Notes:
- I feel like I haven’t reffed in forever...!
- Wouldn’t be more fair if the two pokemon on the side with two pokemon represent 1 Exp each? A pokemon gets 1 Exp just for sending out in battle, so, if we don't change anything, if bulbasaur wins, he will have 3 + 3 = 6 exp in total. If Dragon wins, she will have 2 + 3 = 5 exp in total.
- Although Dragon is the one who chose to use 2 pokemon, so...
- Dragon is on the side with 2 pokemon. Bulbasaur is on the side with 3.
- bulbasaur sends out 2 pokemon
- Dragon sends out 2 pokemon
- bulbasaur sends out 1 pokemon and commands
- Dragon commands
- I try to not screw up too much

Well, Dragon could just switch a Pokémon in and back out for 6 EXP.

Let's go, Aurum and Bagon!

But I only have two Pokemon to send out D: I thought we agreed to having 2+4 exp on my side or something in the Challenge Board but now I don't remember the conditions for that.

In any case, let's see what we can do, Tagg and Venipede! And maybe in the middle of this you can get a real name.

Hm. Should we give Dragon one "free" exp to throw onto whichever pokemon to make up for sending out one fewer? Since, assuming that Dragon loses horribly without fainting any of bulbasaur's pokemon, she will have 2 exp total. Assuming that bulbasaur loses horribly without fainting any of Dragon's pokemon, he'll receive 3 exp in total. If we give Dragon one extra exp to make up for the fewer pokemon sent out, then it's all even no matter who wins or loses! Of course, Negrek might object to that... I guess we can figure it out once the battle actually ends?

Of course, if you're both fine with the current set-up, we can just not change anything.

Also, bulbasaur, you might want to post your commands :p

I'm fine with it if Negrek is.

So! Let's do this! Aurum! Bagon! On your marks! First, Aurum, we want you to Hone Claws first. Then, go with two delayed (until Taggerung's finished his attack, at least) Earth Powers, both at Tagg. If Tagg's underground, or Tagg has any Double Team clones when you are to attack (meaning, damage Tagg), Earthquake! Of course, you have the usual Protect against Swagger and Attract and Switcheroo attempts.

Hone Claws/Protect~(Wait, then) Earth Power/Earthquake/Protect x2

Bagon! Let's go with three Double-Edges at Taggerung. Of course, Protect against Attract and Swagger. Finally, if there's any Double Team clones on Tagg's side, Aerial Ace them away.

Double Edge@Tagg/Protect/Aerial Ace x3

Alright! Let's start with you, Taggerung. Use those ridiculous tails and fly up out of the reach of all attacks. That probably doesn't have to be too high. Throw a Blizzard or two in there, and do your best not to hit Venipede with those!

fly up and Blizzard~Blizzard~Blizzard

Venipede, you'll want to get out of the way of Tagg's incoming Blizzards with Agility! Try to get behind him or something. Then follow up with some Toxic Spikes. If both your opponents are poisoned then drench Bagon in a Venoshock, but if they both aren't then throw some more Toxic Spikes around. Mind that you keep out of the way of those Blizzards!

The forest clearing has seen its share of battles. Being a clearing with access to water in the middle of the forest means that many, many, many trainers like to stop here for a rest, and trainers always mean pokemon battles. This time is no different. Two trainers, bulbasaur and Windyragon (from now on known as Dragon because it's easier to type) gathered at the clearing, ready to out-asian each other in a battle of wits. Actually, no, they're just here for a pokemon battle.

The referee waved a flag (it was too busy chewing on some food to speak), and the two trainers tossed their pokeballs. The field was briefly covered with bursts of blinding white light as the battling pokemon materialized on the field--a calm and slightly confused-looking shrew, a blue lizard with a rock-hard head, a moth, an excited orange otter, and a pill bug, all ready to fight. However, the battle today is rather...odd. Instead of having an even number of battling pokemon, there are instead five. Actually, no, there is an even number of pokemon. Vulkan scurried away, not participating in the battle for the moment.

