight Sparkle cupcake (yes, that's how it works) reduced her special defense, but either way I think her special attack should be normal. I might be forgetting something, though.

Anyway, Nephtys. You'll do fine, my dear~

I believe you're slower than Officer now, so wait until he has those clones good and ready before you terminate them with magical leaf. Then, ice punch twice due to that nice attack boost he gave you last round. Have fun with this; I doubt facade would work with the type of status freeze gives.

As the second round begins, Officer readies himself for an attack. He thinks about his orders a bit first, though—there’s no way in heck a Stunfisk like him (at least in his current state) could make five clones. Two, though, he feels like he can manage. He begins to hop around, but then the little glowy light from before flits in front of his face, catching his attention and making him fall down pathetically instead of completing his attack successfully. Meanwhile, Nephtys chuckles a bit; her attack now is half-useless! But it’ll still work. The Ralts raises her arms, releasing a barrage of glowing leaves. The leaves all hone in on Officer, cutting into the Stunfisk’s body as he struggles to ignore the little glowing orb of light.

Soon he succeeds, and is back on his…whatever it is that Stunfisk stand on. He quickly decides to trip his foe up for that mean little barrage just now. Officer focuses, then jumps as high as he can—which, admittedly, is not all that high. But the real brunt of the attack comes when he slams himself down on the cupcake platter. Circular waves extend in every direction, and though they seem to have no effect on the humans in the arena, Nephtys is thrown back and forth by the huge tremor.

Well, that wasn’t very nice at all!, thinks Nephtys as she pushes herself off of the ground and dusts herself off. Let’s see how he likes this! The Ralts pauses for a second before dashing straight forward at Officer, her hand beginning to glow a light bluish color. She leaps up, fist reeled back, then as she comes down above Officer’s head, she slams it down in his face. The attack chills Officer to the bone, but the Stunfisk was prepared for the attack—only when Nephtys returns to her own side of the battlefield does she notice the citation for Assault and Battery stuck to her arm.

She examines the ticket for a second, then stuffs it inside her robe. Whatever it was, it was probably useless. As Officer watches, he begins to get angry. How dare she just brush that ticket off like it was nothing! In retaliation, the Stunfisk begins to charge himself with electricity, discharging a giant bolt toward Nephtys. The Thunderbolt strikes her hard, but she manages to concentrate on her own attack, rushing forward again as soon as the electricity dies down. A moment later, Officer has had his face bashed in again, and Nephtys is stuck with yet another citation on her arm.

And thus the three actions of the round were over. Nephtys stashed the second ticket inside her robe as well, then began to look for the referee. He, like, disappeared or something. Then, a shadow fell over the platter. Oh, that explained a lot. As Pinkie Pie’s pink flank disappeared up the staircase to the main room of Sugarcube Corner, two cupcakes with white frosting and shiny sprinkles plopped down, one in front of each of the battlers. As each of the pokémon nervously eats their cupcake, they realize that this one is much better than the last one; they feel healthier rather than hurt now. And there Superbird is, waving his flags to close the round now that Pinkie is gone.

I totally forgot about the sig attribute. Good job noticing things, Mai. *Facepalm* Oh well.

If you still have the safeguard, drop it. Will-o-wisp first, then followed up by psychic and then ice punch only if Officer is burned. If Officer is not burned, use psychic. If Officer protects/detects/does something so you can't hit him/does something where your attack would be ineffective (there is a difference), use calm mind the first two actions and chill the last.

Officer now knows his opponent and what her deal is. He also knows, from his crimefighting experience, exactly how to counter the Ralts. Her next move is probably set to immobilize him somehow. Well, he won’t let that happen! Jerking his body up straight, Officer releases a portion of his health from his body. The loose energy immediately forms into a strange green-and-white dinosaur-shaped doll which promptly lands in front of Officer, ready to protect its creator from anything his opponent might be willing to throw at him.

