The Cafe of Doom is no longer a cafe- It's just a huge uneven crater, although the recent trauma he revealed diamonds, iron, lapis, and newly-formed obsidian. Construction crews and fortune seekers are rushing to the area. Therefore, there is a 10%chance of one of those guys doing 5% damage to a Pokemon.
There's also a food stand. A Pokemon may use an action getting some food. However, the food they will get will be random.
It serves:
Cupcakes- -5% energy but restores 5% health
Sammich- 10% energy and health, defense and attack +1
Gummy Bears- +1 to every stat
Salad- Remove all status effects
Lava- -10% health,burned.
Garbage- -2 every stat,poisoned.
~awesome sauce~ -The Pokemon will go to their final stage of evolution. If the Pokemon can't evolve, then the Pokemon is Paralyzed,Burned,Poisoned but will get +1 in Speed.
Arena status: Unchanged.
-----
The location in which the three people were arriving was a Café in name only -- cataclysms unknown to the narrative point of view had at some point reduced it to a large crater. The upset has revealed reserves of precious mineral material beneath the doomed pub's grounds, surprisingly; there was a busy, chaotic scurry of interested parties all over the resource veins, frequently making it harder to settle proper battling space.
Ultimately clearing a range near a food stand, the trio took positions. The trainers faced one another, with Metallica Fanboy standing between them. After some standard procedure rule-reading, the sendouts began.
MysticMoon released an oddly shaped Pokémon, colored brown as clay. It wiggled about as it balanced on its only foot, bladelike arms wide open. In response, Zapi unleashed a dull green critter whose adorable red eyes counterpoised large, intimidating tusks. She gave her opponent a doubtful stare as the commands were issued.
One more signal from the referee started the match.
Johanna soon came across a chunk of some sort sticking out from the ground. Most likely, it was valuable and would not only yield considerable profits but maybe even matter in life-or-death situations. None of this was ever given a passing consideration as she unceremoniously unearthed it and scuplted it into a likeness of herself with her tusks. The final touch was a surge of life force that gave it consciousness and a will to protect its master. An interested passerby picked the Substitute up, but it lashed out at him, causing him to flee.
Meanwhile, the Baltoy tuned up with mysterious forces, glowing with brillant light as it received their protection, a power capable of slightly warding energy of all sorts.
Not paying it any mind, the Axew carried out the next of her commands. Her proximity to the rushing people at first appeared to be an impediment to a Swords Dance, but she found that randomly striking people only made it that much more satisfying as she lifted her spirits with boisterous movement. When she settled, she felt something stir up... And then it came to life as clear as could be: a wicked, swirling wind slammed sand and debris everywhere.
Taking this as a cue to watch her opponent more carefully, the dinosaur Pokémon awakened her draconic powers, glowing green-blue and nearly appearing to burn. She charged away at the enemy, delivering a sharp slash across the torso. The forceful strike nearly upset its balance, but somehow, it managed to right itself after a couple meters of recoil.
Not attacking just yet in spite of the heavy blow, the doll Pokémon shut the world outside it as it concentrated on itself, its deep meditation leading it to a calmer, more focused frame of mind. It would feel readier to take on the powerful foe.
The fury of the Sandstorm was relentless. MysticMoon's Baltoy was perfectly nonchalant before it, with both an elemental strenght and an environmental accostumation going for it; on the other hand, Johanna was helpless before the raking flow, earning minor gashes as well as deep annoyance. Passerby were also extremely unnerved by the phenomenon, although they couldn't tell it was a result of battle.

Additional notes:
- The 10% of trampling event chance is rolled per round or per action?
- I also don't quite get some of the foods. The sammich, for example -- does it cost 10% each of health and energy to consume, or does it heal these? While the latter would normally be assumed, the description for the cupcakes seems to imply otherwise.
- It was never outright answered last time this came up, but it appears to be that Sandstorm causes damage to Pokémon with Substitutes, but not to Substitutes themselves.
- MysticMoon commands first next round.