The referee promptly got hit on the head by a brick that fell out of nowhere. "Grfmsdmmgh Round Start!"

Round One

It was only the first action and the laws of physics and logic are already being defied. Taggerung the buizel, the fastest of five, spun its nonsensical tails like propellers (don't think about it! Don't think about it!) and took into the air like some sort of neon orange helicopter. The buizel opened its mouth and sucked in air--uh oh, time to scram. At the same time, the referee, bulbasaur, and Venipede the nameless venipede leapt to the side, the purple pill bug displaying an impressive burst of speed as it scurried the heck outta there. The venipede escaped not a moment too soon; right after she reached a safe-looking spot behind the hovering Taggerung, the hovering buizel sent out an impressive blast of ice and cold wind, sending the three opponents unfortunate enough to be in his way flying backwards with the force. When the Blizzard stopped, bulbasaur's half of the field was covered with snow and ice. It gave the whole arena a rather festive cheer, really (unless you live in the southern hemisphere).

Aurum the sandshrew crawled out of the mess of fallen leaves and snow, his black beady eyes focused on the smug-looking buizel. That otter looked like danger. Aurum swiped his claws against his hard scales, sharpening them to dangerous points. Bagon wasn't about to sit around and plan ahead, however; he was here to kill things and that buizel had almost froze his scales off. Screaming in rage, the bagon recklessly threw himself at the hovering buizel and almost smacked the gloating otter right out of the air. Bagon landed on the ground, almost stepping on Venipede (who's still running in circles), feeling slightly less angry now that the buizel was wheezing in pain.

Vulkan blinked. Was he supposed to be doing something? Everyone else had finished already...

Meanwhile, Venipede had finished running in circles behind Taggerung. Her muscles warmed up and relaxed, she was feeling fast! Maybe fast enough to beat her partner buizel--or not, as the orange otter opened his mouth and filled up the arena with snow again. Even Bagon was caught in the fray and tossed back into a dragon's hell. Venipede decided that it might be a good idea to not interrupt Taggerung while the otter is busy freezing things and instead scurried about her side of the field, leaving a trail of small, purple, and very very pointy things in her wake.

Bagon once again popped his head out of the snow and decided that he needed to murder something. He once again tossed himself recklessly at the flying buizel, making Taggerung almost choke on a mouthful of snow, before landing on the ground in a most gracefully. By that I mean straight into a patch of Toxic Spikes. Giving out a horrific yelp of pain, the Bagon leapt into the air and bounced back to his side of the battle field. Dark purple poison oozed out of the small puncture wounds on his foot, and the Bagon instinctively tossed the small berry he was holding into his mouth. The healing properties of the Lum Berry soon took its effect, and the dark poison ooze faded away to nothing.

Commercial Break
Camera scans over various wooden crates and boxes. Inside of each each are mountains of fresh, juicy berries of all the colors of the rainbow and more. The camera pans over crates of deliciously red Cheri Berries, shocking blue Yache Berries, mysterious Enigma Berries, and mouth-watering Sitrus Berries. Soft, cheerful music is playing in the background.

Then, the camera zooms out, showing a small, odd-looking building surrounded by berry trees. A trainer stands to the side of the building.

"Come buy some berries at Blastoise's Sunnenrain Berry Mart!" The trainer says with a smile.
Now back to your regularly scheduled programming.

Aurum, shivering from the cold, popped his head out of the snow. Tagg had definitely attacked by now, so it was now his turn. The sandshrew roared (read: squeaked), and the dirt below Taggerung's feet exploded in an impressive burst of earthly energy. Taggerung merely snickered at the attack, completely unaffected by the spray of dirt and grass due to his nonsensical tails.