…And speak of the devil, there she is launching an attack right now. As it turns out, Nephtys has been charging up her own little bit of energy for a while now. But seeing that Officer has taken protective measures, she instead decides to raise her own stats a little for her next opportunity to attack. The Ralts lowers her head and concentrates on not concentrating. It actually works surprisingly well, and as her mental abilities are heightened by her suddenly calm mind Nephtys lifts her head, ready to battle again.

This makes a perfect opportunity for Officer to do a little bit of unconventional trickery. Well, unconventional in the police force, at least. Anyway, Officer begins his attack by displaying the best bambi eyes he can and putting on his best smile. He then attempts to flirt with his opponent, saying (falsely, of course, but still convincingly) that he’s really sorry he created the substitute that forced her to reconsider her attack. The Stunfisk then begins to serenade Nephtys with several crude songs about her beauty. Despite his horrible performance, the tactic seems to work on Nephtys, as the Ralts becomes lost in temporary infatuation for a while and forgets to do something of importance.

Taking advantage of his opponent’s sudden infatuation, Officer leaps up as high as he can to begin his next attack. At the peak of his jump, the Stunfisk focuses all of his energy on coming down hard. Sure enough, he hits the giant silver cupcake platter with a very significant amount of force, dispelling tall waves in every direction. Though they only ripple the battlefield a little for the humans in the area, the Earthquake attack has a significant effect on Nephtys, who gets heavily battered as the platter beneath her feet tosses her up and down.

Nephtys gets up from the attack, shaking her head. That hurt. And she can barely believe she spent her last action in awe of her god-ugly opponent. Ugh, that…thing poisoned her mind! Unforgivable! Angrily, Nephtys closes her eyes to access her psychic powers yet again. This time, she figures she’ll try a mental attack. She calculates mentally exactly where her opponent is, and then spontaneously injects as much psychic power as she can into that one spot. Nephtys opens her eyes to see Officer staring nervously at his Substitute, which is quite obviously just hanging from a thread.

Then, Nephtys’s eyes widen too as another shadow falls over the battlefield. Suddenly, two big red cupcakes plop down, one in front of each battler. Officer likes the color, and eagerly takes a bite out of the newest confection. Seeing him, and remembering the favorable effect of the last cupcake, Nephtys decides to eat some as well. Soon, both of the pokemon are bulked up, with the apple-flavored cupcake infused in their bones.

I could probably go ahead and exploit this to an uncertain outcome, but I'd rather not take the risk. There's a problem with your first action commands. Officer is supposed to use toxic if Nephtys attacks, and double team if she tries something tricksy that would mess up the attack, but you never specify which is more important if, say, Nephtys statboosts (which fits neither of the criteria) or uses swagger/something similar that doesn't dodge nor damage. What's the go-to command here?

So, Nephtys. I see that you're still a bit infatuated with him; sure thing, it's just a fact that you have a little crush. But, see this. He's so... ugly. Now, you know the rules here. Love transcends all bounds! But that's only when you two are meant to be, and considering how he tried to hurt you it seems he's not all that in love. Let's give him a chance, sure! Just don't expect too much from him. Didn't you hear about Lover's little in-battle fling? That didn't end too well, so be wary. Just be careful, okay? Don't get your heart broken.

First, take control of his substitute with psychic. Don't throw it around or anything; just show you're not the only one in this relationship. Say he tries to something your way, you know, maybe a kiss? Use the substitute as a shield; it's not like it'll affect anything. And say he tries to create some clones, despite his slow speed, why don't you help him out a bit? Fling the substitute out at him to give Officer a hug, give him a fair reason to flop fast. Maybe you're flinging it at one out of two Officers--that's fine, a hug is a hug and it'll show him you're just dying to amp this relationship up a bit. Or maybe not. Maybe you just want a little healthy revenge; that's cool too.

If you feel like doing that would be just treacherous, just protect and contemplate your status with that... gorgeous police officer. Wouldn't he look just beautiful through shades of green?