Taggerung opened its mouth again and gave the battle more winter cheer (apologies again for those who live in the southern hemisphere). Venipede, after deciding that the Bagon didn't look very poisoned (it wasn't oozing or coughing with pain or anything), once again scurried around behind Taggerung until the ground was absolutely covered with spikey purple things. Only Arceus knows how the bug can produce so much mass out of nowhere. Taggerung, tired but triumphant, ended his barrage of Blizzard attacks and surveyed his handiwork. Yes, bulbasaur's side of the field is absolutely covered with snow now. The Bagon's probably frozen to death by this point--what's this?

Bagon seemed to have learned from the previous two Blizzards. He managed to escape the last barrage of ice and wind by hiding behind his teammate Vulkan and warming himself with the insect's heat. Now, filled with rage and ready to take some revenge, he once again threw himself head-first at Taggerung--and smacked straight into the heavily spiked ground while the orange otter laughed behind him. This time, there was no Lum Berry to save the Bagon, and the dragon winced as the poison sunk into his system.

Meanwhile, frustrated that his attacks would do no good but having no other choice, Aurum screamed again and watched the earth explode harmlessly below the flying Taggerung.

- bulbasaur's side of the field is covered with snow and looks as if it had been hit by a blizzard--oh wait....
- Dragon's side of the field is covered with a thick layer of Toxic Spikes. It would hurt of anyone landed on there.

Notes:
- Tagg can't fly high enough to dodge Double Edge without using Fly, but it made Bagon use up more energy since it is pretty far away. Double Edge also has reduced accuracy.
- Bagon ate his Lum Berry in the middle of the second action, causing Venipede to Toxic Spikes again.
- The third Blizzard missed Bagon
- But the third Double Edge missed Taggerung, so I guess they're equal
- I wonder if Blastoise will pay me for the commercial?
- I'm using a modified Negrek scale that takes a pokemon's base stats into consideration. There should not be more than a +-4% of difference from "normal" calculations though.
- Dragon commands first
- bulbasaur commands
- I fix the wall of text later

ahahahaha yes good. Very good.

Alright Tagg, you're doing pretty well! Gimme another three multiple-targeted Blizzards. Take care not to hit Venipede with anything, as usual! If both your opponents Protect/Detect from your Blizzards, Bulk Up, I guess. Buizels need a bigger movepool D: If Vulkan gets switched in, switch to Aqua Tail on him unless he Protect/Detects, then Bulk Up blah blah.

Taggerung: Blizzard/Aqua Tail@Vulkan/Bulk Up x3

As for you, Venipede; let's get to work on some actual damage. Venoshock the hell out of Bagon! ..Though if Aurum gets poisoned, start spraying him with that Venoshock instead. Also see if you can kick/throw/move some of those Poison Spikes into the snow? If you don't have any time for that, don't worry though. If your target is Protecting/Detecting.. Defense Curl, then. Your movepool is even shallower than Tagg's :[ Both Bagon and Aurum can't get switched out at the same time, so if Vulkan gets switched in just hit the other Pokemon.

Venipede: Venoshock@Bagon/Venoshock@Aurum/Defense Curl

Round Two

The referee seemed to be messing with some machinery or another and was too busy to start the round with the whole flag-waving thing it was supposed to, so the pokemon decided to continue their fight without the ref. The battle started with, yup, more snow. Taggerung opened his mouth and sent out another dreaded blast of snow at his opponents, watching with glee as the Bagon and Sandshrew disappeared under a pile of snow. The lower branches of the trees on bulbasaur's side were starting to sag with the weight of all the snow on top. Taggerung was starting to get bored of all these Blizzards, but it is quite amusing to see that Bagon get annoyed.

Speaking of which, Bagon was not having a good day. The dragon leapt out of the snow with a terrifying roar--too bad Venipede was waiting for him, and Bagon's roar was cut short when the dragon found himself choking on a mouthful of poison. The bagon spent a good few minutes coughing and heaving in pain as the Venoshock (which he managed to swallow most of) reacted with the Toxic in his system. It was the last straw. Dark purple poison dripping out of his jaw like blood, the bagon gave an earth-shattering roar and exploded in a swathe of dragon fire. Flames whirling around him, the bagon charged straight between his two opponents and started clawing and biting at anything that moved. Taggerung managed to escape most of the punches by the sheer virtue of his nonsensical tails, but he couldn't escape the wrath of dragon fire. After a while, Bagon finished bashing Venipede upside the head and retreated, still ready to commit murder.

Venipede had more attacks going her way. Aurum, who was freezing cold and glad for any chance of exercise, curled himself up into a ball and started rolling. The sandshrew was soon a yellow blur, and Venipede gave a (what noise do bugs make again?) squeak of fear as the large rolling ball of death loomed closer and closer. Suddenly, the sandshrew hit a particularly large patch of Toxic Spikes and veered off course, glancing by the Venipede. The attack still hit, but it dealt less damage than it otherwise would.

Meanwhile, Taggerung was feeling quite cheerful. The red and green dragon fire and the white snow really went well together, even if the holiday season was almost over. He might as well as milk it while it lasts. Opening his mouth, Taggerung once again brought joy to the world while Christmas music played in the background (the referee patted its radio). Bagon was once again covered with snow, but Aurum, whirling around in circles about a tree, managed to escape the Blizzard. However, Venipede had been keeping her eyes on the sandshrew and smacked it in the head with a well-aimed Venoshock.

After the Blizzard subsided, Bagon once again burst out of the snow, screaming obscenities while swathed in dragon fire. The pain from the multiple Blizzards was almost getting too much to bear, but like hell was he going down without a fight. This time, the Bagon aimed his attack at the source of his pain--the flying buizel. With a flying leap, the bagon tackled Taggerung, almost knocking the buizel out of the air, and started throttling the buizel as hard as he could. Taggerung, crying out in pain, let out another onslaught of Blizzard, but the bagon attached to his legs proved to be too much of a distraction and caused the attack to go wide. The Blizzard shot straight into the sky and came back down as little, light snowflakes. It was sort of pretty, really. Thanks to Bagon's efforts, Aurum breathed a sigh of relief, glad that he didn't have to suffer more of the cold. He did have to suffer more poison damage, however, because the wounds from the Toxic Spikes were definitely oozing an unhealthy purple (come buy berries at the Sunnenrain Berry Mart!), and Venipede continued with her command of drenching her opponents with Venoshocks.

Meanwhile, Taggerung finally managed to shake Bagon off of himself. Too tired from the previous Outrages and in too much pain to balance properly, the bagon landed awkwardly on one side, hurting himself as he did so. Meanwhile, Aurum, still curled up despite the Toxic Spikes stuck to his feet (buy berries at the Sunnenrain Berry Mart!), started rolling straight toward Venipede. This time, the RNGs were willing and the attack hit. Thankfully for Venipede, her opponent wasn't donphan-sized, and she avoided being crushed to her death, but it still hurt. A lot.

Hey guys, I'm alive; sorry for the delay. Truly, I am.

Bagon: Double-edge @ Tagg/Venipede /Draco Meteor x3. Draco Meteor at Venipede if Tagg's attempting to Me First, at Venipede otherwise. Then: if Tagg is too far up in the sky or down in the water or has clones or is preparing to Me First, Double-Edge at Venipede. Otherwise, direct it at Tagg.

Aurum: Rollout@Venipede~Rollout@Venipede/Façade @ Venipede/Façade @ Taggerung x2. Façade if Rollout misses. Façade at Venipede if Tagg is too far up in the sky or down in the water or has clones or is preparing to Me First, at Tagg otherwise.

Right so, Tagg! Knock Bagon out of commission with a nice Ice Beam. That should do it! And then just Aqua Tail Aurum in the face a few times.

And Venipede! (Whose name is Ratha now.) Agility out of the way of that first Rollout, then Venoshock. One should do it, but just to be safe keep spitting those out!