Next, use telekinesis to lift Officer up in the air. Haven't you heard that song? Sure, normally the roles would be switched here and there isn't really a carpet, but gender equality exists; it's your turn to be chivalrous. Unless there's two or so Officers standing you down; if so, send them a beautiful not really bouquet of magical leaves.

Next, you might as well try to see if he likes you back. After all, has he showed that much affection? You know nothing about him, what if he has a beautiful lady stunfisk back home? You better make sure, and maybe send him a message along the way. Rifle through his mind with psychic, and make sure to apologize if you accidently set off a few nerve cells.

Bon-Bon: If Lyra was eaten within two rounds then both pokemon will become attracted to each other.
Derpy: Each pokemon becomes confused.
Baked bads: Each pokemon will lose 5% health and 5% energy.
Big Macintosh: Each pokemon will lose -3 speed because he's slow, but they wikl also gain +2 attack because of his bulk.
Trixie: Each pokemon will gain +3 in every stat, but be inflicted with confusion, burn, and paralysis.

If the battle lasts through every possible cupcake, Pinkie Pie will come in every round and inflict 10% damage on every Pokemon until there is a victor.

Officer wasted no time in starting the round this time around. Without delay, he opened his mouth and gurgled some saliva. His poison-type ancestors had instilled to him the great and almighty poisonous saliva, and he thought it a shame not to be able to use it. So he used it, flinging a large ball of toxic goop at his opponent. The Ralts barely noticed until the blob was in flight; at that point a few thoughts flew rapidly through her head. First it was ‘There’s a Toxic headed straight for me’, then ‘I should use Protect’, then ‘Oh, he’s so handsome…’. Upon the third thought, she felt the sting of the toxic goop as it sank into her bloodstream. She cursed. That was not supposed to happen.

Officer grinned broadly. Mission accomplished. Now onto the next one. He moved straight from one action to the next, and as soon as he had launched the Toxic attack, he decided to make a major impact; cause some honest-to-goodness damage to his opponent. So he got into position, and then sprung up as high as a Stunfisk can, coming down hard enough to send shockwaves through the ground. They were powerful shock waves, too – the Ralts barely knew what hit it.

Barely. It did know what its opponent had done, and no matter how handsome he was she was not going to let him get away with it. But instead of having to hurt him, she decided to do something else that wouldn’t be as aggressive. She used her psychic powers and focused on Officer. Soon, the Stunfisk’s Substitute began to levitate a meter or so off the ground. Nephtys stared. That wasn’t supposed to happen. With Officer smiling confidently – even meanly – at her, she felt unsafe; a good prediction, as she was soon hit by another powerful shockwave.

Well, Nephtys figured, even if she couldn’t immobilize him, she could at least rifle through his thoughts. Maybe see what he was thinking about her. Perhaps try to levitate him again. She closed her eyes, and focused on her opponent, looking into his head, but slipping too soon and causing damage. At first she figured she had just damaged him – not that bad, since she was in a battle, after all. But instead, when she opened her eyes at the end of the Psychic attack, she saw Officer’s Substitute explode into nothing. She cursed briefly, being cut off when a burnt cupcake slammed down in front of her. Figuring it couldn’t hurt too much – the last two didn’t, after all – she bit into the giant pastry. Officer did the same, hoping it would get him out of the telekinesis. Sadly, it didn’t – the horrible taste of the stuff was more hurtful than helpful.

Does Nephtys/Ma'at have a chance of infatuation on non-harmful attacks? The wording implies that she doesn't, which is probably because you meant it that way but I don't want to assume things.

EDIT: Also, Ma'at doesn't have her poisoning listed in the end-of-round stats.

Ah, I knew I was forgetting something.

The way you worded your commands, I gave her a lesser chance of full infatuation, but it still happened (RNG is fickle...). And yes, she can be fully infatuated for non-damaging attacks, by being too distracted by looking at Officer (which is what happened with the Protect; it rolled a 97, which would have done full infatuation at a severe level no matter how lenient I was being).
